He is truly an artist when it comes to his craft. The result for me is a thicker more natural hairline and fuller crown. Dr. Ballon took the time to explain the process to me along with risks and benefits and let me come to my decision with no pressure from him. Anybody in need of a hair transplant should look no further than Dr. Ballon. I know many men and a few women who have have a hair transplant from Dr. Ballon and sing his praises.

After my transplant with Dr. Ballon, my receding hairline was gone, but no one guessed that I had had the surgery. My own MOTHER asked if I had lost weight, but didn't guess that I had a new head of hair. When I look at before and after photos, the difference is amazing, yet there's no straight lines or graft clumping that can often give away that a procedure has been done. I now have a head of hair that I can comb and style (I recently changed my "look" - there's now enough hair to do that!), and makes me look ten years younger. During the entire process, pre-op, during the procedure, and post op, Dr. Ballon was available, focused, supportive, and gave the kind of patient, authoritative advice that inspires confidence. He's the only guy I would ever use.

She said we would have to custom order it to make it into my hair color. I would have to spend about $750 on a wig before being able to see one in my color. I also knew they carried black wigs because the lady next to me were being shown them. For the lady next to me, her hairdresser was asking questions to her, making her feel comfortable and making sure everything she tried on was ok, while mine did the opposite. I was there for less than 10 minutes and they told me to pay $25 for the consultation fee that they never even specified to me. This is the first time I've been to a wig shop. I was so nervous and my nerves have gotten even worse while I was there. They even told me that they do not take any measurements either. They were all way out of my price range. I am practically in tears right now. I will not stop into this wig shop ever again. Once I step into stores I wonder if I will be treated like all the other customers because of how short and young looking I look. I'm in my 40s. Now I know I will not be treated the same. I'm never coming here again. I did notice a trend when I walked in there. The older ladies who were shopping around and having wigs put on them were treated much more nicely than someone like me.

Then a few days later, someone else from his office emails me telling me their will be a $200 consultation fee. I told him that when I made the appt, she never told me that; he said, that's b/c she's new. I tried to explain that many other hair transplant MD's don't charge anything for the first consult but he said that's not their policy and that he'll run it past Dr. Cole. Well, than a few hours later, I got a nasty email from Dr. Cole himself, stating: "I encourage you to find another physician to take care of your hair loss. I do not give my time for free unless I like the patient......If you think the work I do isn't that impressive, go see another physician whose free consultations are the only thing separating him or her from high quality work". This email of his totally explained why he's got so many negative reviews. When I suggested that he should go online and check out his negative reviews mostly centered around him being very rude and arrogant, he replied, "I'll look and I will consider suing you". First I laughed and then I did some more digging into his past history with the Georgia Composite Medical Board (available online to anyone). I found that he has two reprimands listed with the Ga Medical Board: "Division of Professional Regulation 10/15/2010 .... Reprimand Medical Board of California 04/07/2011 ..... Reprimand". He's NOT board certified in either Internal Medicine or Dermatology. It doesn't appear that he's board certified in any field of medicine! As arrogant as he acts, he's NOT even International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) or American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) certified - two of the most well known and highly respected hair restoration boards. And he's had fines imposed on him by the Ga Medical Board for: Unlawful dispensing of drugs and administering of EXPIRED DRUGS - charged $20,000 in fines in April 2010: "On or about March 17, 2008, Board investigative agents and agents from the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency ("GDNA") interviewed Respondent and his employees at Respondent's office, a hair transplant clinic in Alpharetta, GA. During the visit, the GDNA agents conducted an inspection of Respondent's dispensing office and found violations of O.C.G.A. §26-4-60(j) for unlawful dispensing of drugs; Board of Pharmacy Rule 480-28-.08 for administering expired drugs; and O.C.G.A. §16-13-30(g) for unlawful distribution of drugs". So before any of you choose to go with this shady doctor, I'd strongly encourage that you do a bit more research into this guy's past history via a third party, unbiased, reliable agency such as the Ga Composite Medical Board and then decide for yourself.

My results from the procedures with Dr. Cole have exceeded my expectations…read more I list my hair starting at about age 28, and I decided to address my hair loss at age 50. My family has severe hair loss so I preferred to wait until I was over age 40 to evaluate whether hair restoration was a possible option for my genetics. My research was simple. I looked in search engines for the "best hair restoration doctors in the world," and Dr. Cole consistently came up as top 10 , and he was domestic ( my decision was not want to travel internationally for this procedure ). While researching Dr. Cole I was impressed that he does all the procedures himself and also invented many of the instruments in the hair replacement industry. I found the staff friendly and supportive during my consults (mine were done virtually as COVID was still a thing. I chose the CRP plasma treatment along with the procedures for the best chance of success. My first procedure was a little over 4000 grafts, and Dr. Cole focused more on the front half of my head. He told me that he did not do as much in the back-crown as he was hoping I may respond well in the crown area to the topical propecia / minoxidil script he was writing as well as supplements. In the year after the procedure, I did respond , but not as well as expected, so Dr. Cole ordered a a special genetic test to make my script even more precise and I had my second procedure one year later (about 2500 grafts) which filled in the back and some parts of the front hairline. I'm more than happy with the results of this procedure and it has far exceeded what I was expecting from hair replacement. I am now trying more edgy styles like skin fades and plan to grow my hair longer - which is super exciting. I also got back to the gym and lost 25 pounds, so I look and feel like a whole new man. Dr. Cole did strongly advise that I use the suggested supplements and medications to support the hair growth and to decrease any chance of future miniaturization of hair follicles and I am glad that I have followed his plan 100%. I cannot thank Dr Cole enough for taking away the consistent sadness that I experienced about my receding hairline. For me, hair loss made me depressed, and if it makes you sad, just keep in mind that hair transplant is definitely a safe solution for many people that can help you move on in life and feel happy and confident again. I am so satisfied that I found Dr. Cole. His dedication to the art as well as the science of hair restoration is evident in my results and in my confidence.

However, I do not recommend anyone go for help with their hair loss. I was charged a few thousand for a 10 month program consisting of a visit every 4 weeks. At each visit I had red light therapy and micro needling. I even took all of the supplements included and used the shampoo & conditioner included. I did not see any improvement. At half way through the 10 month program, they took pictures and compared them to when I started. They were bragging about how much progress my hair had made in the top section. I then explained to them that that was not true and the fact that I came there for help with the worst part of my head, which was my front hairline area. The great "results" they were trying to claim only appeared that way because 1) I had colored my hair a darker color, so it appeared to have more hair coverage 2) my hair was braided and my scalp was shown more so than when they took the photos later, I had my hair down and therefore my scalp did not show as much as when I had it braided. After my 7th visit, they canceled my appt due to inclement weather and the office was closing early. I was told someone would reach out soon and reschedule me. That never happened. I decided I was so disappointed with not seeing any results, that I decided not to call back and reschedule my appt. I feel that Dr. Nina needs to be honest and let potential clients know that she will not be able to help them based on the reason for their hair loss. I feel that she accepts all who come and consult with her regardless of what is causing their hair loss. Also, the office has a strong smell of an incense or deep floral aroma and it affected my breathing. I did bring that to their attention and at first, Dr. Nina tried to make me think there wasn't a strong odor in the office. On a later date, one of the staff members said there is an aroma that they were aware of. I didn't like the fact that Dr. Nina tried to make me think there wasn't a strong aroma in the office and that I was imagining things. If her practice is based on naturopathic therapies, then she should know not to have strong smells in the office as some clients may have allergies or sensitive lungs due to any number of lung disorders and strong scents can cause health issues. I do not recommend anyone spend thousands of dollars on her treatment "therapy" program. Please keep your money and visit a Dermatologist or do your own research on things that have been proven to work with for hair loss. My hair eventually started to look healthier just by stopping getting my crochet hairstyles where my hair was being braided too tight. Hope this helps. I wish every woman much success on their hair loss journey. Response to Nina/Business Owner's response: to make it clear -- I NEVER wore a crochet style or any other styles during my 7 months of treatment. I always came with my natural hair and had stopped getting crochet styles 3 months prior to coming to my first consultation. Your staff could not have reached my scalp/hair if I had been wearing a crochet or weave or any style that did not allow them access to my hair/scalp. That would have been very counterproductive to my treatments that I paid $3500 for and I don't have money to waste. And you nor your staff ever advised me not to color my hair, which by the way, was not permanent color. I use Adore brand semi-permanent color for my gray hair roots. Had you told me not to use the semi-permanent color while doing my treatments, I would have not. However, that is mild and has never damaged my hair. I did not during your treatments nor since then regain hair growth in my frontal area, so perhaps you should re-read my comment, which does not say that I have regrown hair in my frontal area. I said my top section, which is not the frontal recession at my forehead area. You should know that. You are not a medical doctor, which I understood, however, you should have been able to identify my frontal recession was not something you'd be able to help me with since I did tell you what medical condition I had. This is an error that is going to require a hair transplant, which I kind of figured, but was hoping for results as a last ditch effort. And at no time did I become combative when bringing the aroma issue to your staff. You are flat out lying about that accusation. I brought up the issue and there was a discussion about what it was and I said I would wear a mask on my visits in order to help minimize the breathing issue it was causing. Also, if you get in your feelings about anything you perceive as negative reviews, then perhaps you should not be in business. Your level of maturity and professionalism needs some work if you are going to be in a service related business, especially dealing with something as sensitive as helping people with their hair loss. I don't have anything else to say about this matter
