    New Iberia is a fun, funky, unique restaurant. Such a great addition to a cute town. The service is always great with friendly staff. The food choices are different than your typical pub/bar/American food with flavors from Louisiana. We love the pork belly and greens, the cod, shrimp and chickpea stew, burgers, Boudin balls, fried oysters, well everything we've had is fabulous. They have a great wine selection and great specials. Their crawfish boil queso is delicious. It's fast becoming one of our favorite places. They even have a loyalty/rewards program. If you are looking for a new place to go, give New Iberia a try.

    A very nice smaller restaurant featuring some interesting fusion dishes along with some standard American fare. Service was excellent, and very relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, with a view into the kitchen if you're interested in watching your food being prepared. Everything is delicious!

    Spanish cuisine and then some. Delicious food, inviting atmosphere, they also do catering. Great paella!

They had $5 margaritas that night so I ordered one and we started with an order of their pierogies. There were four and they were served over a smear of their beer cheese. There were ok. I wanted more seasoning in the filling itself. It was pretty bland. For my entree I got their hot dog with chili and cheese with their housemade chips. I was pleasantly surprised to see a cheese sauce on the dog. It was pretty good. Some of the chips were pretty overcooked. The service brought this score down. I think the bartender was busy but plenty of servers were available. There was a lot of conversation at the bar. We probably should have just sat there. We missed out on drink refills, having our order taken promptly, and getting the check when we were ready to leave. Overall there were a lot of interesting things on the menu. I would want to return to see what else tasted good.

    Great Find In Luray…read more Went hiking with my family in Shenandoah National Park this weekend and overnighted in Luray. We happened across The Chop House by mistake and a lucky one it was! Everything about the meal was fantastic! Our server Pete was terrific. My brother-in-law hit the nail on the head when he said "He was the most unpretentious, informative and friendly server I've run across". Very polite and helpful, you could just tell it made Pete happy to be helpful. The menu is not large, but the dishes we ordered were all top notch. First the Focaccia Bread came and it was just right, a good sigh of things to come. Next the Crab Dip. We are from Annapolis, a crab crazy town on the Chesapeake, where every restaurant has their own "award winning" crab dip, so we are very well acquainted with some of the best, but this one knocked it out of the park. It would win the "Best of Annapolis 2026" if this restaurant was in Annapolis. Next came the Sirloin, at Pete's recommendation. Salted perfectly, and cooked correctly to medium rare, with a side of asparagus cooked to crisp perfection and seasoned with a garlic butter that was just fantastic. We rapped it up with a flight of deserts to share, at Pete's recommendation. Deconstructed Cheese Cake, German Chocolate Cake, Creme Brûlée, and three of their house made ice creams. Again, just Wow. And when the bill came, again a very pleasant surprise. Steak dinner for 4, with cocktails and wine and the bill came to $250. Back in Annapolis that meal would have easily been $400 or more at Lunes Steakhouse, Ruth Chris or the Chart House. My wife and I agreed this meal was better than any we've had at any of these high end resturants. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We'll be back, and nothing against the other servers, but we'll make sure it's on a night Pete is working. Great job Pete and to everyone in the kitchen, just a terrific meal. Sides were fine. Service was friendly. Prices were reasonable for the area. They do allow BYOB with corkage fee which is a huge plus. More like 3.5 stars.

We arrived and the valet so kindly opened my door and guided us inside for our reservation. The inn was festively decorated and exuberanted a warmth that was just so welcoming. The staff at the desk was mere incredibly kind. We were taken to our seats and Alejandro our waiter was fabulous the whole night. In fact I can't say enough great things about their staff overall. Catalina definitely made our evening enjoyable while introducing our food and taking our plates. Again everyone did such a fabulous job taking care of us. The FOOD was AMAZING! We ordered the traditional 5 course and each dish was just another challenge to the palate. The balance of flavors and tones. The creative plating. The play on traditional flavors with modern twist. I didn't want the surprise of each dish to stop. We were lucky and during our meal had Chef Patrick O'Connell check on us. We finished the night with a special tour of the kitchen. The timing coincided with…read moreVirginia's state tourism office declining to pay a reported ~$360,000 fee to expand Michelin coverage into more of the state. Others see it as part of a wider "reset" affecting other longtime three-star spots like Alinea (Chicago) and Masa (New York), which also dropped to two stars at the same time. I'm not completely sure why the slight decline but here's my honest view. The scenic drive from DC through the Virginia countryside sounds breathtaking--rolling hills, charming small towns, glimpses of Blue Ridge Mountains but in actuality all of the turns and hills made myself and friend sick. We had to pull over and gather ourselves. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, filled with artwork, pink, green and gold monkey wallpaper and Victorian tables, and English country style. It's maximalist--opulent without being stuffy. Our waitstaff made the evening extra special for my birthday. They constantly wished me a happy birthday, asked thoughtful questions about my life, shared jokes, and engaged in small talk that felt genuine and personal. Not to mention the menu with my name. Each course on the 7-course tasting menu was beautifully presented. We loved having three menu options to choose from: a new seasonal tasting (always fresh and surprising), Enduring Classics (with signature dishes like the iconic lobster preparations or herb-crusted favorites), and a full vegetarian Good Earth menu with the eggplant course being our favorite. The unlimited warm bread service with fresh butter and flaky sea salt was a simple but perfect touch. The Champagne options were endless (their wine list is legendary, with a massive cellar and expert sommeliers), and they even offered a dedicated book/menu highlighting rare waters from around the world--everything from iceberg sources to unique mineral springs. I've never seen a water book before. Standouts for me was the caviar egg, lamb main course and tomato amuse-bouche. If you're looking for a special occasion spot (birthday, anniversary, or just because), this is it. Four people will run you around $2500 including drinks. Con- I would work on the cocktail menu (the Diana tasted like cough medicine). Bring back the pear dessert and portion sizes from 12 years ago. My main lamb portion was embarrassing. Reviewers see pictures for example sizes. Please offer a dedicated pescatarian menu. Overall, Chef Patrick O'Connell and his team did a great job.

When the food came out - the Quiche was cold. I went up to the counter and advised them of the situation. The Chef apologized and said they would re-make it. They advised me the Quiche was a very new addition to the menu and apparently the "thickness" of the Quiche required they heat the Quiche longer. I get that - but shouldn't the kitchen already know this? Anyhow, I'm not sure how much time elapsed as I waited for the second piece of Quiche to come out - it seemed like it was 15-20 minutes, but I can't say for sure. Fortunately, the second piece of Quiche was properly heated throughout - not a bad slice of Quiche - however, the Quiche was under-seasoned. I added a bit of black pepper and hot sauce to give it a boost. The crispy potatoes were hot and crispy, they needed a bit of salt, which I added. My server also gave me a muffin to go - that I did not order. I guess they wanted to make amends for the temperature of the first slice of Quiche. Service was good.
