Stopped in for lunch... Getting there, it wasn't very busy, but within 15 mins, they were packed. The setting is beautiful, with open timber walls and ceilings and an open kitchen too. Service was friendly and excellent. Menu is so tough because there were so many amazing looking options for lunch. They even have rotating daily lunch specials. The theme is New Orleans style cooking and from what I heard about the family, it's legit... From what I tasted, it's most definitely amazing!! I loved the spice and overall flavors in my food. Starting with their BBQ shrimp - this is a large appetizer that was so tasty! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and very fresh. The buttery BBQ sauté was spiced and herbed up perfectly too. It comes with plenty of toast points to dip and sop up that sauce too!! My main dish was their Alpha Girl Po Boy - WOW!!! This was INCREDIBLE! All ingredients were perfectly fresh and perfectly seasoned! The entire sandwich came together amazingly well and was so darn tasty! I even like that they hollowed out a portion of the crown of the baguette to let all that amazing stuffing fit inside without falling out and being a mess. And their homemade, freshly cooked potato chips were incredibly tasty too! I can't wait to return and most definitely will... Highly recommend stopping in! read more

I've been eyeing New Iberia Kitchen for a while now - as I love Cajun cuisine. I finally got to try some of their food on a Sunday. Apparently, currently the only day of the week they offer Brunch is on Sundays. I showed up about 11:00 am. The place was full of diners - so instead of waiting for a table, I sat at the bar. It's not a large bar - I'd say it seats approximately 9-10 people. I ordered the Boudin balls - which come with a tasty dipping sauce called "Swamp Mustard." I also ordered the Cajun Omelette - which is stuffed with "smushed Boudin balls." Comes with a side of rather unexciting breakfast potatoes. The Boudin balls were tasty - and had a nice crispy texture. The Swamp Mustard is really good with the balls. The Cajun Omelette was rather ho-hum - I was expecting and hoping for something with more complexity and heat. The smushed Boudin balls were rather bland. The Omelette was cooked properly. Whenever traveling, my main interest is tasting food I don't have back home and this hit the nail right on the head! A modern take on Creole and Spanish dishes. Everything that came out of the kitchen smelled amazing. We went with a few smaller dishes so as to try a bit of everything, many per the recommendation of our waitress. Of everything we ate, I have to recommend the chicken flautas! Crunchy exterior, soft, aromatic interior, paired with a smooth cream sauce. We had an amazing experience here a few weeks back so I wanted to get to reviewing! Unfortunately for me, we were served seafood after requesting a dietary adjustment at our preplanned dinner. We headed out late on a Friday night in Sperryville to find some alternative noshing to hold me over until the morning so I didn't turn into a monster overnight, haha. We happened upon New Iberia kitchen, hoping their kitchen didn't close an hour before closing time - we were in luck! We sat at the bar, I ordered a glass of wine per recommendation and we put in orders for the pimento cheese, pesto chicken pasta, and chopped beef poboy. We ended up sitting next to the owner and chatting with her and some of the other locals. The food was absolutely delicious, I'm not sure what I liked best! This is a new restaurant/pub inside The Warehouse in Sperryville. Totally open, you can see all the seating from your table, plus the wide-open kitchen, bar, and a small conversation area. It has the comfortable feel of a bright, open, colonial ale house. I think it's a limited, ever-changing menu. Frankly, I didn't get far after the server mentioned fried chicken. It comes with collard greens and biscuits. I'm sure you could swap out sides, but I went with today's special. Chicken was good. Biscuits and greens were great. Bare floors and openness make it acoustically noisy, but tolerable. It looks like this warehouse area is developing into a retail hub of small shops so this eatery should be a great anchor. It seems like a good wedding/reception venue. Or, just move the table to the walls for an old fashioned hoedown. read more

The food and service is good, but they are a little pricey. They'd draw more local business if they would have more American cafe type food on their menu. Be aware that they automatically add 18% to the bill. This does not go to the wait staff, but to the business. I imagine the wait staff earns a living wage instead of the state required $2.13 an hour plus tips. It's a nice place to go to if you want something a little different. read more

It was busy on a Wednesday night. We had to wait about 30 minutes but that was to be expected with the number of people there and it's not very big. But there is plenty of area to hang out and wait for a table. Service was friendly and food came out fast. Would recommend the gumbo and the fried chicken sandwich - both were good! New Iberia is a fun, funky, unique restaurant. Such a great addition to a cute town. The service is always great with friendly staff. The food choices are different than your typical pub/bar/American food with flavors from Louisiana. We love the pork belly and greens, the cod, shrimp and chickpea stew, burgers, Boudin balls, fried oysters, well everything we've had is fabulous. They have a great wine selection and great specials. Their crawfish boil queso is delicious. It's fast becoming one of our favorite places. They even have a loyalty/rewards program. A very nice smaller restaurant featuring some interesting fusion dishes along with some standard American fare. This place was such a good find in Sperryville. The plantains were the best thing we got!! I wanted to go back the next day to grab some to-go. We also had the stuffed peppers, the quinoa salad, the pecan pesto pasta, the fried oysters, and the patatas bravas. The patatas bravas needed to be a little crispier, but everything was delicious and hit the spot. They were out of the shishitos, and that was sad. This place is so cute, though. Third time we have been here in the last 3 months. Each time it has taken over 40 minutes to get our food. First two times, appetizer came out after our entrees. Today, Was there for an hour and a half without being served food. My husband got his food which was cold, waited for mine for another 30 minutes before asking for the check. Drinks went empty. To compensate, they gave us a bowl of fries with no ketchup and some "pickles". The food is good when you eventually get it. Pretty pricey to wait that long for food and to not be checked on by staff. Hopefully they fix their staffing issue. read more

New amazing spot in Sperryville! Starting off with a pleasant greeting at the door to the restaurant, we were seated quickly and treated to a delight of Abita beer on tap! The lunch menu was simple and clean, the boudin balls were a trip home to Louisiana and the poboy my wife and I split was delightful and filling. I've had the pleasure of dining at New Iberia several times since the opening of their brick-and-mortar location and, before that, regularly enjoyed take away dishes from their food truck. Without exaggeration, New Iberia is the hot new restaurant making waves in the Sperryville Marketplace and for good reason. As soon as my family sat down to our first meal there several months ago, I knew this place was something special. The food is absolutely delicious and the service has been consistently excellent! And the portions? Big enough to treat yourself to at least one more meal of left-overs the day after. Chef Nick has a talent for taking classic comfort dishes and elevating them with unique ingredient combinations and culinary flair. I especially loved the jambalaya, packed with plump shrimp, smoked andouille sausage, and tender chicken - kind of like a party in my mouth. Even simple menu items go above and beyond, like their house-made pickles and wings. In fact, a few weeks ago my young kids insisted that I drive over to New Iberia and pick up three orders of wings for dinner because they love them so much (and my kids are very picky eaters). Beyond excellent execution, the menu also offers creativity and diversity. There are Spanish and Louisiana influences that keep things interesting while paying homage to the owners' roots. I've been to New Orleans several times and Chef Nick's creative take on Cajun-influenced food rivals some of the best meals I remember having during my travels there. I've dined with New Iberia several times now and have yet to be disappointed by something I've tried. The food tastes like it comes straight from a Michelin-starred restaurant but the prices are fair and portions generous. Pretty much any visit feels celebratory, even if you're just there to take a night off from cooking at home. From the fun, relaxed atmosphere to the incredible dishes, New Iberia is a new local gem that will exceed your expectations. I wish I could eat there every night! read more
