I went today for a facial that I purchased through Groupon. The facial was great! I have no complaints and I would rate the facial as 5 stars. I made the mistake of staying for a pedicure afterwards. I had to wait for half an hour before it started. The lady who did my pedicure cut my nails completely unevenly and made several comments that I considered to be rude. They did not have the color I chose from their cards and could not find my second choice color. I eventually asked for no polish just so I could leave. I was satisfied with my experience with Tammy and New Image Day Spa. I will say the process was more lengthy than expected, and even with groupon rates, the place is still not a steal-deal. I got gel french on my fingers and normal french on my toes. Tammy listened to how I wanted my nails cut and honored my ask to not cut my cuticles around my whole nail bed. My gel lasted a very long time, I'm 3 weeks out and only have small chips on my right hand thumb and pointer finger (which are my most used fingers and makes sense. My toes chipped on the quicker side, but I don't think that had to do with how Tammy performed. The one thing I will say is I am skeptical about how the pedicure foot baths are cleaned. Tiffany took her time with my hands and feet and it did not feel rushed at all. My feet soaked while she did my manicure. We chatted a bit here and there, but I was really able to relax and enjoy the experience. The salon was busy, but not overly so. Well I loved the way Tiffany initially did my nails. I originally purchased through Groupon. Since Tiffany provided good service & Groupon offered option to "buy again" I went ahead & purchased again. Plus, I purchased other services, threading, pedicure. And I even made an appointment to do facial tomorrow...well, the owner comes to me and says to read the fine print before buying. If I could give them no stars, I would. For one I scheduled for 4pm. Lady claims I said 3. Well honey I worked so no way I was going to do it for 3 if I have a set schedule getting off at 3:30. So she wasn't even there and they had to call her to come. Next, I came in for a threading service, not a plucking one. Plucked more than she threaded and left them half way done! Very messy. Never have had anyone thread my eyebrows the way she did. I understand sometimes you need to pluck, but some spots not all ! Second service was eyebrow tinting. She didn't even tint them! I do not recommend this nail spa. Their work is aesthetically pleasing but DOES NOT hold up well and they DO NOT stand behind their services. I took my mother here on Saturday, May 11, 2019 for our Mother's Day. We had seen a Groupon for the services we were interested in so I called and spoke to Beena about those services. She offered we come in without buying the Groupons and she'd honor the pricing, which she did. We asked for gel at and additional cost of $10 each. Not so bad. Unfortunately the quality of their work, while it looks nice, is poor. My mother got the DELUXE spa mani/pedi with gel on the mani but there was nothin deluxe about it. As well as that, her gel polish manicure began chipping the very next day. I got a full set of acrylics with gel and they looked great but by the following Monday - only two days later - more than half of them had just fallen off without any logical reason. I called on Monday and left a message explaining what had happened. By Wednesday morning I still had not heard back so I reached out via text and explained again only to be told that they do not guarantee acrylics. This is completely unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. I have been to numerous salons who have ALWAYS backed the services they provide by correcting any issues that arose in that kind of time frame. If you cannot back the services you provide, why should anyone believe those services are worth the cost. I could've taken my mother to our usual place and gotten better service (both in terms of quality and aftercare) and would have spent barely much more. We went here because we had heard good things and thought we'd be saving a little money since they'd honor the Groupon pricing but it ended up costing almost as much as it would have to have gone to our usual place (which, alongside many other salons, charges no more than $5 to add gel)! I'm extremely upset and unsatisfied with how they've chosen to respond to the poor quality service received. Beyond saying they do not back their services, Beena also chose to just not reply altogether when I expressed how unprofessional and upsetting that is. One of the best I have ever had! Tammy scrubbed our legs and arms with sugar scrub, then put an oil treatment and a mud mask AND a parrafin wax! The owner is terrible. I bought a Groupon for my mom for Mother's Day and she called me saying they wouldn't let her use it because she's used one before. I didn't know when I bought it for her that she's been there before. I even called the owner and said that the Groupon is in my name, not my moms. Please heed the other reviews. I wanted to get my nails done so I looked on Groupon for a discount to go with my boyfriend. We saw a Groupon for a mani pedi for $28 and thought that was a pretty good deal. I called the place before I bought the Groupon to make sure there was availability and the owner said to just come in and show the Groupon price and pay her directly. Turns out this place doesn't exist and that they have moved and changed their name. Very confusing. Another customer mentioned it on the phone as well. I saw another review like this, but figured with the prices being so good, we should just try it out. As we arrived, they let us know there would be a $15 extra charge if I wanted gel. I asked about dip and she said it was the same as gel and that it was normally $40. Both my boyfriend and I understood that as they would do the same extra charge of $15 on top of the Groupon price (important for later). The place was empty and no music was playing. Two older women did our nails and took their time. They were very nice. Another women sat there the entire time, While the two women did our pedicures and then asked us to move to the chairs for our manicures. Over all the services took close to two hours. When it came time to pay, the owner said my total was $100.... $28 x 2 +$15 should have been $71. She ended up charging me full price for both my manicure and pedicure. I told her the reason we chose that salon was for the deal and reminded her of our verbal agreement and she completely denied everything saying I didn't get that service so I needed to pay full price. My boyfriend who still had messed up feet and no polish did get the deal. The bottom of his feet still looked horrendous and he was not happy with it. My manicure was okay, but I did like my pedicure. I told her that wasn't right and that is not what she said and she continued to deny it and said she told me it was $40 for the manicure and $25 for the pedicure. I asked if she would come to a compromise and she only took $8 off. I was already unsure about this place going in, and it truly was not worth it. We will honestly never be back. I made an appointment days in advance, and after receiving text messages saying they are running late and to come in later, they did not even see me at the later time they rescheduled me for. I waited an extra half hour at the salon only to run out of time and have to leave. I didn't get a chance to have my nails done, but they redeemed my Groupon when I walked in so they told me I would have to work with Groupon to get refunded. However Groupon does not give refunds on redeemed groupons, so I wasted my money. Also the lady I assume who owns the salon was extremely rude to her employees and to me. I came in at 5pm and waited 5-10 mins for my hair dresser to come out to greet me, he asked how I wanted my hair and told him, he did a decent job but nothing I couldn't do myself.
