We ordered the chicken kafta, spicy, veggies with side salad, chicken gallaba with hummus, spicy, side salad and a tabouli too. The house salad isn't bad, would be better with more romaine than iceberg. The dressing is good. The tabouli is good, fresh, nice mixed in with the house salad. The portions here are generous. Lots of grilled veggies. Hummus is good, smooth. Tastes a bit different, but still good. The garlic sauce is a bit tart, but still yummy. The chicken gallaba is tasty, not spicy, but flavorful. Lots of peppers, onions and carrots. The chicken kafta meat is okay. Not spicy and doesn't have a ton of flavor on their own, but better with the hummus and garlic sauce. Our waitress was quite busy with the tables and taking carry out orders. She hasn't had much time to clear the 3 tables that left until midway through our meal. Chicken is just okay with mild flavor, not dry, not moist, or a wow factor, just there. Rice is good Fattoush salad, let's just say my wife put ranch dressing over the lettuce, burnt pita, and the existing dressing. I passed after a few tries. Kabob Eden is a family owned small business that serves Mediterranean style food. It is a take out spot and the owners are extremely friendly and polite. I ordered a 1/2 deboned chicken plate, rice, bread and spinach pie. After ordering, I received a call back from the owner stating g that they were unable to fulfill the spinach pie. He offered grape leaves instead, which I happily agreed to. The food was plentiful and delicious. It was enough for my family of four. The food was the best I have had on the east side. Absolutely remarkable flavor. The restaurant was clean and the staff was efficient and polite. We have found our new go to spot for Mediterranean meals and catering. I'm almost 100% sure I wrote this review years ago. Oh well.. again here we go! I've been coming here since conception. I knew the guy that started this place. Such an awesome young entrepreneur. He actually has started a few great places like this in the area. He gets them rolling well, gets the clientele and then sells them. As for food. I have never had one thing here that is bad. The garlic is the perfect balance of garlic and lemon. Whipped to perfection. The bread served is fantastic broken into pieces and lathered with garlic. Usually I do a mixed shawarma plate. Or even the sandwich. The chicken is always fresh, delicious and season right. Also, their lentil soup that you get is so good on a cold day like today. I kept taking bites and saying "mmmm" it was because my insides were warming up, finally. The inside is like any other middle eastern restaurant, but, they are always busy. Today while enjoying my soup, just relaxing, people were in and out, 6-7 tables full. Police come in here a lot. Can you blame them? On any given day there are multiple units of the Sterling Heights police in and out of here. The owners are genuinely good people. They are fast, efficient, and never skimp on the food. I don't mind being the odd man out here. It is possibly because I had such high expectations for this place seeing all the 5 star reviews. For me this place just isn't there. I ordered chicken kafta, chicken kabobs, tabouli and rice pudding. Great location pretty dated on the inside I don't mind this as long as the inside is clean. Which it was. It was kind of tough communicating what I was looking for. They were super helpful though. I ordered my food to go. Got home and everything was packaged well for travel so that was a plus. The chicken kafta and chicken kabobs were ok but a bit dry and bland for my liking. The tabouli was bleh chunks of quinoa throughout which I wasn't to pleased with. Fatoosh dressing was just ok. For the price which is above average this place lacked that authentic flavor I was craving. I did eat until I was full but left the table still wanting that middle eastern flavor! For the most disappointing was the rice pudding, this was inedible! It had a taste of perfume slash chemically flavor. I had two spoons and couldn't even get past the perfume taste. Soo odd! I'm not sure I would ever go out of my way for a place that has so many 5 star reviews again, since they are getting more unreliable. read more

I saw all the five star reviews and was like there's gotta be a hidden gem here that I don't even know about right around the corner from me. Fellow Yelpers you did not disappoint!!! The owners were at the front counter when I came in and greeted me. It's not an over the top fancy place, but the murals are pretty. The smell of the food as it's cooking is a delightful tease before you are able to actually eat. Some places make their Toom too garlicky, but it was just perfect. I ordered the Chicken Schwarma dinner with hummus, side order of roasted veggies and grape leaves as an appetizer. Was I hungry? Yes. Was the food delicious? Absolutely! My new lunch spot for middle eastern. Located in a strip mall this place may be missed while driving down Van Dyke. They offer inside seating and have an easy takeout and pickup window. They have all your wants and favorites on the menu from Rice almond Salad to a chicken and hummus entree to cream shop and lunch specials are offered. Prices are great and helpings are GENEROUS! The hummus is fantastic and the chicken is tender and flavorful. They offer a small upcharge for tabbouli with your entrees and and lunch specials and the tabbouli is goooood! They throw in a 2oz garlic and tons of pita as well. And service was pleasant. Tastes authentic and not commercialized. After a friend told me how much they liked this place, I knew I had to add it to my bookmarks of places to try and I'm happy I did. It's a small family owned establishment with comfortable seating that offers both booths and tables and the walls are painted with beautiful and scenic artwork. Upon entering, the first thing I did notice was how clean and neat looking it was. It was lunchtime and we were greeted very promptly with a friendly smile and after looking at all of the tempting choices, I decided to go with the Chicken Cream Chops. The delicious chicken came with a large serving of rice and I ended up taking home the leftovers and having them for dinner. Yep, it was that good. Luckily for us, Kabob Eden was in close proximity, had fantastic reviews, and were open to serve carryout only. Located in a plaza, Kabob Eden is a small restaurant that's difficult to see from a distance. We walked in and were greeted by the friendliest people. We checked out the menu and placed our order. I ordered my chicken fattoush salad with feta cheese. I was pleased to see they had feta. Believe it or not, many Lebanese restaurants, do not carry feta. He ordered a chicken shawarma. We ordered extra garlic sauce, and they offered us a bowl of lentil soup on the house. I couldn't wait to get back home and dig in! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the flavor simply delish. We were both impressed by the size of the shawarma sandwich. I ordered a medium size salad and it was large enough for two people. The salad dressing was fantastic. Just a note: If you order salad, have your dressing on the side. If you put dressing on your salad and end up having left overs, it's too watery the next day. The lentil soup was probably the best I've ever tasted. The restaurant was super clean and they were so grateful for the business. If you are in the area, Kabob Eden is a fantastic choice. I wanted to give this place 4 stars because during the winter it's SO cold in this restaurant.... However, the food surpasses that by far. The portions and the quality of the food.. 5 stars no doubt. I always start with the lemon rice soup and my husband has the fattoush salad. The lemon rice soup taste home made, and the dressing on the fattoush salad is perfect. The veggies they put on the salad are crispy, just ripe and fresh. We always order the deboned chicken with rice and it is probably the best deboned chicken we've had thus far. It's always juicy and never dry. The portion sizes are huge as well. The garlic sauce isn't over powering like some other places can be. The only thing really missing is the fresh bread instead of the pita bread but they don't have the oven for it. We will always come here if we are in the area!! read more

Another Yelp Elite made me try this place!! Doesn't look like much from the outside, being in a small plaza and being probably the smallest business here. You can barely see the sign from the parking lot, and definitely can't see it from the street, but don't pass up checking it out!! I used to work at a busy shawarma restaurant in Bloomfield, and my in-laws are Arabic, so my standards are very high! Well I promise you'll love it here if the rest of the food is as delicious as today's order!! Fresh pita chips, hot grilled seal on my wrap so it stays closed, crispy, and doesn't leak, and the fattoush dressing is homemade of course. This place is definitely a MUST TRY! 1 point off because I can tell the chicken wasn't freshly breaded and fried to order but instead was a little dry and burnt around the edges. read more

What's there to say that hasn't already been said??!! Oh I got something. The Fried Kibbee. GET THE FRIED KIBBEE!!! I'm been coming here for almost a year, by the lure of Ron. C's drool worthy pictures, and I'm sorry I'm just now doing my review. This place is the cats pajamas!!! The fried Kibbee is probably the BEST I've ever eaten! Made and fried fresh to order, when I get it home it's still too damn hot to eat! There is 6 HUGE football shaped pieces to an order and it's accompanied by tahini sauce. My 1 gripe is, how it's packaged. Sometimes I get a lettuce, pickle, turnip garnish, and sometimes I don't get anything but the balls in a styrofoam container. Sometimes I get the tahini sauce, sometimes I get garlic sauce, sometimes I don't get anything. I've learned to double check for the sauce before leaving with my carry out. The same story with the side of pickles I always order. Sometimes the side order is very generous in the container, sometimes it's a smaller side order. I've had the large rice almond salad with chicken, the chicken shawarma lunch which includes a beyond generous amount of rice and a side salad that makes other salads seem sad. The rice is Perfectly cooked -every single time! And the salad is always cold and full of Fresh veggies! No brown, wilted pieces ever, of garbage core pieces. This place takes pride in everything they serve! And the employees are super friendly and appreciative your business! You always get delicious garlic dip with tour order, and I imagine this is what addicts feel like who are hooked on drugs. This stuff is addicting!! Cannot stop eating it!! The pita bread they provide is the thin type, that's prepackaged in sandwich size bags. It's always fresh and makes a delicious utensil for shoveling all of Kabob Edens amazing FRESH food into your mouth! I love this place. What else can I say? Get the FRIED KIBBEE!!
