This review is long overdue, as we moved mid-October 2025. We would not have been able to move in a timely fashion without their packing and unpacking services. Everything was packed with great care and the items they unpacked were organized very nicely in our new home. They were very accommodating about removing our boxes and even notified us when they found a precious framed photo in the packing material we sent back to them. That photo was mailed back to us right away! Their service is very expensive. Because of this, we chose to do the unpacking after moving day by ourselves. Unfortunately, our moving day was extra long due to a snafu with the movers (see my review of Fuller moving company), so we went over estimate with New Leaf and not as much unpacking as we had hoped could be done. If I could do this again, I would have added an extra day of unpacking with New Leaf to help with the large boxes and more organization, but as I said before our budget was limited. Sara from New Leaf helped with negotiations with the moving company so we were not overcharged. Their services are very valuable for those of us with physical limitations who want to make moving less stressful. They are professional and very pleasant to work with. Update- I spoke with Stacey and she has clarified a lot of the bumpy parts of our transaction. I should be receiving some documentation within a couple of weeks. It was a pleasure to hear her say something to the effect that she learns from her mistakes and will be able to improve her business as a result of our interaction. They were on time and they did get the house emptied out quickly. It was not smooth or pretty however. They seriously underestimated the haul away amount and I still (months later) have not received any kind of documentation about what (if anything) was auctioned. Furthermore, I continue to receive reminders to pay the bill, even though it was paid in full at least a month ago (they said that is some computer glitch). I think my expectations were too high, having used a very efficient and business like company when my mother-in-law passed. read more

I called on New Leaf to help me move from a studio apartment in an assisted-living facility to a one-bedroom apartment in another such facility. They packed everything superbly, swiftly, and cheerfully. At my new place, they unpacked everything and helped me to place my furniture sensibly. My favorite thing: they hung all my wall art swiftly and attractively-- a big step toward feeling at home in a new place. As I enjoyed New Leaf's expertise-- and their company-- I had to laugh at the memory of my 2021 move from a two-bedroom bungalow to a studio. Then, I downsized on my own-- desperately. I hired movers for my furniture, but my remaining belongings were crammed into a motley variety of boxes and bags, and lugged in the various vehicles of my dear friends and family. We all worked very hard for a very, very long day. And it took weeks and weeks for that studio to feel like home. I knew about New Leaf's services back then. WHY didn't I work with them?? If you are downsizing and/or moving WHY would you want to put yourself and our loved ones to that kind of crazy effort when you could have the help of these powerhouse professionals. It would be hard to overstate the value that New Leaf provided us. We had lived in the same place for 31 years & even thinking about moving was daunting. New Leaf on the other hand does so many moves that they have the whole process nailed. 1) the estimate of what it would take to accomplish our move was exactly right in terms of time & resources that were needed. 2) throughout the move, their communications with us were clear, accurate, and really gave us confidence that we understood what was happening and how things were going to go. They were consistently easy to work with and also patient with our questions & concerns. 3) they worked smoothly with the moving crew and helped them spot where things went - they made good use of the moving crews' time and efforts so things got done quickly & the way we wanted. 4) When it came to the unpacking and resetting us in the new home, they were superb: Instead of weeks/months of cardboard boxes all over, by the time moving day was over, there were only three boxes still packed (at our request) and all our stuff was in the right places & well organized. I realized later that their completeness let us directly move on to living our daily life & spending our time enjoying our new home, neighbors, and ....showing the place off to our friends right away. My Mom was being moved from independent living to a skilled nursing facility and needed to clean out her apartment. I live out of state so it was difficult for me to find places to donate items. Their team went in, cleaned everything out, and took care of everything so when I go to turn in her keys all I have to do is gather our personal items. Their team was very professional and helpful. Outstanding company! Staci and her crew are top notch. Our belongings were treated with great care and respect. All the packing was superior, nothing broken, all labeled. Help was kindly given to declutter 20 years of stuff, a difficult task for me, they made it fun. Move day was made as good as it could be with their help and direction. This is a company I have used twice now, both times with outstanding results. The first was on VERY short notice when a family member needed to vacate their apartment unit quickly and I had no ability to store / distribute furniture and other unneeded items. New Leaf Senior Transitions handled the ENTIRE move out including donating all not needed items, ensuring appropriate donation of large pieces, and providing all of the receipts and other paperwork. They even did significant touch up work at the apartment along with clean-up; ensuring that we received almost all of the deposit back. The second instance was a move for the same family member. New Leaf worked with me to develop a move plan, and they identified all of the required resources. They also provided a timeline so everyone involved was on the same page. The day of the move was flawless and my family member moved into their new space with comfort and ease. Five stars is not enough for this company and it's amazing team! I was fortunate to meet them through a realtor and Staci & Beccie were outstanding! EVERY realtor should be telling their clients about this team. Excellent communication and follow-up! My mother-in-law lost her husband and is moving to assisted living. I want to write a review to let people know how commendable Staci's customer service was for us. We contracted with New Leaf to help pack up my mother's house in California prior to a move to Montana. We had some miscommunication regarding what we were hoping for, as well as an issue with packing materials. Because of the nature of the move, we did not unpack my mother for several weeks. Upon the unpacking, I wrote to Staci to express my concerns and she got back to me immediately. She acknowledged my distress and provided me with the background and detailed notes about the packing that provided good insight as to where we had miscommunication. She acknowledged things that could have been better on her end and worked with me to assure that I wound up a happy customer. It's to bad I can't give this business 10 stars, because they truly deserve a more than outstanding rating. I called New Leaf Senior Transitions to help us move out of our 4,000 sq. ft. home in Roseville. They worked with me for two weeks to get the job done, and I would have never finished were it not for their help. They have an amazingly efficient and easy way of sorting items to keep, donate, sell, or dump, and they kept track of all the donation items for tax purposes. They helped us organize our storage units, pack our moving truck, wrap pictures, pack items to keep or donate, took stuff to the dump, and kept me sane throughout the ordeal. Staci and Connor were absolutely delightful to work with. They never pushed me to get rid of anything if I was hesitant to make a decision, and they were compassionate and caring about things that I cared about. Their services are perfect for seniors, but I think that anyone who is moving and needs help making their way through a houseful of things will find them valuable. They were always on time and communicated their every move. At first, I was uncertain about the cost, but in the end it was well worth every penny.
