I came here asking for just my eyebrows and the lady wanted to thread every other part of my face saying I had so much hair, I couldn't understand what she was saying so I did not respond when she kept asking. She then just began threading my face without me telling her too and then charged me $40 in the end. She also did a terrible job on my eyebrows and cut me with the thread. Muneera also does Brazilian wax, the wax is really smooth and good quality. I also get my hair done here, highlights, root touch up and hair cut. Susan did my hair cut (long layers), she did a beautiful job. She maintained the length I liked and did the layers.. I have been going to this place for over two years and they have always been so reliable! Threading never hurts that badly and they're always quick to fit me in I have never had to wait to be seated which is so helpful when you have a busy day. They're always nice but often try to ask you to do more of their services, which I understand, it's just a business thing. They're the best place in Athens I've gone to that knows how to thread your eyebrows to make them look great and they never make them too thin (which I've definitely experienced from some other places). read more

Found a coupon for a Brazilian wax on Groupon and bought it without looking at the reviews. I left with a tear in my labia and now have a follicular infection. I had a very similar experience to reviewer Lilly Z. No questions about when I had last shaved, no details about what kind of wax was being used, no after care instructions, I was sprayed with "oil", who knows what kind, and she was pitching me their services the entire time. As nice as the technician was I, unfortunately, left very disappointed. I was given very few instructions upon entering, and no explanation as to what kind of wax would be used or questions about skin sensitivity, or the last time the area had been shaved. As a first-time customer, I do think these things should have happened. During the treatment, I did not think it was too painful as a few people mentioned, however, the wax was very hot at certain times. When I looked down there were quite a few spots where I was bleeding, which is likely due to the fact that, from my research, this was not the proper type of wax for a Brazilian wax appointment. I was not deterred by this immediately as I have very sensitive skin and had expected a few spots of blood, however, I should have gotten up and left. When the service was done she asked if I thought the treatment was satisfactory, and I said yes because I didn't want to endure any more of what had already happened. She cleaned off most of the wax with a nondescript spray and wipe and then put on cream from a tube that I could not read. Throughout the whole experience, she constantly tried to upsell me for all of the other services that they offered, even after me continually saying no thank you. Now, a day later I have what seems to be a minor folliculitis infection on some of my hair follicles, and most of my hair is still, which she claims is because it was too short, but I think it is mostly attributed to breakage during the process. While she seemed to sanitize everything well, which she made sure I watched, I do not believe this place is clean enough and it was truly a horrible experience. read more
