Please!!!!! I'm warning you! Avoid this hairdresser Julia by all cost!! I haven't cry so much for a very long time. I came to her this Friday asking for highlight. WHITE highlight! And end up with yellow!! Then I came back next day on Saturday asking to fix it. And this is what she has done!! Instead of getting white highlights I end up with grey-blue lines. Plus she bleached hair around highlight that I didn't ask and now my hair yellow-blue-grey. She claimed I never showed her photo of how I want my hair look like that's why she did her job bad... What a lame excuse!!! I neither remember showing her photo of blue-grey-yellow hair!!! All I asked her is white highlights! If I never have highlighted my hair with other hairdressers in my life before, I would assume it's ok. But I have done it sooo many times and it's obvious to me that this lady Julia has absolutely no clue what she's doing!! Please stay faaaar away from her if you don't want to end up in the same situation!! Trimming is the most I would recommend with her. But as for me, honestly, of course I won't trust her even that after all. Now my hair not only have terrible color, but some of it fell off because apparently she had bleach on it for too long. Overcharges! I paid $40 for a regular fill/ gel polish without any designs. I'm not from the area and was desperate to get my nails done. I usually pay $25 for a routine fill (every 2 weeks). I was charged $15 extra for gel polish on 'long nails' which is absurd. Another reason for her overcharging was "the area" .. but it's in Newark and the place is not upscale at all. Let's start by saying the girl that removed my gel polish was very inexperienced, she barely knew how to use the nail tools. Then they tried to pressure me (the owner or manager Sonia) into getting a regular color on my acrylics. I've been faithfully doing gel for years. I hate regular polish because it chips. I think she thought that I would just leave the salon with wet nails (she was trying to get my out ASAP). But after I waited for an hour for my turn, I was about to get what I want. I told her that gel would be quicker to dry anyway. She went back and fourth with the nail tech who finally agreed to let me do gel. The actual nail tech Maria was good! She was really nice and I can tell she actually likes her job. She also did not do a bad job on my nails, which is why I gave them an extra star. I was also a bit annoyed because I called prior and the woman on the phone told me the nail tech was available and I told them I was coming. I also told them I was getting a fill so I thought that would of secured my spot. It only took me 10 mins to get there- I did not think I would of had an hour wait. It was also too late to go anywhere else. Although it was a one time thing because I was desperate to get my nails done, I would not go back. Best place to get your eyebrows threaded and for just $7.00!! They are always nice, and depending on what time you go you will have to wait a little, but not to much for threading. I tried the eyebrow tinting for $15.00 and made my eyebrows look amazing!! Definitely recommended! I have had my nails done here too, but a long time ago, so I think the lady that did my nails is not there anymore, nonetheless, they always do a good job, but I do agree they are a little overpriced. Be sure to pack patience to look for parking, is in Ferry St, so either look for parking in the side streets or try to find in Ferry St and pay parking meter. read more

Went in had to wait 20 min for a nail tech (Ang) to be available, got my $7 eyebrow thread in the meantime. Then got a full set (short and square) so it was on $30 which I found very reasonable. Soooooo....I have been coming here for years to get my eyebrows threaded!!!! The owner Soni is AMaZING! While she was out Sofi started doing my brows and she's pretty great too!!! There are a other ladies but I haven't sat with them...I'm pretty particular and will wait for Soni or Sofi! Ive never walked out unhappy with my brows! For my Mani/Pedi Maria or Bruny are my go to girls!!! They both take time to make sure my nails are perfect and hey never rush even when there is a line. I'm sure the other girls are ok too, but again as with my brows I'm particular and don't want to leave unhappy so I stick with what I know! It's not the fanciest of places but I recommend it because their service is great, prices are good and you will walk out happy! read more

I got a bit nervous because in my past experience, whoever is waiting is not that great, but that stereotype has changed for me, at least at this location. I unfortunately didn't get the woman's name, but I believe she was Indian or Middle Eastern (the other threaded there was Hispanic). My brows had come off of a 2 month non-grooming as a result of my studies but I was transformed by the time I left! Brows were symmetrical and matched! Very unhappy...after being in quarantine for 3 months, I was excited to get my nails, and toes done. The salon is next to a fish market and reaks with the smell of fish. My pedicure was rushed even though there was no wait. I had to ask her to scrub my feet which were obviously in need. I received a full set on my nails. As I write this (one week later) my nails are popping off. I am so embarrassed as I have 5 missing nails. I am disgusted. I paid much more than usual for inferior service. Of course it's hard to trust anyone new with your eyebrows, but I gave this place a shot because of the Yelp reviews. I walked in and there was one person on the chair and one person ahead of me. They were both done fairly quickly. I finally got to meet Ritu, who was the only one doing eyebrow threading that day. Her touch is very soft and delicate, a lot less painful than what I'm used to. For that, I'm very grateful. She was also very fast for the good job she did. It's $7 for eyebrows which is more than the $5 I'm used to, but at least I found a reliable place to get my eyebrows done. Definitely coming back! read more

I recently moved to jersey from New York and I was looking for a new eyelash tech . I didn't want to keep going back n forth from New York just for that and so I researched and found this place. Went to this place and felt comfortable immediately. The tech were very friendly and I saw a pic of the lash style I like which was thin and looked very natural . She took her time and they cane out exactly how I wanted because I hate those fake looking thick lashes. These lashes were better then any other place than I had been before ( and I've been to A few) It's now been almost 3 weeks and they are just now finally loosening up . Lashes normally start falling out In 2 weeks in some cases even 1 1/2 week . I am very happy with this place and definitely will be going back .
