Next door was this little gem of a pizza spot, they had some seating, and we ordered not expecting much. Went with a Pastrami pizza and a BBQ Chicken pizza. While it took a bit longer than expected, it was made up fresh and the five of us crushed both of these pies pretty quickly. They were both really quite good, the BBQ Chicken had nice and tangy sauce on it, and the Pastrami had pickles and mustard on it. While the Pastrami pizza seems a bit of an off combo, it was something I would happily order and eat again! The place inside is small, with just a few tables to sit out, there are really no frills. One night I was desperate for something sweet and needed to fulfill that desire. I hopped onto Yelp/Grubhub to see what I could find in the area. New Millennium pizza popped up with a brownie that sounded so appealing in the moment. I wanted it so bad that I rushed to order and have it delivered, however, started reading reviews after the fact :o. I read so many terrible reviews that I knew I had made a big mistake. My brownie showed up burnt so bad it was inedible! The worst part is that the delivery came in after they had already closed so there was no way to reach them, sadly. So I ended up wasting $6 on a brownie that went straight into the trash. In order to meet the minimum delivery charge, I also ordered a pizza with pepperoni. I ended up eating one slice and just saving the rest for another day. The pizza was average (not as terrible of an experience as the brownie). It's a small little hole in the wall kind of place but their Pizza is really good they have all different types of specials you can get you a pepperoni pizza for $6 and that's a large size they also have a special which I actually got which was the pastrami Pizza a large and it was 10 99 for take out. This place is good. I will not lie. The pastrami pizza with jalapeños is my favorite. It's my go to pizza place. But, not after today (9/6/18). I always order through yelp or my husband calls. We order from here every other week. The pastrami pizza with another topping, usually Jalapeno. This order, I ordered a pastrami pizza with jalapeños and BBQ Chicken, it arrived within 25 minutes. (Good! Especially since it's the first day of football). I get the order, our pastrami pizza is covered in mustard. (hmm... this is something new), let me call because obviously they messed up my order. I call and informed them there must have been a mistake because there is mustard on my pastrami pizza. She insists, this is how they make the pastrami pizza (with mustard and pickles (yuck!)) and is noted and if I didn't want it I should have noted in the notes. I had confirmed with her it doesn't say this on the notes (in yelp) but she insists this is how they always make their pizza. Again, I confirmed with her, I always order this pizza and I have never had mustard or pickles on this pizza. Back and forth, not getting anywhere, I just hung up. Customer service was superb, which is why the lucky 2 stars, but let me tell you I NEVER want to try a pastrami pizza again because I'm afraid it will do to my digestive system the same thing this one did. Five star pizza and three star prices. First of all I'm from NY and I know great pizza. This place rocks. We had a bacon jalapeño pineapple combo. Yeah I know it sounds gross but it was excellent And all for around $10. Then the calezone was huge and only $8.00. Also included any three toppings. Lastly we had wings which were great but small. Okay I'll start off by saying the pizza was amazing. The customer service was alright. They were polite despite the huge language barrier. But I have to say I had a horrific experience. Firstly, I had a groupon $12 for $20 worth of food. I ordered my food and presented the groupon. After the food was done, they told me the groupon wasn't working. This may not have been their fault but I had literally ordered the groupon a few hours before I had went there. I spent about 30 minutes on the line with groupon and they got me a new code and it finally worked. How did the food taste? Fantastic. The pizza was very well made. The crust was alright, nothing special. I also ordered the cheese sticks and they were incredibly disappointing. The picture advertised them as almost breadsticks with cheese inside and possibly outside. Unfortunately, what I got was basically deep fried twinkies with a mozzerella stick crammed inside. It tasted alright but certainly not great. And definitely not worth $6 Why did I review this place 1 star then? Because when I was waiting for my food, the delivery guy walked in. He picked up a pizza order and was about to head out when he DROPPED THE PIZZA ON THE GROUND. The pizza fell out of the box and was on the SUPER DIRTY TILE GROUND FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS. Then he picked it up BY HAND and put it back in and I have to assume he delivered it anyways. Why does New Millennium Pizza taste like it came from the 1990s? If anything, the entire look, feel, and taste of the joint is like what people in the 1990s imagined pizza of the new millennium would taste like. But in the end, Y2K was a bust, and even if pizza has transcended from where it was some 17 years ago, New Millennium Pizza is still partying like it's 1999. Now if I lost you completely by the opening, I'll try to put this more simply. The taste is kind of like a cross between costco and pizza hut pizzas. Certainly nothing wrong with it, but there are many a greater pizzarias out there. The sauce/cheese combo is thick and heavy like a pizza hut pizza, while simultaneously stretchy and gooey. The only drawback is that the cheese is almost TOO gooey, and ends up discombobulating on me when I try to pull a slice. The Costco comparison comes from the crust which is just most generic, yet still great quality crust you can conjure. One thing I will say for this place is that the prices are comparable to a chain like costco or pizza hut, as a large only costs around $10 give or take. This is practically unheard of for a mom and pop place, as usually they find it tough to compete with chain prices. Perhaps, this place truly is stuck in the 90s- including their pricing! So if you're feeling nostalgic for some Rugrats or Dragon Ball Z, and want some pizza that might help evoke memories of this simpler time, New Millennium Pizza might be the perfect place for you. read more
