5 stars! Kudos to the staff and management at Vinny's pizza! My family went there for lunch and ordered two pizzas. We waited 15-20 minutes for our order and was eventually notified that the oven stopped working. Our pizzas were 1/2 cooked and they couldn't sell it to us like that. They immediately issued us a full refund for our order. The staff member also packed the 1/2 baked pizzas for us to take home. The pizzas were half baked and fully safe to eat after finishing the pizzas at home. She gave us instructions on how to bake and finish the pizzas! What a great gesture! Great Service, But the Energy Shifted I stopped by Vinny's Pizza after seeing the great reviews and wanting something comforting. The food itself was decent -- the pizza was good, and the chicken-broccoli alfredo had nice flavor, though I do wish the toppings were a bit fuller, but I understand that's their set policy. The team working the floor was genuinely kind. They greeted us with smiles, kept the dining area clean, and offered great customer service. Up until the owners arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Once the owners came in, the energy shifted. They didn't acknowledge guests -- not even a simple hello or smile. Instead, there were blank stares that made the environment feel uncomfortable. I also overheard a private conversation between them and an employee right by the front counter, which really should've been handled in the back for everyone's comfort. Overall, the staff was lovely and the food was fine, but the presence and demeanor of the owners took away from the experience. I wish them well, but I don't think I'd return. read more

I stopped by over the weekend and got a slice of pepperoni pizza with some buffalo wings . I took it to go . I decided to eat across the street at the park . The food was good but I did feel like the pizza could have been sitting there a bit . I see some reviews talk about owners changing? So not sure . Maybe next time I can ask or try something else . My order was delivered to the wrong address. I spoke to the owner about a refund. He was very rude but finally agreed to credit my order. So far it has not happened. I called today to check on the status. Maria answered. She was extremely rude. Said she was busy and hung up on me twice. I see several reviews asking what has changed at Vinneys? I have been a a customer here since I started working in the area in 2019. I'm not sure if there was a change in ownership but today I was astounded when I picked up my Calzones and felt them incredibly light. I paid extra for extra toppings that I can already tell were not included as requested. I was in a rush as I stepped away from work and had no replacements for this meal in such a short amount of time else I would have demanded a refund. I'm providing pictures of the two calzones I ordered and a calzone from yelp so you can see the shrinkflation for yourself. I'm also including my receipt in hopes that you will make this right as I might not be returning. Not only do I buy for myself and family from here but my job buys us lunch every two weeks and Vinny's has always been a staple. I purchase food for over 20 employees. I love supporting mom and pop shops. But I'm a whole package kind of gal! You gotta impress me with everything! We decided to just order from here instead of going to slice and pint and little gourmet was closed. So Vinny's was our 3rd choice. I ordered online directly from their website and had a 35 mins pick up window. Luckily we came a little earlier only to find out our order was never sent to the kitchen. So in total our order took a little over an hour. The pizza is ok, I asked for well done and it was soggyish. I've definitely had way better pizza! I love pizza too btw! I'll still eat a bad pizza and that's exactly what I did. I'll give them 2 stars, my bf gave the pie a 5/10 & for the young gal who apologized for the wait but I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

Vinny's always has fantastic service and I used them a few times now for catering orders too (including recently on 4th of July weekend). The food was once again a huge hit! Especially the Tomato Cream Pasta! Unfortunately, I didn't take photos when I initially received the food, just the leftovers later on. The white pizza was definitely the most popular this time, followed by the margarita. Surprisingly BBQ Chicken Pizza had a decent bit leftover. I definitely ordered too much food, but I was so happy with the service and quality! They have a nice little cozy ambience when you're eating inside as well. 5/5 - Tomato Cream Pasta: super flavorful, definitely their most popular and best dish based on my experience. 5/5 - White Pizza: I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about this white pizza is a little different that makes it really stand out. It might be the fact that it doesn't have the same saltiness that many other white pies do. 4.5/5 - BBQ Buffalo mixed wings: A really great combination of barbecue and buffalo that makes for some fantastic wings. 4.5/5 - Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta: on its own, this pasta is great, compared to the Tomato Cream Pasta it seems far behind but that's just because the tomato cream is so amazing. Tried to go to Slice and Pint but it was crazy busy so decided to go to Vinny's. First, this is more a grab and go type place. Very limited seating. The girls taking our order were nice. We were just visiting so knew nothing of this place so while waiting on our pizza I started reading the recent reviews. They had me a little nervous but we thought the pizza was good. I haven't been here in so long that I forgot I actually have been here! I had a craving for a pastrami sandwich and a cesar salad combo, so with Yelp to the rescue for what feels like the millionth time, this place popped up. I was surprised since it's primarily a pizza joint. I was also interested in their garlic knots, so I got one of those as well. It was convenient that they had a website to pre-order my grub and with a couple of errands to do at DT El Segundo, it was incredibly convenient. I came through 10 minutes early, so it was only fair they weren't ready for my food. I got the chance to take a look at some of their delicious pizza slices and couldn't help but try a slice of their Hawaiian. So, that, along with my online orders were ready and packed up to go almost at the exact time I wanted it. GARLIC KNOTS: Freshly baked dashed with parmesan with marinara dip. It was too much so I shared it with a couple of colleagues. They enjoyed it as much as I did - so much that they pledged to stop by sometime soon. It was warm and fluffy and so delicious, what a great starter! CESAR SALAD: I requested to add kalamata olives because I love Cesar salads with anchovies, but since since anchovies weren't really an option, I figure the saltiness of the olives were a good sub. Veggies were fresh and crispy! Perfect amount of dressing. Great starter as well. HAWAIIAN PIZZA: I know, there's a divide with pizza lovers with this: do pineapples really deserve/not deserve to be in a pizza? No matter, this was delicious, but my favorite here is the thin and crispy crust! PASTRAMI SANDWICH: Sans pickles and mustard on the side, It didn't look like much, but it was exactly what I wanted. Since I filled up with a lot of them knots and the pizza slice and some salad, I decided to eat less than half. I have had better, for sure, but it decent at best. FOOD: 4.5. VALUE: 4. SERVICE: 5. The fact that my food was ready when promised even after seeing so many peeps coming in and out for dine-in and take out orders.... boom. PARKING: Private lot shared with others and street parking available. It will get packed during the lunch rush. Plan accordingly. OVERALL: 4.5. I got to look around while I waited for my food and saw that I could have gotten the exact combo I wanted for much less AND added drink. (I wish they had this option on their website!) Glad to have found this gem! We loved our white pizza, margarita pizza, and garlic knots. The pizza crust was crispy and thin, and the toppings were generously portioned. This place is a hidden gem in el segundo, tucked away in a little plaza so it's easy to miss but i'm glad I walked in during lunchtime. They have good specials here but what blew me away was how affordable everything was. Pizza by the slice was only 3$ I felt I was cheating them. I got the mushroom and sausage and the cheese pizza slices alongside a fountain drink for only 10$! what a steal. The restaurant itself is very small but there's plenty of seatings and tables. It's definitely meh. I went there for a quick slice and I got bought in with their plain slice special. They didn't have any cheese pies/slices-to be honest their display case was pretty bare and the kid behind the counter couldn't say when more would be made, and then just kind of faded out until I let him know I was ready. I ended up getting two slices that I half-heartedly picked. The slices were both just ok-I got pepperoni and mushroom and and veggie slice, nothing that really made me want to come back and with the service being what it was I won't be coming back any time soon. read more

But when I ordered yesterday, I ordered the same pizza and a pasta and they gave me everything different, the pizza on Friday looked good, very delicious, but on Sunday everything was very bland and tasted old- looked unappetizing. Conveniently on Doordash, I was expecting big things from Vinny's and it didn't live up to expectations. If you're planning on picking up your pizza, I would suggest calling directly to place your order. It'll save you a few bucks. We got a medium Vinny's Special and it was just the right size for two people. However, the pizza was lackluster. I thought back to my time in NY and the pizza there and this wasn't anything near the same. The crust was soggy and the toppings didn't hold onto the pizza at all. Personally, it was average at best.
