We were looking for a pizza spot that was open late, and this place was still serving. It's definitely more of a takeout kind of joint, and it looked like the pizza deals were better for carryout. Since we weren't from the area and were meeting my daughter after a meeting nearby, we decided to give it a try. It's also not too far from LAX. From the outside, it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall spot, but the food was surprisingly good. Inside, there was only one table available for seating, which we luckily got since most people were coming in for takeout. We ordered a turkey sandwich and a medium two-topping pizza, and both were good. The guy at the front taking orders wasn't overly friendly, but he wasn't rude either just kind of neutral and straight to the point. We found street parking nearby without too much trouble. Just a solid, friendly, budget friendly chain pizza spot. It's not the best pizza in LA but they have been great service and prices to feed groups in our family for years. I get tired of commercial chain taste after a while and this is a nice change up. Don't have high expectations for traditional Italian food but fast food pizza and sandwiches that I enjoy. Not the greatest quality photo but believe me...this pizza HIT. The Mexican with spicy beef, jalapeños, onions and pepperoni. A menagerie of flavors complementing each other nicely. "Hole in the wall" is the first thing that came to mind when entering Tumby's Pizza. Super cozy, mom and pop, no frills pizza shack in Inglewood. I'm not sure how me and my girlfriend came across Tumby's but glad we did. We ordered a greens salad with a medium Deluxe Pizza no olives and it was delicious. A little food hack/tip: order the pizza well done for a crispier cheese and crust texture. Very delicious pizza spot. It's a cold, rainy, nasty day in LA, so I wanted pizza delivery. I try to avoid big chains, so I ordered Tumby's. The pizza was...."OK". Decent crust, an underwhelming amount of toppings and cheese, and though the restaurant is less than 3 miles away, it arrived cold. Honestly no better than a big chain pizza, and worse than some. Let me start this review off by saying I didn't choose this spot because I wanted "authentic" pizza or Italian food. I chose this spot because it has above-average reviews on Grubhub, Doordash, and Yelp & because my kids wanted pizza and my kids are like other kids who enjoy spots like Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc. The food here fulfilled our cravings and satisfied our needs & the price was so much better than other competitors in the area. The lasagna was much better than the types of pasta Pizza Hut offers, especially since it came with five pieces of garlic bread. Throw some lasagna on your garlic bread & you can thank me later. The cheesy garlic bread was even better! If you receive your order hot, there's no way you can not like the bread. I didn't taste the pizza, but my kids enjoyed it. My daughter who eats cheese sticks just about everywhere says theirs were her favorite so far. If you're a fan of Jack in the Box's cheesecakes, you'll like the brand of cheesecake they have. This is a good thing. Sorry cheesecake snobs, I love me some! I believe the brand was Eli's and now I'll be craving it. The only item I didn't care for was the lemon pepper wings. That's a tough one because I like to say I make some pretty good ones and these just didn't compare. Skip the wings, order more cheesy bread. We ordered our food via Grubhub and even with our driver accidentally delivering it to the wrong hotel, then having to grab it and bring it over to our hotel, our food arrived fresh and hot. What I did like was the crust, which was crusty and chewy at the same time (as how I prefer my crust-- not really into airy crusts).
