The Village Thin Crust Pizza
Chloe N.

I came back to this pizza place after an amazing first visit experience and customer service. Their new hire, Willie, was so kind and attentive and helped me when they were closed during their equipment maintenance because I couldn't return a few hours later to order and eat my pizza. So he made me one right then with a smile on his face! The pizza he made was delicious the first time that this time when I returned, I ordered the same one (thin crust- the village) in a large size for myself (although Willie was not there). Still good customer service from staff and same fresh off the oven pizza with quality thick cut meats! New loyal customer that started from my delicious 1st pizza visit and Willie's customer service!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. The restaurant has a cozy feel with plenty of seating both inside and outside. I really enjoyed the thin crust cheese pizza. It was flavorful and well done. The deep dish was also delicious and definitely worth trying. I'd encourage anyone craving good pizza to swing by. I'm planning to try the pasta next time because it looked great.

Wanted to try this place because they offered Chicago Deep dish pizza. Ordered the Bianco (white sauce, garlic and spinach) and union salad (organic spring mix, goat cheese, sunflower seeds, sun dried tomatoes with a house made balsamic Dijon vinaigrette). Salad was delicious and dressing was very good. I've had deep dish pizza in Chicago. This pizza had a thick crust on the edges but didn't on the bottom. The toppings and sauce were delicious but was disappointed with the crust.

Delicious fresh pasta, so tasty. Good service. Nice outdoor patio seating. Good for quick easy reasonably priced meal.

Deep Dish Rush Street Deep-Dish Pizza with Thin Crust Cheese Lunch Special

One of my regular lunchtime rotations! They have a great lunch special starting around $10 that includes fountain drink. Options include 2 thin slices, a slice and salad, or a thin slice and deep dish of the day. The pizzas are tasty and fresh. Both the kitchen team and front of house are friendly and work quickly. The spot is on the small side, but the shared patio makes it easier to dine onsite with the family. There's a few additional daily pricing specials, and if you're on the email list, there's other promotions frequently mailed out. The ONLY issue I have - for which I'm not even knocking down any stars - is that the shop has no A/C. On hot days (and we've had a few that are definitely out of the LA norm) it is too hot and stuffy to sit inside. I feel bad for the team having to work with ovens when it is already that warm. Assuming this is an issue with the building itself, though I've been at Rice, two doors down, and have not had the same experience. In fairness, I don't believe Rice has ovens, as it is a Japanese restaurant. Whether the building or the business owner, someone has got to get Union Pizza a functional A/C unit! Other than that, you can't go wrong with any of their pizzas, which are so good, that I have not gotten around to trying the pasta!

My wife found Chicago pizza on the internet and ordered the Union Pie Pizza which comes with sausage, pepperoni, onion, and black olives. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We gobbled down most of the pizza. There was a bit of sweetness to the crust. This was very close to a Chicago deep dish pizza, but not as good as the ones in Chucago

We've visited Union Pizza Company in the past, once before, and it was pretty good, but this last time was definitely not the best by any means. We ordered the chicken wings and the deep dish pizza early without any cheese, knowing it would take a while to come, and unfortunately, the pizza still came with cheese. This caused us to have to wait the same time twice because at that point, we were hungry, and the chicken wings weren't super good either. The 2nd pizza with the right toppings was pretty mediocre and seemed rushed. I hoped this was better due to deep-dish pizza restaurants being limited in LA, but it was a letdown.

I forgot to grab a picture before eating a slice lol. It was okay overall. I got it to go, and I can see this being better if you ate in. The dough was a bit too hard and dense for me, and the toppings were pretty minimal. It didn't really blow me away, but I can imagine the experience improving if you sat down and ate it fresh, it'd be hella good. Service: N/A cause takeout Food/Drinks: Dense dough, minimal toppings, potentially better if you dine-in Ambiance: N/A cause takeout 6/10 Probably better fresh and eaten inside than as takeout

This is a very casual and small pizza restaurant. The menu has pasta and salad offerings as well, but we were excited to try the Chicago style deep dish pizza for the first time. The person who took our order made sure to tell us that it takes about 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready, which we appreciated to know ahead of time. We were able to walk around the Bristol Farms next door while we waited. The pizza came out hot and delicious! We loved how stringy the cheese was and the toppings tasted very fresh. The bread was crispy in all of the right places. I'm excited to go back and try the other pizza options.

Crispy delicious slices! So glad Yelp put this spot on my radar through a community event. It's located right next to Bristol Farms and pretty low-key as in very easy to miss! Definitely one of the best slices in the Southbay. Fans of establishments like D'amores will really like this and place ! Haven't had the chance to try the deep dish yet, but I think this place shines with their thin slices! Check them out!

Located in a shopping plaza anchored by Bristol Farm market, the eatery is small and can accommodate 20 people max inside, however there is an outside shared seating area with plenty of tables and chairs. We ordered Union Pie Deep Dish Pizza and Pasta with Meat Balls: FYI and Warning: the Deep Dish Pizza takes 45 minutes to prepare, thus order it in advance or you will watch a full episode of Hell's Kitchen on the store's big screen before the pizza is ready. Union Pie Deep Dish Pizza: the crust is thick, crispy and not too hard. The tomato based sauce was savory and slightly tangy. The mixture of pepper, olive, onion, and chunk of tomato with cheese and crust created a nice blend of flavors. Pasta with Meatballs: The pasta was on the soft side, the meatballs had good texture but the seasoning was light. The garlic knots were soft and delicious. Overall, the foods were good and the prices reasonable.

They serve solid, satisfying pizza with a good variety of options. I ordered a medium whole pizza with pepperoni, ham, and mushrooms, and the toppings were generous. The crust had a nice balance of crispiness and chew, though it could have been a bit more flavorful. The sauce was well-seasoned, but I would have liked a little more of it and less cheese. I also tried a meatball, onion, and pepperoni deep-dish slice, as well as a pepperoni deep-dish slice. The deep dish had a rich, hearty flavor with plenty of cheese and toppings, though the crust was slightly on the dense side. The ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was cooked well. The overall experience was good, and I'd definitely come back, but a few small improvements could make it even better.

Deep dish and New York-style under one roof? A dream come true. Union Pizza Company checks all the boxes: - Delicious mozzarella sticks with that perfect cheese pull - Crisp Caesar and chopped salads (seriously fresh) We tried the Italian Delight and The Village pizzas, both packed with flavor and cooked just right. Bonus points for the outdoor patio, family-friendly vibe, and actual parking, which is almost unheard of in LA . Whether you're team deep dish or thin crust, this spot has something for everyone. Highly recommend for a casual pizza night with friends or family.

Pepperoni pizza, yes a slice is missing. A little hungry gremlin took a slice. Hey! I dont blame her, just too darn delicious

I do wish there was a bit more of the butter chicken sauce, or a cup of it on the side I could dip into, as it didn't taste too much like butter chicken, more just like chicken and cheese, 8/10. The Sicilian was delicious as well. The big globs of ricotta were a nice touch, 9/10. I would definitely come back again for more pizza as the crust was super crunchy and the slices were huge. The food itself was decent -- the pizza was good, and the chicken-broccoli alfredo had nice flavor, though I do wish the toppings were a bit fuller, but I understand that's their set policy. The team working the floor was genuinely kind. They greeted us with smiles, kept the dining area clean, and offered great customer service. Up until the owners arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Once the owners came in, the energy shifted. They didn't acknowledge guests -- not even a simple hello or smile. Instead, there were blank stares that made the environment feel uncomfortable. I also overheard a private conversation between them and an employee right by the front counter, which really should've been handled in the back for everyone's comfort. Overall, the staff was lovely and the food was fine, but the presence and demeanor of the owners took away from the experience. I wish them well, but I don't think I'd return.

This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. This last visit has reversed everything I didn't like about the changes and it literally has returned to its previous glory. Food was absolutely amazing this run! I came with my wife and mom (her first visit) and we ordered so much. Food: Braised Short Rib Marsala - The meat melts in your mouth. There's no way to describe how tender is and how easy it is to pull a piece away with your fork one handed. The polenta and mushrooms the ribs sit on have a super inviting taste.
