One of Kind Late-Night Experience My friends and I went to Broad Ripple to enjoy hookah and all the other locations were at capacity, but we didn't want to end our night early and decided to try this place out. Have you entered into a place and wondered, "What have I got myself into." That's the feeling I got when we walked intoNew Paradise. Super chill place to go and smoke hookah. Super low key, only a few patrons there when I went to check it out. The spot is 18+ which is rare in Indy for those that are 18+. You pay $10 per person and that includes, water and the hookah which is mad dope. All places charge for a bottle water, hookah is charged separately per person and depending on how many in your party, is subject to a head charge or higher gratuity. So New Paradise Cafe got my vote for that alone. The owner played Rosco Dash ayeee lol but it was a good one of his songs lol The owner chilled out for new patrons on the patio where you can sit or inside. I am not sure what the food was like because I didn't have any. The hookah spot is in a house right by Bazbeaux's so the home was a little older. This is my favorite spot to chill! Depending on the time of day/week you go, there Always seems to be a different vibe. When I was in college I would even go to do my papers on a week might because the atmosphere was so chill! Gamal the owner is super friendly, and dedicated to providing the best customer service (not to mention AMAZING hookah!) This is probably the worst hookah lounge/ bar I went to. First off, my hookah wasn't right. It didn't come out as it should. This place is filthy and the lady that sits you is a bitch and is ate up. The window area had dead bugs laying on it. The lady makes you sit in a certain area and tells you that you can't move the seats or sit with friends. The men that work there aren't bad at all. The men were very polite and nice, but the lady will for sure in the future stop people from coming back. She is going to ruin that business! read more

When I first went into this establishment I had some reservations due to the decor, faded posters of gyros in the windows, and the menu looked as if it had been printed on a home printer. My friend and I ordered a hookah and some hummus to start. I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG! When the hummus arrived at the table it looked and tasted AMAZING~! The proprietor told us they make the hummus fresh on site. After this I ordered a lamb gyro special. For $9.25 I got a wonderful gyro, fries, soda, and baklava. The falafel was soft and fresh, the veggies were fresh, the fries were cooked to perfection and the meat melted in my mouth. After the main course I was very excited to try the baklava. It tasted as good as it looked! It was flaky, moist, and melted in my mouth. YOU have to try this place! The only things I would change is turn the music down a bit and hire a few more servers. my wife and I both love the chicken shawarma and fries and it's been amazing every time 10 out of 5 hands down it's amazing

Right off the bat the hostess was really accommodating. Informed her that we could not sit in area with strobe light as a medical condition that would cause seizures with one of the guest with us. She took us to a room with no strobe light and ensured the environment was great for us to smoke hookah. She brought us bottled water immediately, and was provided good direction on choose a flavor for the hookah. Hookah was brought out in a decent time. Waitress was wonderful to talk to, and made us feel welcomed. The hookah itself was great. You could taste the flavor. Only downside was the location listed was not the right place. But old location gave the new address, and was a short walk to the new location. No real big inconvenience, just worth mentioning. Definite recommend this hookah bar. Pleasant atmosphere and great staff. There is no alcohol, but for $10 per person it includes the hookah and complementary bottles of water can't go wrong. read more

This was actually really good! It does the traditional Lebanese-inspired cuisine quite well, like kofta, hummous, and shawarma. The real stand-out dish was the stuffed grape leaves. They were delicious. Portions were quite well-sized, and the plates came with rice, green beans in a red sauce, potatoes, and often spanikopita (also very good and light). This is one of those places I walked out the door shaking my head in dismay. As customers, we are spending hard earned money to eat out. As we entered, the dining area seemed to have a bohemian vibe, low seating, benches along the walls, very small, but that didn't deter me. Hole-in-the-wall gyro place usually screams awesomeness. The waitress was friendly and took our drink order. One of my friends asked what kind of sodas they had, and she said Pepsi products. I ordered water and the roommates ordered a couple Mountain Dews. Our drinks were served in the actual container, NOT a glass or cup. Water was still in the plastic bottle and their sodas were in cans. We just stared at our drinks in confusion. The waitress said that they didn't have a fountain machine. Understandable, but are your customers not good enough for the fine china? Guess not. I ordered a gyro, to test the goods. I don't even remember eating it. Bad sign. We also ordered a hookah, which was nice. Can't go wrong with a little hookah action. Overall, nothing climactic about the café at all really. I usually like the bohemian vibe, but this felt more creepy stoner than rustic hippie. Sad face. It seems like a cool spot, but the owner needs to step it up a few notches if they expect to stay open. The café loses points for being in the news recently - serving underage teens alcohol? This was one pretty weird place. I ended up here when the bar we were at was closing and we weren't done talking to so we needed a new location. (It was a week night and I was on vacation catching up with a friend, ok? I'm not shutting down bars on a regular basis) I can't speak for the food at all, but the atmosphere, beverage selection and service were all pretty bad. The seating was random, some chairs, some benches with cushions... I had the displeasure of sitting on what looked like a nice padded bench but ended up being basically a wood plank with a blanket on it. There were big stand up fans inside on full blast and it was still stifling hot in there. There was random loud distracting music. The waiter brought us our order and then basically disappeared. Worst hookah bar i have ever been too, there were mismatched seating, the music was horrible, someone was playing music on their laptop, then we have the regular background music, not well decorated place to welcome their guests with. I will not be returning to Paradise. I have not tried there for but after 10 minutes of getting the hookah, me and my friends just couldn't handle it anymore. Worst experience of the night, so we just wasted time and walked around Broad Ripple for the rest of the evening. read more

idk why there's so many negative reviews for this place! maybe they've changed a lot over the years? it's pretty small but we went around 6 pm so it was quiet and pretty empty. nice cozy atmosphere and they less us play our own music on the aux. the hookah tasted a little burnt and not huge smoke output but you get what you pay for. it was still good! the owner is really friendly and helpful. overall we had a pretty good time just hanging out here read more

Good hummus and fairly cheap, but no air conditioning, terrible service, rude people and music so loud you have to yell at the people at your table. Also really uncomfortable seats. I have been going here since my 18th birthday (I'm about to turn 20 so nearly two years a couple times a month). I love it. They don't have food but the owner lets you bring whatever you want in. My friends & I normally order pizza from bazbeaus which is across the street and just walk over whenever it's ready and bring it back. Owner is super sweet and is always on top of it with the coals or if the tobacco burns out. Chill hangout environment. You meet a lot of people if you're inside because everyone normally takes turns with the aux and the seating is close. In the summer you can sit outside either on the front porch or side porch. The side porch has a nice view of the canal and it's a great spot to hangout with just your friends if you're not feeling social enough to be inside. Also it's super cheap. Only $10 and if you're a regular the owner will always recognize you and say hi which is nice. He will also mix flavors for you and if you don't feel like picking he'll just whip something up and they always taste good. Great spot to go in broad ripple if you're not 21. I'm still going to come here when I am though because it's a very homey feel. Definitely would recommend it! read more

They play lots of different types of music which is nice, hookahs are awful and shisha seems no good as well, very small selection. Seating is uncomfortable and the tables seem home-made. The table almost fell over and the hookahs tipped, we caught them. But the people working proceeded to talk rudely about our group. Would not recommend. read more
