New Peking Express has been a very solid take-out option in my experience. I have only ordered take-out so far, but I've been very pleased each time. The portions are good for the price, which is something I always pay attention to, and the buffet prices also seem extremely reasonable based on the menu. Another thing that stood out to me is that the place appears very clean, which matters a lot. I have not used the restroom yet, and that can often tell you a lot about a business, so I plan to update this review once I do. I can also see why some people might be put off by the service style of one individual who may come across as mean or aggressive. Personally, I do not think that is her intention. She strikes me as an assertive woman who is simply trying to run the business swiftly and efficiently. Based on what I've seen so far, this is a place I would feel comfortable recommending if you're looking for reasonably priced Chinese food with generous portions and a clean environment. read more

Dined in on a Sunday around 1PM. It was our first visit there. Most of the food appeared to be sitting for hours. Not fresh. We were afraid to eat any of the fish due to freshness. We are used to larger buffets. The price was $15 each. The bathrooms were clean and ample parking. It was average and we probably will not be returning because of the lack of freshness. Been here many times and was excited to finally take hubby. It was awful!! We got there about 3:00 and it seemed nothing had been replenished from lunchtime and everything was dried out and gross. They have lost a customer, will never return. This was so disappointing. I usually give all places another chance but this was too bad to ever return. read more

I stopped by Peking Express hoping to find a new go to takeout place. Overall, the service is fast and friendly and I really hoped that the food would be just as good. Unfortunately, similar to a few other reviews... I found the food to be a bit bland in comparison to other Chinese takeout places within 20 minutes of this location. Their prices have also gone up just a bit from the current menus that are posted on Yelp as of January 2022, but still very much within reason for a Chinese take out place. Bottom line, if you're looking for some take out, this isn't your worst option, but if you have a bit more flexibility, you may want to look somewhere else. read more

New Peking has easily become one of my favorite Chinese spots. They nail it every time and as a pick-up customer they make it very easy to walk in and walk out in minutes. The food is delicious and piping hot every time now matter how long I let it set before pick-up. If I don't feel like eating all of it, ITS NOT A PROBLEM unlike many other places next day, new Peking is just as good as other places. Highly recommend! read more

My family and I chose this place because it had a higher star rating than the one we normally go to. We got there, only two tables were being used. We asked for a booth since I had a 3 month old in a car seat and I like to set it on the seat next to me, they told me no I could put him on our table or floor. First red flag. I went to go get my plate of food and there was next to nothing in the food bins at the buffet. 3 beef on a stick, 4 mini spring rolls, 1 scoop of of honey chicken, 2 chicken drumsticks...everything was bare minimum. Red flag #2. We read a good lot of the reviews before going and one stated that this placed had the best crab Rangoon they have ever had...which is my husband's favorite. Our crab Rangoon was ice cold. When we brought this to the waitress' attention she pointed us in the direction of a microwave and told us we can go heat up our food there!! Excuse me, what?!?! This was red flags number 3 through 87! Why would I go to a restaurant to pay for a supposed hot meal when I have to heat it up in a microwave that everyone else and their mother have access to?!? Finally, as we were leaving, i was walking back from the bathrooms with my daughter to see 2 waitresses cleaning off our table. One of them was eating the leftover food off of my plate! All while we were still there and there were other customers in the dining area. Who does that?!? Never again will I go there! Never. Couldn't even pay me to go there. We went here after driving an hour for Big Dee's Tack Store across the street and a hunger for good Chinese food. We were pleased with the cleanliness, the service and the food! My daughter had the buffet and he said everything she tasted was really great and was obsessed the the Teriyaki chicken I had the Egg Foo Young and it was very good. I would say a solid 3.5, however, we only had the buffet, and it was a little later in the evening (around 7:30pm). A lot of the items we had on the buffet were good, but there were quite a few things that were dried out and old, and were never replaced while we were there. We also had to ask for a few things, and there were a couple of trays that were supposed to have items that never did make it out while we were there. The stuff that "was good" was good enough that I would be willing to go back again earlier in the day if I am in the area again. However, for what we had this trip, I was a little disappointed with the quality of a lot of the stuff we had after an $80 price tag for two adults, two 12 year olds and a little one. Service was good, though, and they were very friendly. The place was very clean, as well. Again, I am venturing on most of our issues being the time of night, and would give an earlier trip a try. read more

I really like this place. They do not have miles of selections and piles of food. They have limited but really good selection of chicken, pork and beef items, spring rolls, Rangoon... They keep the quantity out on the lines small and replace with fresh when needed. They have a great selection of California rolls and they have a stir fry. The stir fry is in a refrigerated section that you need to add to a plate. They will come to the table and pick it up, cook it and bring it back. They have plenty of the standard deserts, but they seem to be just slightly higher quality then most buffet style places. Service is great, friendly and prompt. New Peking Express is easy to miss or to misjudge, but it is one of my favorite Chinese Buffets in the Northeast Ohio area. Located in Streetsboro in a small strip of shops it is easy to miss since it looks like just a Chinese takeout place, but actually has a reasonably priced buffet. I have only been there for lunch, but I have always enjoyed eating there. While the buffet is not as big as some others, the items that are on the buffet are all better then most people. In addition they have a couple of seafood items out at all times. If the selection on the hot line and salad bar are not sufficient there is a cooler on the wall behind the buffet that has raw items that you can choose and hand in to the kitchen for them to stir fry for you. If I am in the Streestboro area I will usually stop at New Peking, if you are in the area give them a try. read more

The restaurant seemed to be clean. The food was hot which is a plus but everything was very greasy. The crab rangoon had such a thick wrap on it that it had to be cooked to a point where you could not even bite into it. The wait staff had nothing to do so they sat and stared at us the whole time we were eating - very creepy and made us feel very uncomfortable. We arrived right around 2:35 in the afternoon. Dinner was to start about 3:30. When we were done about 3:40 we were presented with a bill for 2 dinners. We can not understand that at all because we arrive and began eating during the 'lunch' hour. Our bill for 2 lunch buffet meals plus 2 drinks came to just about $35.00 - that is not a good price and it's not the lunch price. We will NEVER go back due to greasy food and sneaky charges plus the creeps we had from the wait staff staring us down while we ate. read more

Had lunch today and the buffet was good. My boyfriend hates buffet, but he said would come here again. We loved that they did not have piles of food in containers that were old or dried out. They came by maintaining the areas and putting out fresh options. The wonton soup had good flavor and you could had more fresh wontons and scallions as you wanted. He loved the seafood options and ate most of them with even recommending them to me. The bone-in wings were excellent and the chicken spare ribs were tender too. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes buffets and those that are willing to try them. If you are not willing to have the buffet then order something straight from the menu for sit down or to go. The deserts were excellent, especially the warm Apple Pie and the refreshing Tiramisu. COLD FOOD. We were excited to try this buffet. My boyfriend and I both love crab Rangoon. Or fatal mistake was going to the buffet at 9pm. Absolutely everything, and I do mean everything (except the lo mein) was nothing but scraps. I understand they don't want to have too much extra food at the end of the night, but there was literally only lo mein left. It was a waste of money. Definitely the worst part though was how cold everything was---it wasn't hot, it wasn't even lukewarm---it was cold. Only one small section of the buffet had steam coming off of it, and i felt very uneasy about consuming the food. We actually ended up politely paying and going to the steak and shake drive through next door. I am praying we don't get food poisoning. Will never, ever go back. read more
