Egg Roll (1) / five spice chicken / broccoli beef & Chicken Teriyaki (1)
    Demauri M.

I have eaten at Sezchuan since I was born. My parents would go to this place on a regular and it's been family staple here in Tulsa. I decided to share that experience with my fiancé since she has moved to Tulsa and she agreed to give it a spin. We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken, Five Spice Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and an Egg Roll. As usual, the food was good. It seems be the best during lunch time as the rice is usually fluffier and I'd imagine the grease is much more fresh. I will come back again of course. It's such a calm experience in the restaurant itself and the service is usually fast and satisfying. AND they give you a huge cup when you want water instead of a soft drink. Most places will give you a tiny cup that requires frequent refills. Idk how old the place is but the ambiance inside is still the same as it was when I was 5 years old.

This is what's left after dinner. A large order of broccoli beef and noodles is 2 full containers of yummy food.

The food here is good. The portions are large, and it's fresh. I like the broccoli and beef. The orange chicken is also good. We drove thru because it's very small inside. Our family of 4 ordered 2 regulars and 2 larges, and we ended up with tons leftover. Like, we each have a full meal of leftovers for tomorrow, so keep that in mind when I tell you we spent over $60 on our food. We will know better for next time, but leftover Chinese food is not a bad thing.

I have been coming here for almost ten years now., several times a month in fact. The staff is so nice and friendly, they are almost like family. The food is truly the best in town. It feels like i have tried half the menu by now. All the choices are good and use fresh ingredients. The food is made to order, so it may take a little longer on busy nights, but is well worth it. The menu is vast and will take a few minutes to look over if not familiar with the choices. They do have a few tables available for indoor seating. The dining room isn't fancy, but after all we're going for the food! The drive through line is the most popular stretching to the street on busy nights. This place has my business as long as they stay open, so go give it a try and get something new!

I'm sorry, I really wanted to love this place. But Nooooo!!!! I ordered orange chicken. Super salty!!!! Tastes like Hoisin sauce, Salt, sugar, soy sauce. No orange flavor at all. Very disappointing as I've read that this place was super good. Well, it wasn't according to my taste buds. My toddler loves orange chicken and she didn't eat it at all. It came with Fried rice. It wasn't awful, just tasted like soy sauce poured on wok fried rice with oil. Dumplings weren't bad, I give them 2 stars for that part. I'm sure it will taste 100% better hot in person. Dipping sauce was delicious. Stuffing inside had a bit of an odd flavoring to it, couldn't pin point it. Cream cheese wonton. Filling is too little and wrapper is too chewy!! Okay, reason why I didn't want to give them anything higher than 2 stars..... Lady on the phone said they have no more Cream cheese wonton for the night. Told me to try their fried dumplings, it's delicious!!! So when my husband got there, he didn't know but she charged him for Cream cheese wonton and they somehow ended up in my bag and available without knowledge. He had already paid and felt the Wontons after he had walked out. Looks like there was some sort of misunderstanding. But I'm upset about that part. If I knew there were cream cheese wontons, I would've never ordered the dumplings.

This was the worst food I have ever had. The Cho Cho was tiny burnt pieces of dried meat. More like jerky. The manager is an idiot.

Located in downtown Tulsa, Kai Vietnamese Cuisine offers customers authentic Vietnamese food with a modern atmosphere. The restaurant is the only Vietnamese restaurant that offers a bar serving alcohol. The Vietnamese pho at Kai was delicious. The broth was savory and aromatic. The pho vegetables plate was bountiful. My favorite aspect of the soup was the pho noodles, just soft enough to maintain that springy texture that's so difficult to achieve. The fresh spring rolls were also excellent. Kai does not shy from giving customers jumbo size spring rolls. I also love the hot tea served at this restaurant which uses dried tea leaves. If there's a criticism with Kai, it would be the lack of variety of meats in their combination pho which only had 3 different meats, far fewer than what's standard for this dish.

I had the deluxe egg salad today, it was basically the regular sammy but with bacon. The bacon was ... meh. Thick and a bit overcooked. The sandwich itself was good tho. The location has changed since I last visited. It's on a corner spot, with outside sitting space as well as inside. it's like a real restaurant now. Before it was a small walk in with only a few patio tables outside, in and out, take it to go. Now, it's a full on experience. The staff was really nice. Eating outside was pleasant, it was cloudy, so the sun wasn't heating us up, tho there are trees around. In the evening the outside area is in the sun. It's a beautifully delicious place. The food quality was excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the most unique parts of the visit was learning that the person seated at the table next to us was the previous owner. She is still a regular customer, and her photo is proudly displayed on the wall in the restaurant. That says a lot about the history, loyalty, and character of this place. I also accidentally left my credit card behind and did not realize it until about an hour and a half later. I called the restaurant, and the management immediately helped resolve the issue. They kindly arranged to mail it to my home in Los Angeles, and I have now received it safely. That level of honesty and customer care is rare. A special thank you to the management for handling everything so professionally, and to Heather for her kindness, attentiveness, and outstanding service. Highly recommend this spot for great breakfast, quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and a team that truly cares about its customers.

Then I found Jinya Ramen. The Tonkotsu Black came out looking like a supermodel. The pork chashu was cooked so perfectly it practically melted in my mouth. The noodles had me one bite away from checking flights to Tokyo. If nostalgia had a texture, it would be those noodles. The egg? Soft boiled perfection. That beautiful jammy center deserved its own spotlight and possibly a small round of applause. I also ordered the pork gyoza, and whoever pan-fried those deserves a raise immediately. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--basically what every dumpling dreams of becoming. My only tiny complaint: you've got to season your own broth a little. But honestly, compared to some of the so-called "Japanese ramen" spots I've tried in the U.S., this place is five stars and then some. The service was fast, attentive, and genuinely caring--it felt authentic, not forced. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, spotless, and had the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a while.

It is almost as good as Japan's so I was fairly impressed. The tonkotsu ramen was good although I didn't think the bowl had enough broth. No random American fillers so love that. The chicken karaage was fine. I don't think I would get that again. The matcha tiramisu was divineeee though. Highly recommend getting that. I do wish it was slightly cheaper and closer to south tulsa. The tables could be cleaner too. Anyway, Jinya is a good spot and the vibe was on point.
