This specific location does NOT know how to value their customers. I walked feeling humiliated & targeted over something that could've have been resolved very easily & quickly. All I wanted to do was an even EXCHANGE & BUY MORE ITEMS. I walked in earlier today and one of the cashiers asked if I was doing an exchange and I said yes. She sees the sweater and gives it to her manager because she's unsure. Her manager starts repeating the same phrase louder and louder each time "it's dirty, it's dirty , it's dirty cannot sell! it's DiRTY cannot exchange!" She was making a huge deal & I just let them know from a far "I understand, it's fine, just give me back my sweater, you don't need to repeat that over and over again." Manager continues to point and say "it's dirty, it's dirty, no no" so I say again "it's fine I don't need you to give me the exchange if you don't want to." Then the young girl employee proceeds to tell me "it's because we cannot sell it like that." I'm over it at this point, she hands it to me and I walk in so uncomfortable at what just happened trying to see where it was dirty and why they were so rude. I wanted to buy more but I started walking back out and called the other store location. As I'm speaking to the other store , I have to walk back in to get my receipt unfortunately. I walk back in And no one cares, I'm walking out peacefully and the manager tries to reach for the receipt in my hand and I say "No, this is my receipt & I bought this sweater and u don't want to help me." She then says "exchange" then her employee says "just go grab another one." So here I go back inside, to size up from small to medium in the same color and style & the young girl employee asks another employee if it's the same price. I didn't say anything but I'm like really? Do y'all not take the time to learn the basic pricing and customer service to say hey I'm so sorry for the inconvenience or something to that effect. That's when I speak up and let them know it's "by the way it's not dirty, that's the STYLE" it has one solid color with spots of white and darker shades. And then not a have a good day or I apologize by any employee nor any manager on duty. They clearly have no clue what it is like to treat a loyal customer. And they lack customer service. I'm not one to complain but, they all really made me feel like crap. I had my receipt, the sweater was NEW , and it was purchased few days prior from another location. I'm extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Y'all need to do better! Plus It's easy to learn the pricing of the New star sweaters & to treat people with respect & dignity. All I wanted was to do an even exchange and purchase more items , which would have been a win win for the business. Definitely never coming back to New Star in Arleta. I'll leave a picture of the small sweater I returned for the exchange and y'all tell me where the stains are? SMH. Save your hard earned money for the businesses that really want to thrive. read more
