Love this place and Elena is by far the best lash artist I came across with. She is very detail oriented and very professional! Elena cares about her clients and ensures her work is at her very best by listening to what is being requested. I have 9 years of eyelashes extension use and tried a lot of lash studio in SF. I usually can tell if the lash tech applied excessive glue or my eyelids were being pulled heavily by tape. I never have any negative experienced or side effects with Elena. The eyelashes refill process with Elena was relaxed and comfortable, no irritation at all! What's the best was after 60 mins of Elena's magic work, my eyes look so lifted!!! My second review of this place because I'm just sooooo impressed with how long my lashes lasted me! This is what my lashes look at 5 weeks (that's over a month!!). New Sunset Lash is the only place that makes my lashes still look amazing after almost a month and a half! Inside is small but very cozy, clean, and very cutesy. They recently added a snack cart for their customers too! The ladies there Elena, Mia, and Maggie (facialist) are all the sweetest! They'll offer you blankets and make sure you feel comfortable along the way. I also recently bought a facial package with them because I fell in love with my first facial there. I've been to this lash studio three times. It's a cute and clean studio. The two lash techs there, Elena and Mia, are both very nice and skilled. I get the mega volume. My lashes don't feel heavy and the glue doesn't end up hardening on my lashes like other studios. I end up pulling my lashes off when that happens but don't try this at home kids. Please do yourself a favor and get your lashes done here next time. You will be glad that you did. read more

Like many of you, I did a lot of research and looked through a lot of yelp reviews before I decided to try a new lash tech in sf. I took a chance on Mia and am so glad I did. I called one day for a last minute appointment and they were so generous to accept me. I had read another review that mentioned how the lashes were light and comfortable and didn't irritate the eyes, so I wanted to give it a shot. When I first got there she did a mini consultation to make sure she fully understood what I wanted. I even showed her my old pair of strip lashes for inspo. The studio is nice, comfy, and super clean! Afterwards she made sure I was comfortable, before taking her time, definitely does not rush through. She really makes sure to perfect it; if there is anything you don't like you can tell her and she'll happily adjust. I've since been back about 5 times now, so I can firmly suggest you all give Mia a chance! She is so sweet and always nails the exact look I want. I wish I had read the reviews before going. When I went to my first appointment, Elena used tape that caused burning. I asked her to please stop and she put it on while I wasn't paying attention. We discussed what happened after and I had hoped it was a miscommunication. I went back (I should not have) but I did and it was worse. She was eventually able to do my lashes the first time, but acted like she forgot how to do them the second time. I begged her to take the tape off and told her I was crying in pain. Elena is one of those people who bully you and then act like the victim. She refuses to learn anything new and does not know how to tailor anything to each client. Run away. I've been to about 4-5 different lash artists in the city before finding Elena, and I can say confidently that she is the BEST. My has been my go-to lash artist for years. She is fantastic - meticulous, professional, and gentle. I really love the quality of the lashes that she uses - a common issue I've had with other studios is that their lashes are more coarse/heavy and can get irritating (especially as my natural lashes grow out). This has rarely been an issue when I get my lashes done with My. The studio is a shared space between hair-stylists and lash artists (as noted by the name). The lash studio is tucked away in the back and is cozy and clean. Prices are also reasonable by Bay Area standards (and depend on how long it's been since your last fill). My experience was horrible. I booked an appointment for lash lift. I decided to try this place because of the good reviews and the posted pictures show they do a really good job, but this not true. After about an hour, the staff let me know it was done and handed me a mirror. The result was terrible. Instead of lashes getting lifted up nicely, most were shaped like S and some of the tips of lashes were pointed right or left. It was a disaster. She then said she can fix it. I laid back for another hour, total of 2 hours laying down. After she was finished, my lashes looked even worse, they looked burned. I was so mad. I walked out looking worse. This was ridiculous! My lashes are ruined because of their incompetent job and wasted my time. Do not go to this place. I wish I can give zero star. I rarely post reviews, but this time, I have to make time for it as I do not want others to experience what I experienced. read more
