I left my dogs with Sarah Moureau at forpawsphilly.com in July 2023…read more I had originally signed up for a long weekend - three nights. I was a little dubious given the state of her house and yard, both of which were in a high state of neglect. But I was desperate for that weekend, so I dropped them off on Friday. The weekend turned rainy, so I let Sarah know on Saturday evening that I was returning early and the dogs would not be staying over on Sunday nite. I arrived home on Sunday at 11am and called to pick them up. Sarah informed me that she would be home at 3pm and I could get them then. Later, she asked for 3:15. When I arrived at 3:30 ish, she was just getting home. Obviously, she was not home most of the day Sunday to care for the dogs, which is what she was being paid for. She later sent me a bill for the whole 3 overnights amount, $300. When I called her to dispute this, she claimed that I hadn't given 24 hour notice, which I had. But she also became very argumentative. I told her she could have $300 with a review or $250 without one. She did not respond to this and a couple of weeks later, after not hearing from her, I tried to pay her through her website. The website was not working, so I sent her cash through PayPal. I added a note that I was paying this way because her website wasn't working. I still did not hear back from her so I eventually called PayPal to be sure she had received the money, which she had. A couple of weeks later, I received my AMEX bill and saw that she had already billed AMEX for the full amount. And she took the PayPay money as well. Responsible? NO. Flexible? NO Honest? NO I would never recommend this business nor this caretaker. I would worry about her house falling apart and no one being home with the dogs. And I had to block her from calling or texting me. Buyer beware.

(Walk in days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday I believe.) Here's a terrible thing NOT about this hospital but about other vet clinics in Philadelphia. Having been to quite a few the last 10 or so years I feel like it's the ONLY hospital in Philadelphia that's not an emergency pet clinic that offers walk ins. Yes sometimes the wait can be a little long but that hasn't stopped me from wanting to return. Another great thing about this office is it's extremely reasonably priced in this day and age where costs of just about everything are ridiculously high. Sad thinking veterinarians if all people can be GREEDY SOULS. Another super thing about this place it offers boarding, also at a very reasonable price. There're only a couple downsides I can think of about this hospital. If you've a car there's no parking lot. There's free street parking around the corner still not far at all from the clinic. (There's a Wendy's on that block.) The other thing I didn't care for occurred when my stray cat rescue (I'd adopted him the previous day only) was prescribed Chlorpheniramine which I found out more online is an antihistamine medication. My new 8-10 month old kitty didn't need that really. Due to that I feel Dr. Yang should've been more informative about that medicine before recommending it to me. The upside about the above is he queried me if I wanted to purchase it. I have to say I agreed but I now regret that because Joyous my cat didn't need it (Duh). I didn't research online at the time what the medication was prior to purchasing it but on that occasion why should I have to do that after meeting in person with the vet who prescribed it? That was my biggest purchase error probably during my 4-5 trips to this Animal hospital.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. AVOID AVOID AVOID…read more I have been coming here for 2 years and finally reached my last straw with them. The female rican lady who works the desk is insanely rude. The woman talks to me as if I were some hood rat from the street. No, I am not uneducated. No, I was not rude. Yet, whenever I had a legitimate question about my cat, she looked annoyed to even give me answers. The clerks I have zero problems with and are very understanding and friendly. My other problem is with Dr. Yang. This guy should not be a vet. He is not clear with his assessment and I sometimes have problems with what he is saying. I understand that there is a language barrier and I do my best to be as understanding about it as possible. Here are but a few incidents with him that drove me to finally stop coming to this place: First day coming here, Dr. Yang tells me that my cat needs medicine. Sure, no problem. Money isn't a problem but it is pricey. I buy the medicine and give it to my cat until I run out. A few days later, problems start to show again. I call the vet and ask what the problem is and Dr. Yang tells me that it's because I didn't continue giving him medicine. I tell him that I ran out and he says in a rude manner, "Yeah, because you were supposed to refill it." I'm honestly offended because the way he worded it made me feel like he thought I was an idiot. He NEVER explained to me that I had to come back for a refill or anything during my visit. Anyway, so I go there again with my cat and he makes me pay for the appointment and the refill (mind you, money isn't the issue but it's not cheap). It's annoying that he makes me pay an appointment fee even when he barely does anything (basically put that stethoscope to the cat and weighs him). I then ask him, "How long will my cat be on the medicine?" He literally gives me a smirk as if he thought I was joking and says, "for the rest of the cats life." He's so rude, it's incredible how he still has a job. I don't know why I even continued seeing this jerk for the past 2 years. My final straw was when I went to pick up my cat's medicines and basically yells at me that I couldn't take the pills. I kid you not, the guy raised his voice at me because, apparently, he was offended that I went to another vet to get my shots and not there. Therefore, he refuses to give me my cat's prescription pills. He wouldn't even give me my cat's records or a referral to continue the medicine. I'm not even sure that's legal. Anyway, I'm warning you all. AVOID THIS ASS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Don't give him your business. I hope he gets canceled. Both him and the rican lady who works there. They are so disrespectful it's insane they are still in business.

Angel Pet Sitting Yelp Review 21 July 2021…read more No response. We contacted Angel Pet Sitting seeking service for an anticipated death in our family almost a month ago, but we received no response whatsoever. It's hard to review a service which does not bother to respond to messages letting them know that you are in need of their services, but failure to even bother to return messages bodes poorly for a satisfactory customer experience. You need someone reliable to entrust the life and welfare of an animal who is a part of your family. As you can see, Angel Pet Sitting did manage to quickly reply herein to this review with more or less a standard "form letter" response while also including a plug for itself and suggesting that the fault lay with the consumer for having not thoroughly checked all email locations (such as spam folders) for their response. When, in fact, we had already done. We'll give them the benefit of the doubt and suggest they do the same because over a month later, other than its reply to this review, our inquiry still remains unanswered.

I've used Angel Pet Sitting for a few years now. In total I've spent WELL over $1000 with them…read moreover time. My regular dog sitter is fine, get's along well with the dog and cat and is reliable. The issues come with the ownership of the company and how they treat their clients as well as their lack of services. They do not have an emergency number. You cannot call them or reach them on the weekend. If you reach out directly to your pet sitter (because, for example your flight is late/delayed/cancelled and won't be home in time), you will get a nasty email from the owner of the company. This wouldn't bother me as much if I hadn't been a loyal customer for a few years. This happened more than once too. They also have a nasty habit of up-charging you for anything and everything. You need to make appointments (on their TERRIBLE and confusing website) at least 48 hours in advance... or they charge you a huge emergency fee. I wouldn't mind some of this if their fees were lower but if you're paying a premium price you expect a premium service. Life isn't always so predictable and there are better companies to deal with. I've found them.
