Center by Dr. Gladsden at 1640 Dual Highway, Hagerstown, MD. Dr. Gladsden is a very friendly man who explained most of what the Laser Surgery would entail and what to expect after the surgery. What was left out of the explanation was: 1) How dry my eyes would be and that I would have to use expensive Eye drops for the rest of my life to counteract the dryness, 2) That my vision up close and mid-range (to read my laptop) would now require reading glasses. So, I was basically trading off having to use glasses to see at distance; to having to use glasses for up close reading and mid-range reading. In all the procedure was painless although expensive, I saved for two years for this procedure. If you were to ask me if I would do it again? The answer would be no; due to the lifelong side effects of the poor up close vision and having to use expensive eye drops several times a day. I received a Lasik treatment at another office 6 months ago and I wasn't happy with the results. I came into New Vision Laser Center Hagerstown to get a second opinion on whether or not to proceed with a touch up 6 months post op and Dr. Gardner was VERY informative. I wish I had used this office for my original procedure as I feel they may have corrected my vision on the first try. Dr. Gladsden and his staff are AMAZING. They made my procedure so comfortable. The office is extremely clean and right when you walk in it is so welcoming. Getting lasik is a scary experience. It's your eyes... yikes! But, getting it done there is a walk in the park. They make you feel so at ease, and talk you through the entire experience. Had ComfortView surgery yesterday. ComfortView fixes both reading and far-sightedness. Today I'm 20/20 and can read without glasses at a 6-point font size. At 47, I wish I had done it sooner! There was absolutely no pain or discomfort during the procedure. I had the PRK procedure last year. My vision was -12.5 in both eyes. Everything was a blur before my surgery. I had been dependent on contacts and glasses for the majority of my life. Just got suregery yesterday, itnwas the best thingnI have ever done for my eyes! The staff and Dr are amazing! They were so helpful and kind in every step of this process. I had been thinking about the surgery for many years and finally took the atep, I am more than happy that I chose This facility. I have a degerative eye disease, but still was able to get a surgery called PRK. The surgery itself was quick and painless, and the results are life changing! I highly recomend getting it done here. I cant say enough about the staff and how amazing they are! They truely care about the patients and what they do. They made sure I was comfortable and talked me through everything to help calm my nerves. They even gave me a teddy bear to hold onto during the procedure.
