He was very helpful in guiding me to the best choice for me. I will never buy fishing gear or tackle online ever again. We go downstairs and show that cashier the glove (brand new, just bought for christmas) and that guy did not know how to do the steaming services, which was also fine because he asked another staff member who helped us, HOWEVER, the first guy told us the cost of it (which there is no cost because after a certain price glove it is a free service). The second guy (bless him) corrected him and stated the price of the glove and why it's free. As the worker was breaking in the glove the other guy cashier asked him multiple questions about where things were, if they did certain services, if he could help this other guest. Honestly that cashier guy was doing NOTHING. This is all in the midst of our guy fitting the glove which consists of steaming and banging it with a mallet which could be dangerous! Just seemed like an unprofessional thing to do. On my recent visit (this past Saturday), my husband and I, along with our little girl dog, were greeted by several employees and asked if our little girl would like a dog treat (unfortunately because of her sensitive stomach, we had to declined but I appreciate the gesture). We ended up purchasing a few items for our dog at 50% off, which was nice. But didn't see any clothing that I was interested in, or my husband. It is too bad that this location is closing. There really aren't that many Orvis retail stores but plenty of authorized sellers of this company.
