So delicious! I had the Thai chicken wrap and loved it. The wrap was tender and ever-so-slightly crisp, as though it had been kissed by a skillet before being assembled. The flavors were really delicious and I wished I had room to eat more than half the generous portion. Next time I might add a bit of hot sauce (personal preference) but it was still good without. This place has lost a customer forever. Ordered my usual beef burrito; when my wife came home what I got was a loose pile of ground beef and lettuce in a take out box. Ok, mixups happen but who servers a burrito with no tortilla?! The worst part of this is that after I drove back to the restaurant and showed them, the guy dug his hand into the box and said here, there's beef in there. I had to specifically insist on a tortilla. BTW the menu clearly describes their burrito in a tortilla wrap. I got no explanation no apology, just a hastily made cold burrito tossed on the counter. On a long drive up into Canada, I was looking for a cheap place to stop and get good food. This was pretty much the only thing that showed up on Yelp. We all got burritos except our youngest, who was too picky. Everything we got was good and cooked to order, and you could tell the food ingredients were high quality. Pro tips: -Park around behind the building and use the entrance at the back which is right at the parking area -You order at the counter and then take the food and sit wherever you want. The Chicken Vera Cruz narrowly won out over the Chicken Club on my lunch today. A couple at the next table had split the un-wrapped Thai Chicken over jasmine rice. They raved about it. We got a curry Thai burrito which I was skeptical about since I wasn't sure how that combination would be but it was one of the most delicious burrito I have had! New World is one of my favorite places to get a quick bite to eat. It's fast, tasty, and relatively inexpensive. You can find cheaper food in Burlington, but usually not as good. I personally recommend the Chicken Club and the BBQ (weekly special). I would have given them five stars but they only take cash and I never carry any on me. Staff here has always been rather surly, no big deal since the food was pretty good. But over the last 7 years or so, the food quality has gown steadily down hill along with the service. The staff seems to just choose when they are open or not, regardless of the hours posted on Google or their Facebook page. I've often called after 6pm and just had nobody pick up when they're supposed to be open til 7 (and I'm talking 6:25, not 6:50), or had someone ask me to hold only to never come back to the call. Terrible service and declining food quality have really turned me off of what was once one of my favorite spots in Burlington. Management needs to get their stuff together; their staff is not doing them any favors. read more

I used to live near the original location of New World when it was in Essex Jct and ate there a lot in high school. The pine street location is much larger, but they haven't changed the menu much and the tortillas, if anything, have gotten better. If you like wraps, these are pretty tasty and excellent value. The freshness of the ingredients sang in each bite, and the shear size of the burritos was enough to cover me for both lunch and dinner. More than ten years later, and this place is still making out-of-this-world, delicious food. The Thai chicken peanut burrito is a marvel - so unique and unbelievably tasty, especially with that house-made hot sauce. Grab one of those and a beer, and you're set for the night. ADDICTION!!! I moved away years ago - but whenever I'm in town, this is the FIRST stop. Thai Chicken Wrap is a foodgasm. I get my protein, i get some veggies, i get a wicked good wrap. Remembered back in college how amazing this was. Went back to VT this summer, still the same - consistent. I ate there everyday. I will recommend eating it there - the wrap is the right texture when you eat it on the spot. If you take it with you - you're gambling that the wrap will get a little soft.
