Couldn't wait till I got home. CONFIRMED!! - pork banh mi sandwich at Cafe de Croissants in Sebastopol is AWESOME!!!

I've been going to this place for about 5 years now. The main reason was they pan fry egg dishes, it's the only way I'll eat eggs. HOLD THE PHONE!!!! THEY CHANGED THE MENU!!! It's been a few months since I have been there. I dropped in and was intrigued by the new expanded menu! The pork banh mi sandwich is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! My first one was on Wednesday and was blown away how good it was. I was stuck at work yesterday (Friday) and couldn't make it before close, ugh! So it's Saturday now, I was in Rohnert Park and was about to get something to eat. But remembered I had a craving for the pork banh mi sandwich. So I drove to Sebastopol and got one! I was going to drive home but my desire to confirm it's deliciousness took over! So I ate half in the parking lot! Yup, you guessed it! It was EVEN BETTER this time! HA! I'm thinking of getting another before close of day! LOL. Really folks, it's that good! For sure a keeper! PS. The new expanded menu is HUGE. Lot's of new choices. I can't speak for the new editions. But this sandwich is a good sign of the direction they are headed in!

Cals Cal's Mombo Combo Sandwich

Sebastopol is lacking good deli sandwiches and cafe des croissants one ups the best deli sandwich but made with the best croissants. Cals mombo combo is my go to with turkey bacon avocado and all the fixings. So good!

Great place for breakfast and lunch. You can call and order ahead of time to pick up at the drive through window. They do accept Apple Pay. Food is great and staff are always so friendly. Pricing is reasonable.

the one side of the sandwich that had all the cheese I pulled some out too but it's basically 90% cheese and 10% tuna.

Please update your doordash menu/customization options! I really liked this place for awhile but ordering via doordash has become somewhat inconsistent as most menu items don't list EXACTLY what comes with sandwiches or how they're served. I ordered what I thought was a cold tuna sandwich today and it came grilled with cheese on it (doesn't say it comes with cheese or gives you an option to remove the cheese on the app). Luckily all of the cheese was only on half of the sandwich, I actually thought it was a grilled cheese when I opened it. I'm sensitive to cheese so I can't really eat that side unless I want to suffer later lol. Still disappointing though because it was $12 (I got a yerba mate as well) before taxes + delivery and I recieved a slightly warm soggy sandwich that has waaaay to much cheese on one side. Bummer. I really used to love this place. I'm sure it's different if you go in person but from what I've recieved the last few times via doordash, it just isn't worth it for people who use that app for the convience of it.

First time and it was delicious Highly recommended to try the pesto panini right next to the Solful which is freaking awesome for breakfast lovers

The avocado was begrudgingly added. Can you see the grease ring?

Most places were busy in town so I thought we'd stop in here since it had changed hands recently. They were out of tomatoes! This is disaster for a sandwich place. My mother's sandwich was cut in half and had a nice set of ingredients sans Tomato. I ordered the turkey cheese pesto with veggies. Since I eat a plant based diet I asked that to leave off the cheese and turkey and up the veggies. I asked after I saw what I was served for $7, for avocado on it. Begrudgingly the 18 year old in the kitchen scooped out what you see on this plate. When I got it back to my table I looked at the plate and it was ringed in grease! I took it back disgusted and asked for my money back. Oh, the sign says sour cream in your burrito is an additional $0.75 !Enter this place with caution.

You have to check in with the receptionist, pay in advance, and obtain lunch tickets. As we entered the café on this Thursday, we noticed the place was nearly full. There was a lady dining by herself and the servers asked her if she wouldn't mind some company. She ended up being the sweetest lady and we had a wonderful time chatting with her throughout our lunch. They offer two main entrees each week plus there is also the option of getting a large soup and salad if you want to skip the main entrée. We ordered: Fried chicken sandwich and the mushroom shepherd's pie. We had a choice of soup or salad and a drink. Their lunches have always been outstanding. The chicken sandwich had a coleslaw-like mixture on top of the chicken and it all came on a brioche bun. The meat was not dry at all. My shepherd's pie was amazing. Lots of lentils and mushroom with a parmesan mashed potato topping. Totally awesome meals. The servers are incredibly sweet and they refill drinks and take away your dishes as you finish. Even though the room was filled with diners, the volunteer servers make you feel like they are there for you and only you. Thank you! Lunch is served 11:30-1:30. $10 for members/$12 for non-members. Brunch is served on Fridays at the same time. Menu changes weekly.

It's got bar seating too! There's also some board games if you want something to play with friends over drinks. Ordered a 12oz matcha latte with almond milk ($7) and opted to have it unsweetened. Overall smooth but not too strong, and a tiny bit sweet probably from whatever almond milk they use! I like mine a bit stronger and it's not the best I've had but decent! "For here" mugs are always a plus in my book too. Brew is unique that it doubles as a cozy bar too once the late afternoon rolls around. They've got interesting events happening throughout the month posted on their sign. Some of their food and pastries are sourced from local Red Bird Bakery and Village Bakery too if you're hungry! Parking might suck, you could find street parking maybe on 8th St or if you're early you could park by the meters for free before 9AM. There's a $1/hr parking garage right nearby but if there's nothing, best to park at SR Plaza for free and make the 5min walk over. I really like the vibes of Brew and wanna come back for a happy hour one day! It's nice to see a very queer friendly cafe/bar rolled into one!

We very much enjoyed slowing down for a moment while enjoying our breakfast burrios and mochas. I love having my coffee in an actual mug when I'm staying at a cafe for a bit. It's just a nice cozy touch. The breakfast burritos were good but they could be mixed a little better. It was very sectioned by egg, cheese, potato and bacon. Like each bite only had one. If you value fancy things and mediocre food, this place is not your place. So this place is kind of close to downtown, near the hockey rink, in an old industrial building. It is the very definition of what I would call a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. When I walked in, I was incredibly impressed by the amount of beautiful and delicious-looking food in their case! I quickly studied the menu and decided on the bacon bowl. It had eggs, green chili salsa, home-fried potatoes, seasonal veggies, all served on a bed of lettuce. The flavors were outstanding. Not only was it a good-sized breakfast, but the flavors were just delicious. The veggies were perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. The egg and potatoes were nice, and the overall flavor was just wonderful. I liked this place so much that I ended up coming back on day two of my trip just to eat here again with a friend! The people were absolutely incredible at this location! Each day I had a wonderful conversation and honestly just felt so included and acknowledged.
