When I went there, she said "you made me remove the ice that's why this is like this, and I can't give people like you free shit" I was honestly just shocked and a little bit drunk from the place we went before so I couldn't process it, looking at my shocked face she goes "I can make you another drink but you'll have to pay for it" I say yes do that please. She shows me quantity mocking me, "this is what is used and the amount of quantity I'm not gonna do this again so I'm showing you" I still say thank you When she comes back with the new drink, i was about to take it and then go back to our seat where my husband is and get money to pay her, returning her my old drink, she goes "nah I'm not giving it to you until you pay it" since I'm tipsy I say please keep my drink too I'll give you the money, while I'm giving her back the drink she doesn't hold the glass and it tips off and falls and she makes a nasty face I say sorry and proceed to get the money from my husband. By then husband saw me at the waiting at the bar too long and was heading towards me to help me out. When he comes I tell him to give me money and he gives it to me, again at the bar we're trying to catch her attention, she comes back are you paying for the drink? I say yes with the 20$ in my hand reaching out to give it to her, and asked the drink you spilled I already paid for that, are you gonna give me that back? She proceeds to not give the new drink I say can I have my drink back, she screams I'm not serving you lady, get off! I was still calm and didn't say anything cuz I was tipsy, my husband right next to me while this happened. (He was confused as he didn't know what happened in the first half of the conversation as he wasn't there) We were absolutely shocked and ended up leaving, I ended up crying the whole night. Waited for the alcohol to wear off to understand what I've truly been through. Saw the timings of the bar so we could go and talk to the manager/owner about it, I called the number present in google, waited for someone to pick up, the cleaner picked up after I called multiple times, it opens at 3pm on Sunday we would've left Buffalo by then to start for home, so we went at 1pm to see if anyone was there, same cleaner. Left him our numbers, he said he will let his manager know but didn't help (as apparently he didn't know anything else, didn't even know the name of the tall female bartender, who was so ugly to me) Since then I've emailed, called, there has been no response. I'd not have posted this had there been any response since then. I've been affected by this humiliation horribly, my mental health got messed up cuz I'm still questioning as to how can someone behave like this with me, what did I do wrong, because surely the color of my skin cannot be the only reason you hate me, we were celebrating 6 months of our marriage, seeing Niagara Falls was so immensely beautiful, but this experience changed my whole perspective about human behavior, all I can say is Please donot spend your hard earned money there that is my only request. My very first visit to Green Buffalo Pub, and unfortunately, it will also be my last…read more I live approximately two minutes away from Green Buffalo Pub, and this was actually my very first time going there. My neighbor who lives across the street had told me what an amazing bar it was and specifically raved about how good the wings were. She also met her husband there and told me since I was single, I should go check it out!! I decided to take her recommendation and finally give it a try. I was genuinely excited to try the Loganberry wings. I even recorded a video during my walk there. I was recording to make what I thought would be a great review. During my 2 minute walk to the bar I was talking about how excited I was to try the wings. I walked in expecting to have a good experience and hopefully find a new local place that I would enjoy coming back to. Everything went downhill the second I walked through the door. I was accompanied by my service dog, who was wearing her service vest and is licensed in Lancaster, NY. She was sitting quietly and safely in her stroller. She was completely under control and well behaved. She does and did not bark, bother anyone, damage anything, or cause any disruption. There is a specific reason she was in her stroller. She is trained to assist me. She provides calming assistance by laying on me and licking my hand or face to help ground and calm me. Having her positioned higher in her stroller allows her to perform these tasks more effectively when I need her assistance. She was right beside me, in a controlled environment, and was not causing a problem. The employee I spoke with, Jamie, who I have since learned is the new owner of Green Buffalo Pub, repeatedly told me, "She's a pet. She's a pet," while laughing after I explained that my dog was a service dog. I explained again that she was a service dog multiple times, yet Jamie continued to dismiss what I was telling her and laughed at me. She then demanded that I provide paperwork proving that my dog was a service dog. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, businesses cannot demand service animal certification, registration, licensing papers, or other documentation as a condition of entry. When it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal, staff are generally limited to two questions regarding whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. My dog was not barking, aggressive, disruptive, damaging property, or having an accident. She was calm, controlled, and doing exactly what I needed her to do. And I have video documenting what happened. I have the video from my walk to the establishment, where I am genuinely excited and talking about trying their wings, as well as video from the interaction after I began recording when I was being denied access with my service dog. The contrast between those two videos speaks for itself. What should have been a quick trip to try some wings based on a neighbor's recommendation ended with me crying and bawling my eyes out the entire way home. I live two minutes away. I came there as a first time customer with every intention of making a great review of the food and potentially becoming a regular customer. Instead, I was laughed at, humiliated, and made to feel like I was doing something wrong simply because I needed my service dog with me. This was not about getting special treatment. It was about being treated with basic dignity, respect, and equal access. I am filing formal complaints with the appropriate agencies and preserving the video and documentation I have regarding this incident. I will never spend a dollar at Green Buffalo Pub, and I will not recommend this establishment to anyone. Jamie, as the new owner, I sincerely hope you take this seriously and educate yourself and your staff about the rights of people with disabilities and service animals. No one should have to walk into a neighborhood business excited to try the food and leave in tears because they were laughed at and denied access with their service dog. I walked in excited to try your Loganberry wings. I walked out without ever getting the chance to order them, and I walked home crying. That is an experience I will never forget! I go out of my way to write good reviews all the time for people to help them get raises and to help their business get more customers and this was just honestly a huge disappointment. I had heard great things about the steak flatbread - steak, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and fresh spring greens. The flatbread arrived and was cut into these little triangles and was stacked on top of eachother and the spring greens seemed like they were cooked on the pizza instead of sprinkled on after. This made the flatbread taste kind of swampy and completely negated the delicious onion and flat cheese combo going on. If you got a bite without the spring greens it was tasty. The chips and dip were the one thing I had no issues with. The chips were thick and homemade and the dip was creamy, oniony, and delicious! I ordered four chicken finger dinners and 40 wings--I was about to order extra fries, but the lady on the phone stopped me and told me the dinners each came with easily enough fries for two people. Not many places will undersell a customer like that, and I really appreciated it, since traveling long distance with leftovers can be a pain. I walked in to pick up the order, and it was like I was back home again. Great atmosphere, friendly people, good music, and the food smelled amazing. We got it back to our hotel, checked in, unloaded, and sat down to eat. Everything was still piping hot. I strongly recommend the Honey Sriracha--it's addictive. It was my first time trying Chiavetta's sauce, too, and it was also excellent. Their house Buffalo sauce was some of the best I've had anywhere.
