The Giants' 1st Super Bowl championship was won in 1987. Super Bowl XXI. Phil Simms.
    Daniel B.

My five-star Yelp rating for the New York Football Giants is objective. Among the NFL's current 32 teams, the Giants are one of only six to have won four or more Super Bowls. The Giants are also one of only two teams to have played in the Super Bowl more than twice and have a winning percentage of .800 or better (the Green Bay Packers are the other team). That's what you call championship consistency. At the time of writing this review, the Giants aren't in the league's top 10 in terms of regular season win percentage. The Packers, Dallas Cowboys, and New England Patriots are 1-2-3 there. So, the Giants aren't among the NFL's greatest regular season teams. However, in the end, it's championships that matter and the Giants are elite in that category. The Giants' Super Bowl wins came in two distinct eras: (1) the Bill Parcells and Lawrence Taylor era and (2) the Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning era. Parcells led the Giants to the Super Bowl XXI and XXV championships. Those happened in 1987 (1986 season) and 1991 (1990 season), respectively. Hall-of-fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was on both of those teams as were other lesser-known players like tight end Mark Bavaro (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6smYbUX89E) and fullback Maurice Carthon. Phil Simms was the starting QB of the '87 team and Jeff Hostetler was the starting QB of the '91 team. Both Simms and Hostetler were drafted by the Giants. Simms was the 7th pick in 1979 and Hostetler was the 59th pick in 1984. Both were on the '87 and '91 championship teams. Simms is the more well-known of the two, in part because of his work on TV. He was the MVP of Super Bowl XXI. Running back Ottis Anderson was the MVP of Super Bowl XXV. Anderson was also on the team that won Super Bowl XXI, but he'd just been traded from the St Louis Cardinals to the Giants earlier that season and wasn't the starting/primary running back. Joe Morris was. Of course, Lawrence Taylor became one of the all-time greatest NFL players. Perhaps the best defensive player ever. He was drafted by the Giants with the 2nd pick in 1981. He played college football at North Carolina. He retired in 1994 - the '93 season was his last. LT would then go on to defeat Bam Bam Bigelow at WWF WrestleMania XI in 1995. Haha. Coughlin's Giants teams were led by Eli Manning. Together, they brought two more championships to New York: Super Bowl XLII in 2008 (2007 season) and Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 (2011 season). Both victories were over Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots' dynasty. The Giants entered both games as underdogs, especially in 2008 when the Pats were favored by 12 points. What was amazing about the 07-08 Giants is they became the first NFC Wild Card team to win the Super Bowl. They had only a 10-6 regular season record. The Patriots, meanwhile, had gone a perfect 18-0 before suffering their first loss to the Giants in the Super Bowl. "18 wins, one Giant loss." Manning had almost completely different casts surrounding him in 2008 and 2012, especially at the skill positions. He was Super Bowl MVP both times. Every championship team is special, but the 2007-08 Giants stuck out to me for a couple reasons: (1) It was hall-of-famer Michael Strahan's last season. He closed out his NFL playing career as a champion. (2) The Giants had three players from my alma mater, Georgia Tech: strong safety James Butler, tight end Michael Matthews, and linebacker Gerris Wilkinson. Both Butler and Matthews started in the Super Bowl. Butler and Strahan teamed up to make a key tackle. Matthews started alongside fellow TE Kevin Boss in a double tight end formation. Wilkinson was a backup and made one tackle. Go Jackets! I leave this review with what has become perhaps the most memorable play in Giants history, the 2008 Super Bowl "Helmet Catch" by David Tyree: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vKDygyOxH0. It even has its own in-depth Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmet_Catch.

New York Giants. Go Big Blue Yelp Challenge 45/100 Aww man the Championship game vs. My 49ers still kills me to this day. The two infamous fumbles by No #10 Kyle Williams. Man that foo FML. Like him or hate him Eli Manning has a two Super Bowl wins. Eli's the QB that Tom Brady doesn't want to see in the Super Bowl. I might be committing sacrilege, but I like Manning over Phil Simms. Jeff Hostetler had his day in Glory when he beat the Bills. I do feel sorry for the Bills, during the early 90's. When I was a kid growing up, I liked seeing L.T #56 Lawrence Taylor. Running around sacking QB'S left and right. I wish Tiki Barber didn't retire so young, I felt he could have played a couple more years. I remember Plaxico Burress shooting himself and I was like "really" lol. What's been good for Manning he's had some WR'S make some damn good catches over the years. The Maro Manningham and David Tyree catches, damn. One WR stood out last year, Odell Beckham Jr, that rookie tore shit up last year. With a healthy Victor Cruz this coming year. Eli doesn't have any excuses at all. I think Ruben Randle did a pretty good job last year to. Well anyways Coach Tom Coughlin, seems likes he's always on the hot seat. You count the Giants out and he pumps that team up and they start wining. Well good luck on your guys draft. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Always, Enjoying the simple things in life.

Season ticket holder here,... for the Giants. Section 121, love my little corner of this facility. I live in Florida so I can only go when I get back home but someone is always warming those seats when I'm elsewhere. I really do love coming to the games here, it's a reunion for me with all my crazy friends that I grew up with. It's starts about 4 hours before game time with cold beer, BBQ, munchies, trash talking, laughing, tossing the pigskin between cars, people watching, fantasy football talk, and playoff possibilities. The weather here in the swamps of Jersey is like a night in AC, a crap shoot. If you don't like it wait a few minutes, it'll change. Giant fans: A little tamer than the brethren that they share this stadium with and a Big Blue family coaxing our team to victory! Tough bunch too, screw up and you'll get called out immediately, yep that Jersey tude I grew so accustomed to! Parking: not so bad considering you're getting over 80,000 fans in and out of one of the most congested areas in the country, now if that Xanadu mall ever goes up next door that might change, but for now the Meadowlands does a great job. Food: The Yelp portion of this jibber jabber :-) Do yourself a favor, eat while you're tailgating, and the reason I knocked a star off. Forget the prices they stink at every stadium. The food here just stinks,... flavorless standard fare served cold when it should be hot, mostly undercooked and the beer matches the temperature outside, which is not good in early September. The Super Bowl is here this year and the facility won't disappoint.... but the weather on a Sunday night in February might be a little Spartan, or just down right freaking cold! The New York Giants, playing in Jersey for 30 some years. The team: Well, until we're mathematically eliminated... GO BIG BLUE!!!

The greatest franchise in all of sports, The New York Giants have been around more the 80 seasons (Sorry Jets fans)! They were founded in 1925 by Tim Mara (For all who didn't know) with 4 championship before the creation of the NFL; So technically they have 8 championships, but who's counting. I started loving the Giants young, when my gym teacher use to call me Lawrence Taylor, because he felt I looked like him. I thought "who is that?" After looking him up (this was before google it took time) I read a story about him destroying Joe Theismann's career (sorry Redskin fans). So I thought this man was powerful and strong! The team that picked him up must be the same. That's when my love started. Ironically now everyone calls me Michael Strahan because they say I look like him and he is my favorite Giant, go figure. Being a Giants fan is great, some people hate the new stadium, but I find it beautiful. Football is played in the trenches! New York football is not pretty that's why there's no roof! We get it done in rain or snow so stop complaining about a missing roof. Go be a Saints fan if a roof matters! Finally I respect our QB in New York. Eli Manning conducts himself like a true gentleman. A real representative of the quality of a sports athletes. Players need to understand weather they like it or not kids look up to them, like I did "LT" all those years ago. Number 10 will always be my QB, even with our bad season last year. Under Ben Mcadoo, our new coach and the new drafts picks of 2016, Eli Apple, Sterling Shepard, plus our free agents like Oliver Vernon, Damon Harrison and Keenan Robinson we are poised for a great season. I don't know why there is so much success in Fantasy Football. I love my team and not just the players! I can't think of Tom Brady over Eli Manning no matter what! I live and breath "Blue" I hope everyone that shows up at the stadium this season remembers that! Go Big Blue!

Today I made arrangements with my teammates to go to the batting cages. Only four of us were available for practice and going to a field would have been kind of useless. So I went on Yelp and began to look up nearby locations and this is the first place that popped up. Took a moment to look at their rates and was pretty impressed with what I found. Great place to keep in mind if I ever have a kid because the staff is full of professionals with prior baseball and softball experience. Early this morning i made a reservation and I took a deal today which was $50 for one hour. With the $50, you get one lane and can have up to six people with you. Once inside I went to the register in the front. Payment was easy and the man helping us was extremely nice. Everything was all set up for us when we arrived. The guy at the register was more than happy to also adjust the machine to our needs whenever we needed it. I liked this as opposed to a regular batting cage because you have the ability to adjust the pitch. In total, there are four lanes inside the facility. For an hour the four of us were able to take more than enough swings (it wound up being only $12 a person). I was kind of disappointed we didn't bring gloves because we could have even thrown around a little bit! Next time! The one thing I would like to point out is that facility is not for individual use while batting. You need someone with you to feed the pitches to you. All and all, I consider this place a homerun! I will be more than happy to return in the future!

Wristband required, because apparently boarding a train is now a VIP experience. Buses? Gone, sold out faster than the merch table, good luck. Rideshare? Sure, if your driver enjoys sitting in the same traffic jam as everyone's Honda Civic, because there's exactly one road out and 80,000 of your closest friends are on it too. And don't even think about walking somewhere -- there is no "somewhere." No town, no train station you can stroll to, nothing. Your only pedestrian option is the American Dream Mall, which, despite sounding like an escape route, is actually just a much larger place to also be stuck. Basically you're not leaving a stadium, you're being evacuated from an island, and the ferry (bus) already left. 10/10 show, 2/10 exit strategy.
