Except of course seeing my team WIN the World Series in their new stadium, Citi Field. That would absolutely top the feeling from 2000. In fact, you know what?!? Forget that nostalgia crap! Came here for two Mets games, great place! Large arena, lots of food options, TV crew on point (got really close to being on TV last time!). They even gave out free Mets tshirts!! So cool :D Gonna give mine to my dad :)) The game itself was fun too, large scoreboards to keep track of everything. In-game entertainment such as small kids running around racing doing the 50 meter dash, trivia game questions for money, or a cute little boy hitting baseball games (he was so good! Next pro player for sure :D). All the attendants were super sweet to me too, I think they liked how I looked especially wearing the oversized Mets shirt :)) The first time I came here two years ago or so, they also had Enrique Iglesias songs and fireworks after the game too! Citi Field is GREAT! It's SO much better than the shit hole called Shea. Every seat is good. Another thing I like about coming to see the Mets (unfortunately) is that they suck. Hey, I'm a mets fan, but it's the truth. Since they suck, you can usually get great seats for cheap. We sat in the champion's lounge. Awesome time, the bar was no wait, there was free unlimited soda (not that I needed it), and there was no wait for our bathroom which was clean, stocked, and had a tv in it so you wouldn't miss any of the game. read more

I am a fan, not a die hard fan but a fairly sober one. The Mets might or might not win the series, but they do give you a good show of sportsmanship and teamwork. Los Metropolitans. Underachieving since they burst onto the baseball scene like a wart in 1962. And 1962 is oddly enough the birth year of a majority if its players. They do have a story book history though and it is filled with milestones. 0 perfect games, 0 no hitters, and the single biggest collapse in baseball history. They are also the only team in baseball history to have players being paid handsomely and also actively collecting social security. Look at all the stars which have donned Met uniforms: Butch Husky, Rodger Cedeno. Edgardo Alfonzo, Benny Agbayani, Bernard Gilkey, Tim Tuffle, Bill Pulsipher and Anthony Young... the list goes on and on, and on and on... Obviously I jest, but the Mets did have some legitimate stars. Dwight Gooden, Bobby Bonilla and Daryl Strawberry. Their baseball stats are almost as lengthy as their police reports. Great stadium! I am a Phillies fan! But really enjoyed our game ( 8-14-10) I was suprised how friendly the Mets fans were!

I'd like to congratulate the staff of the Mets Kids Club, and especially Tara Napoli. My wife and I had complained that the Buy One, Get One Mets Ticket Offer expired two days before our membership package arrived, and further, that the free game tickets offered as part of the Mets Kids Club annual membership consisted of 5 weeknight games while school was in session, with 2 two other summer dates either on July 4 or a weekday. Mets Kids Club gave us 4 tickets to the game of our choice in wonderful seats (Section 310) on the 1st base side. No idea what they retail for but I'd like to sit there for every game in perpetuity. I grant you Citi Field attendance is down (again) and this is unlikely to happen when the Mets have a winning ball club in post-season contention. But still, in this age of dramatically lowered performance and expectations in connection with customer service, the Mets Kids Club staff were super responsive, pleasant, cordial, solicitous, gracious, efficient and professional. On several occasions they answered dueling e-mails and voicemails, and when one staff member went out on paternity leave, another picked up the ball. Not only that, they squeezed in our little issue in the midst of what must have been marathon 2013 All-Star game preparations and planning. So, you know what? Hats off and kudos to the Kids Club staff. read more

Thanks "Mike H." For being the least helpful person ever.. One of my friends lost their iPhone at today's game and barely walked out of the stadium when they realized it was no longer on them. No one is blaming "Met's Stadium" for the loss, but the staff at the gate made possibly finding the phone a complete nightmare...... He refused to let any of us in without an "unused ticket"; we had already been scanned in and he would not accept our previously scanned tickets. Luckily we had 2 unused tickets we were not able to sell and entered with them.... Look, I'm not asking "Mike H." To know or have the lost phone on him, but the fact that he went out of his way to make our life difficult and insisted that we were not his problem and would not let us back in with the tickets we had originally used was ridiculous. The issue is not about the quality of Citi Field, but of the horrible people they employ at a management level. Hopefully I will never have to interact with Mike H again. read more

I love my New York Mets so much, they bring me and my son so much joy. Citi field is extremely clean and safe and as a parent, it is definitely somewhere fun to take your kids. They have giveaway nights as well. THe food is $$, so we usually eat before going and get a snack, but that is also part of the base ball game experience. You can get great seats too as the Mets are not that popular at times when they are not playing so well. Let's go Mets, thanks for another great season!! read more

As a Mets fan I have nothing else but to give it 5 stars, such a great stadium! way better than Shea Stadium but as a real fan can't call it Citi Field yet. If you're looking for great food and you are afraid to miss the game, no worries make your way to Pat La Frieda and Shake Shack, believe me the wait is worth it while watching the game on the big screen directly over head of really good frozen margaritas. If you have kids come an hour early and enjoy all the dunk tank and batting cages the stadium has to offer by the food section behind the big apple reserve area. read more

The Amazin's This is the year of the Mets. This version of the team has zoomed from nowhere to top flight. Their very young pitching staff is amazing. The fastest fast balls on average in baseball today. Averaging over 95 mph for all of their fast balls. They have just beat the Dodgers and then swept the Cubs in 4 to head for the world series. The pitchers limited the runs, and their hitters finally came through. Both the Dodgers and Cubs had excellent players. The Cubs - killer good hitters and two tough pitchers. But the Mets prevailed. Daniel Murphy deserves his own Yelp page! His performance is unprecedented. Who would have believed that a guy with 14 home runs for the year would hit a homer in 6 straight games setting a MLB record. That he would rank with Reggie Jackson, Carlos Beltran and Lou Gehrig in his post season hitting achievements and this doesn't include the world series yet. He has tied Lou Gehrig in being the second person to have a hit, a run and an RBI in 7 consecutive post season games. And for the NY Mets, broke the record held for post season homers held by Mike Piazza. Totally, unbelievable. And he may even have a Howard Johnson (HOJO) replica bat! The stadium is not Shea, but most would say it is better. It has the classic style back to the past look. The service is efficient and New York polite. And, yes to me that is polite. I'm a transplant to the South and follow the Nationals. They didn't make it this year. But I'm overjoyed to see the Mets go to the series. Their last meaningful one was in 1986. This could be another! And of course, ignore the Yankee fans reviews. Why are they here? Why do they go to Citifield? No one knows. read more

Awesome new stadium! I just have to mention that the Jackie Robinson Rotunda is beautiful. what a well thought out space. Most of the baseball stadiums I've been to, there's no real open space after you go through the turnstiles. It was so nice to have such a huge space as soon as you walk into the stadium. it's one of those places where you just stand there, look up and look all around you. just plain awesome. Good choice of food. The nathans hot dogs were yummy especially with all the diff condiments! They have grilled mushrooms!!! How awesome is that!!! All and all a good experience and the stadium is clean. Getting here via the train was really easy and quick from manhattan! read more

Night after night, the Mets put a pitcher on the mound capable of striking out 10 and throwing a no hitter. Personal favorites include Syndergaard and Harvey! And what about that offense? Conforto is growing before our very eyes into one of the premier number 3 hitters in the league. Batting before Cespedes is going to give him tons of opportunity to knock in a ton of runs. One of the top 5 baseball stadiums I've been too and I've been to a lot!! The atmosphere is typical New York tons of giveaways and the food is pretty good the hotdog bar all over the stadiums are also good you can make your hot dog into a gourmet dog! Love going to the Mets game a must when in New York! And we got a free concert at the end of the game with Busta Rhymes heard they have free concerts throughout the baseball season! read more

Who doesn't love a good crash-and-explosion? Those're fun. The Mets are entertaining on that level, if a bit slathered in hubris and attendant ennui. The Metropolitans are like an unsuccessful bully. It's hard to consider any baseball club that spends so much money to still be an underdog, but the recent Mets have been unable to successfully follow the Yankees/BoSox spend-like-crazy franchise model. 9 in a ROW! This is just a short review of what I think of the 2015 Mets. The Mets have gone through years and years of lousy seasons. This could finally be their year. The pitching is on point, the rotation and bullpen looks solid. I was skeptical about signing Michael Cuddyer but he's proving me wrong. I've always been a fan of Granderson, he came through big last night. David Wright should be back soon and as much as I love Murph, he's a bit slow playing 2nd. As a hitter, he'll do just fine but defensively, he doesn't look very agile at that position. It's still early into season and too early to tell if they can keep this up. It's a hot start but each time Harvey has pitched, the Mets had suffered some injuries. It's not his fault obviously but if players on the active roster are starting to get injured at an alarming rate, there could be some trouble brewing. Wheeler is out for the season, Gee has filled in but hasn't been doing very well. Rafael Montero should be the 5th starter but with that happening, what do we do with Noah Syndergaard? Burn him out in Las Vegas (Met's minor league AAA team)? I'm liking this 2015 team and it's chemistry. As a life long Mets fan, there's finally some excitement generating the season. I still wish that Omar Minaya and Willie Randolph were still part of the Mets Organization but that's just me speaking. A majority of the prospects and young players we have now were drafted by Minaya during his tenure as GM. As for Willie, he had a pretty good winning record (302-253) as a manager of the Mets. Even though they choked badly for two seasons in a row, I still would of chosen him over Jerry Manuel during those years. Now that Terry Collins is the manager, he has done a fine job so far. Even though his winning percentage isn't above .500, he'll definitely achieve some success with this current Mets team. read more

I was 11 for their WS win in 1986, and have seen two trips back to the World Series (2000 and 2015), both resulting in early finishes against the hated Yankees, and the mildly disliked Kansas City Royals. I wore that Mets baseball cap everywhere I went, even to school where I didn't take it off until the teacher forced me to! Hernandez, Carter, McReynolds, Gooden, the Straw, Mookie... I will remember these names for the rest of my life. It's too bad they were only able to get one championship out of that group. Unfortunately, I have to vote the two stars "Meh, I've experienced better" option, which is a more an indictment of Major League Baseball in general rather than the Mets specifically. MLB has totally turned it's back on the average fan, and I can't stand the greedy, spoiled, modern players of today. So I went to the Mets @ Nationals game on Sunday,​ April 7. I prepaid for a parking ticket, and when I got there, they gave my parking spot away. I emailed them asking for a refund, they said to call ticket services. I called them, and they said they'll try to get me a refund, and they'll call me back soon. That was about 2 weeks ago, and they never called me back. I called them again today, and they said they can't do anything about it. Basically, I paid for a parking ticket, didn't get my parking spot or my money back. read more

We attended the Mets vs. Giants Wild card game on Wednesday 10/5/16. This was our first trip to the Mets stadium. Overall we had a great time. The fans were inviting and energetic. There was of course a lot of shit talking on both side, however it was all well received. The only thing we didn't care for was the food, surprisingly enough. NYC ballpark food is something we hear about quite often, and it left something to be desired (bacon on a stick was grossly under cooked in burnt oil). Thanks for a great time! read more
