I HIGHLY recommend Glenn Helder Home Inspection to anyone looking to get an inspection done. We…read morefound Glenn through yelp and saw he had a bunch of positive reviews and decided to work with Glenn to get an inspection done on our first potential home. Glenn is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and was extremely diligent in performing the home inspection as well as breaking things down for me along the way to make sure I understood everything he was telling me. We are very thankful to Glenn who put together a 40+ page detailed home inspection report for us to review. We were extremely happy we went with Glenn and are appreciative of the service he provided!

Glenn Helder is a true professional who raises the bar for what a home inspection should be. From the moment he arrived, his thoroughness and calm, pleasant demeanor made me feel confident I was in expert hands. His responsiveness leading up to the inspection and quick turnaround on the final report were also a breath of fresh air during a fast-moving process. But what truly stood out was Glenn's sage and honest advice. He identified major short-term costs that I hadn't initially factored in--costs that would have been financially and emotionally taxing had I gone forward blindly. Thanks to his insight, I was able to walk away from a potentially burdensome purchase. Beyond that, Glenn provided thoughtful recommendations for long-term upgrades and preventative fixes that felt more like guidance from a seasoned contractor than a typical home inspector. His depth of knowledge went well beyond a checklist and truly felt like a partnership. If you're looking for someone who takes pride in his work, communicates clearly, and genuinely cares about his clients' well-being, Glenn is your guy. I'd recommend him a hundred times over.

He was professional and friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Safety is my number one priority and I did not want to be moving into a house that could cause any health or safety problems. We received our report faster than expected. The report was extremely detailed and included photos from multiple angles and explanations of his findings with regards to how urgent a potential repair would be. Steve was worth every penny!

This company has a pending complaint filed with the NYS Department of State Licensing Bureau and…read morereports on file with the SC Division of Consumer Affairs and NYS Consumer Protection. I might as well have had the kid next door do the inspection. Relying on this company's report cost me tens of thousands of dollars after purchasing my home. I could not insure the house without replacing the roof, which they estimated to be 10-15 years. They listed two fireplaces/stoves as wood-burning despite there being obvious gas pipes connected to the units. Therefore, they did not inspect them, and one of them had a defective on/off knob. They only listed the existence of a sliding glass door in the sunroom and omitted that it was not functional and had a 2-inch gap between the doors. The rest of the report was sloppy and several inaccuracies. Fred Hagemeyer, one of the owners, made excuses for these errors, claimed the report contained harmless "misstatements", and blamed everyone else for their assessments. However, in our first conversation, he offered to refund the cost of the report. In our final conversation, we negotiated a money amount to help offset my costs resulting from his errors. I am still waiting.

Major leaks in Living Room and Great Room. We had to replace a sliding door and palladium window, cost over $12,000. They did a Termite inspection (??). There was rotting in the garage which was caused by a infestation of Termites. The Worst Company
