Truthishly, it's hard to not love a Teriyaki spot that does a little bit of everything well! We stop in once a month or so when we've got the craving for some delicious chicken/beef/pork teriyaki with a side or two. We've also found the sushi here to be quite lovely! The rolls are good size, made fresh and the dudes/ladies making them seem to know what they're doing. The spider roll is always crowd pleaser and the spicy tuna and salmon skin rolls are staples for anyone who loves these little rolls of fish bliss. There was a small piece of salmon and some chicken with teriyaki sauce that was decent tempura that was OK as well a nice seaweed salad, the rice was OK tho slightly dry but the sushi was good. 2 piece Cali roll was slightly dry and the shrimp nigiri had wasabi in it that I wasn't expecting but the eel was good the squid OK and the sashimi great. $16. Let me say that the interior of the restaurant is clean and welcoming. The woman at the front desk was friendly. Then we ordered dinner. I ordered the beef and (2) spring roll combination dinner and my friend ordered the beef and pork combination dinner. Both dinners came with a small crisp salad. Both dinners had PLENTY of food on the plate. That's where everything went sideways. Both plates and all the food were cold as ice. We had to ask for them to be nuked to bring them up to a pleasant eating temperature. The beef and pork were extremely dry ... they'd been cooked very early in the day or a day or two ago. A spray of sauce across the top would not bring them back to soft and tender and moist. No way! When we asked asked for hot oil to spice them up we were charged an additional 50 cents per serving. When we left we explained our feelings to the server and from across the room a man called us out and told us we were wrong and that he'd never heard such complaints before. Never once did they apologize for cold food or dried out food. All in in all...not horrible...but not good. read more

Found this spot during a visit in late October, wasn't too busy on a Saturday night. They serve japanese & korean dishes. The bulgogi was a little too salty for me but the sushi was good. The owners and servers were very friendly and attentive, I'd give service a 5 star but give them a 4 because of the bulgogi and the slim selection of sushi. The last few times I've been there, I order edamame, a sushi roll and a chicken bowl for my wife and I. When I order, I tell them I would like each one served one at a time so everything is fresh. 10 minutes later everything comes at once. Edamame, sushi, soup, salad and chicken bowl. When I explained it again the younger waiter says we don't do it that way. You have for the past several years though...... This time I decide to get take out. Same order as always. I get home and everything is completely wrong. I drive the 15 minutes back to get my money back and the owner starts yelling at me and swearing and calling me names. There are 4 NYT's in yakima and one outside of Yakima (Moxee) and this is my favorite location. I love the staff, they are always very friendly. I meet a friend here for our "best friend" lunch, and we sometimes stay for a very long time visiting and the staff is never pushy to rush us out. My daughter is always with us and they always make a point to say hi to her - wonderful people. Food is amazing. I would eat here everyday if I could. read more

They get pretty busy and there are some issues with attitude from staff that comes off as not so nice. If you want an ok place to eat..come here...I prefer a more authentic sushi myself.
