    Beef U-Don is fantastic!

Amazingly fast and friendly service. The beef U-don broth has a nice rich and Smokey flavor, delicious!

Truthishly, it's hard to not love a Teriyaki spot that does a little bit of everything well! We stop in once a month or so when we've got the craving for some delicious chicken/beef/pork teriyaki with a side or two. We've also found the sushi here to be quite lovely! The rolls are good size, made fresh and the dudes/ladies making them seem to know what they're doing. The spider roll is always crowd pleaser and the spicy tuna and salmon skin rolls are staples for anyone who loves these little rolls of fish bliss. The place has ample seating and does a ton of different things on their menu from bento boxes to bulgogli beef as well as other things that are "b" alliterations! The folks here are super friendly, the portions are ample and they're always ready when you are with a to-go order. Well played NYTeriyaki!

This place is horrible. I have decided to give it multiple chances and they always seem to let me down. They are really rude and give off a bad vibe. Which makes you feel uncomfortable. I came to eat with my two boys and they sat us in the back of the restaurant!! Like Rosa Parks. It's so sad. Mind you we are the only 3 in here. I will never come back. I recommend to go see Jesse at the New York teriyaki in union gap!! He is amazing!!

#39 chicken salmon tempura sushi bento. $16

Honestly the food is good. Yelp gave me the tip and my friend confirmed it was good and we went there. I got the chicken salmon tempura sushi bento. There was a small piece of salmon and some chicken with teriyaki sauce that was decent tempura that was OK as well a nice seaweed salad, the rice was OK tho slightly dry but the sushi was good. 2 piece Cali roll was slightly dry and the shrimp nigiri had wasabi in it that I wasn't expecting but the eel was good the squid OK and the sashimi great. $16. My friend had a baked salmon roll and a Japanese beer and our total was $33 and change. Super nice and fast service and good food just slightly pricey.

Great, friendly, quick service. Good food. Reasonable prices. There are three NY Teriyakis in Yakima. I think the one in Union Gap is the best, this one is second and the one in North Yakima on 1st Street is my least favorite. The seating and decor in the Fruitvale location are my favorite. Very clean and well lit. The chairs are comfortable and the place is nice and roomy.

Very good and convenient. Bento box is best deal. I appreciate how fast they can get you in on your lunch break.

The food was delicious! They serve you a good size portion. It's enough to feed at least 3 people. I definitely recommend New York Teriyaki!

Overpriced. Rude employee. Won't be returning. Food below average. How do they expect to keep that place open we'll never know.

We ordered the beef bulgogi, shrimp yakisoba and galbi short ribs. We added some appetizers. We tried the egg rolls and gyozas. Everything was wonderful! The bulgogi had great flavor and the veggies were beautifully cooked. The yakisoba was also perfect and had wonderful flavor. The ribs were yummy and the egg rolls were meaty and super tasty and the Gyozas! I've never had ones so packed fulll of the delicious meat mix. The take out order was ready on time, everything we needed and some extras were in the bag. The bill for a meal that will feed us several times was under $100. We enjoyed our food and experience with this establishment tremendously. Great value, great food. Great find. We will be back when we next pass this way.

Half expecting a little Teriyaki restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised it was much more upscale than I had imagined and has wonderfully innovative menu options. I had the Blackened Salmon and loved it because I loved their use of apples and mangos in such a tasty dish. I also tried the Banana Crème Brûlée which was a rotating dessert and it was Amazing. We got the stone bowl fried rice and blackened salmon with apple slaw.... I wasn't a fan of the fried rice- it was way too salty and kind of gooey/wet? And was an additional $6 for a couple little chunks of chicken in it (kind of ridiculous). So when I read "blackened salmon" I was thinking blackened seasoning or something?-Nope, it was literally just charred black. Had no flavor other than "burnt", but at least it was tender- a glaze or a marinade would have been nice. Had super high expectations after those apps and the salmon seriously fell short.... The apple slaw that came with it was to die for though! flavorful and the perfect combination with the sweetness from the apple, tang from the mango, a bit of spice from the jalapeño, and a touch of acidity- super refreshing on a 90+ degree day! Plan to try some other dishes next time

Prices aren't bad (especially in today's climate) and portions lean large. The Not as Good: Food quality, at least for what we had, was marginal. It's probably hard to serve such a wide menu and get everything right. Food wasn't bad. Just not very good. I hope they can up their game on at least some dishes - or, maybe I need to order different next time. Not sure if there will be a next time. The name should probably tell you something. A local suggested we try it, otherwise we probably wouldn't have. Full disclaimer: we are very accustomed to good Asian food (at various price points), particularly Japanese food. Our standards aren't crazy high, but maybe a bit pickier than some. I wish them good luck.
