As a lover of all things vintage/antique, walking into the Chrystie House was a dream come true. It truly felt like being transported back to more than a century ago. The rooms were furnished in a historical style and even the bathroom was adorably retro. Each morning we were warmly greeted by our host Lynn, who provided a delicious homemade breakfast. Like the beautiful home, she was charming and delightful. She even gave us great insight about the Dia Beacon. The Chrystie house is an easy 20 minute walk to Dia Beacon and the Main Street, so it is easily accessible from all the main highlights of the town. I highly recommend staying at this charming B&B!

It's a solid economy room. For the price, no complaints. It's economy for a reason: totally throw back hotel experience - smoking allowed so there's that hotel cigarette smell, good water pressure on the shower, thinnish walls so you'll hear loud convos and sex next door, coke machine outside, etc. Desk guy was super nice and let us check out the room before we paid. If you need a cheap place to crash and can handle the old school style of the place, do it.

The place is reasonably clean but it is older and well used. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves which is nice. The bathrooms are all right and the water pressure is acceptable. This place is slightly better than a budget cheap hotel. You get breakfast with your room stay which is the basic fair. The eggs are yellow and served as a puck and the sausage is grey and steamed. I believe they just thaw pre-cooked patties in the warmer. Fresh waffles are nice and they have other cereal and toast offerings. Really basic. They also have a bar restaurant on the premises. The drinks are expensive and the food is OK. I had a meal at Denny's which I thought was better and less expensive. The parking is good and they have a nice little laundry on the premises which works very well. For a sub $100 a night this place is fine.

There were No Smoking signs everywhere, and they were clearly not enforced. The chairs in the room were filthy, and there were cigarette burns on the tub and toilet seat. The restaurant was closed, and the pool area was closed, with weeds overgrown. We didn't end up spending the night, checked out that same day, and drove back home. While checking out, I voiced my concerns, and the staff was unfazed. It was a waste of my money.
