two pies and a box of pot pies
    Kristen H.

Out of this world pot pies... Sold in other locations around town including R's market and the Brighton farmers market. If you like pot pies this is the place for you - vegetarian options available as well. Specialty pies make it into the rotation as well depending on holidays etc.

Now this is a hug of comfort !!

Found them at a farmer's market and eventually started just going to their bricks n' mortar location. Love these pies.

For $20, we landed on Coluccio from Sicily (1L) that the owner also uses in the cooking at their restaurant next door. She recommended it so we trusted her insight. Definitely good bang for your buck. We also picked up some dried porcini mushrooms ($5) and burrata (buffalo mozzarella & stracciatella - $12). The owner was a gem. Joann gave us cooking tips on the proper preparation for a cream sauce using the mushrooms. The items in the store are all from smaller artisanal Italian farms. I found most of the prices to be relatively reasonable considering they're all imported from Italy. They offer a variety of things that would be perfect for making a gift basket like pasta, canned tomatoes (San Marzano - the best!), spreads, and adorable serving platters. You'll find frozen clams for your next pasta dish or fresh deli meats and delicious buffalo mozzarella (the most delicious cheese in the world) for a homemade charcuterie plate. We're going to be regulars, for sure.

I have absolutely no clue why I have never written a review on this place.. well here we go…read more I've been here to pick up things for events and raffles.. Ive tried the oils and vinegars pre-Covid. Lots of fun things to try and it gives you ideas of things to use with different foods. (Mayer Lemon EVOO!) Oils as a garnish or to sauté with, make salad dressings, dip your bread..the list goes on. Thing is with Covid I have no idea if you can try anything? I would say ask.. I buy blind and I just go by a description so... What's nice is they ship and they have a few other locations. If you want to give a gift to someone who loves to cook but not sure what to get them. Come here you can get a bunch of different things or get a prepared box of boxed up oils and etc. Staff is friendly and helpful considering Covid it's not a big place and they will regulate the flow of customers if it gets a bit too much. What's good about this place is where it is, after you go in here depending the time frame you can pop in to Baker Street Bakery for some bread and treats. Check out Salty a lovely boutique store or go to Cafe Sasso, Glen Edith, The Chai Guy or Pittsford Dairy for some drinks and treats. Parking is street or behind the building on Somerton. Give them a whirl.

The staff here are total experts when it comes to helping you find a unique flavor profiles and combinations, and, while I haven't been in during the COVID times, know they have an amazing tasting process during the normal times. I adore their balsamics and am particularly partial to the fig and berry-based bottles. We always have F. Olivers with our Sunday sauce at my parents house - paired with some Wegmans garlic tuscan bread?! Forget it. I always look forward to my next order of oils and balsamics. Stop in if you have yet to, making stops at Salty and Baker Street Bakery in the awesome Somerton plaza. F. Olivers also has a location in Canandaigua. Happy dipping!
