This PecanBerry salad was fabulous! I would eat it often if there was a McAlister's Deli close to my home!! Got it as a take out meal, I loved it so much!!! The restaurant was clean!! The guy that took my order was very pleasant! I would gladly visit this location again. My hubs ordered the Reuben and potato salad, he enjoyed it too. Found the door from curb pickup is dangerous. They do not offer curb pickup even tho signs say they do. Have to get out of car to pick up order. Today , I hurt my shoulder trying to open the door. I am 80and always careful around broken dangerous situations. This door has been broken for months. Sick of trying to open and step down at same down, not safe. Will never go back. They know it has been broken and do not really give a damn or it would have been fixed. Food is usually fine, but no curbside and broken metal and glass door is horrible to navigate. Done with the lack of safety for customers. I was a claims adjustor for many years with Liberty Mutual, I find it incredible they have allowed this piece of junk door to malfunction for all these months. I came in on Sunday we had great service and the food came out hot and fast. This was the first time that I have been there that I had a manager talisha come ask us how our meal was and if there was anything she could do to make our experience in the restaurant better she said she valued all feedback she gets. We didn't have anything negative to say and she thanked us for coming in and told us to be sure to come back. I watched and she made it a point to stop at every table that had a customer at it. came in on Sunday and the restaurant was very busy but even though it was busy everything was in order and our food made it to the table before we did. we have been eating here every Sunday for years but this Sunday we meet a manager named Talisha she came and asked us how our experience was today and she was open to any negative or positive feedback we had she explained she was one of the managers and thanked us for being loyalty members which was the first time that had happened. she was very professional and on top of things she made sure to get us refills and box's and anything else we needed before we asked we was there for alittle while and she checked on us at least 3 to 4 times while we were there. She made sure to speak to each and every table everytime she came to the dining room. She was in the back and front and was working right along with her staff and that was impressive to see. First time at McAlister's Deli and I will say, I enjoyed their chips & queso cheese. It was quite delicious & I believe that they were fairly well. On request, you can get them to go. If you decide to eat in the restaurant and run out of chips, they will happily give you more. Another thing I enjoyed was their baked potatoes. They are HUGE! and delicious! From recommendations and the portion sizes of the potatoes, the chips and queso, I felt satisfied with my orders. With the drinks, I loved their lemonade and they give free refills. I learned that you can also purchase their drinks by the gallon. The restaurant is clean. The staffs are friendly, cheerful, helpful. FYI, there are no servers. You order at the counter, they give you a number for your table, and then someone brings your food. They have a plethora of sandwiches. On the go, I also ordered their Grilled Chicken and Broccoli Cheddar soup. That was delicious as well. read more

Waited in line at least 10 minutes (one cash register with guests all the way to the door) ... took forever (didn't time it but no less than 20 minutes) to receive croissants that were cold (supposed to be served warm) and LITERALLY rock hard ... I mean tooth-breaking hard (though we were smart enough not to take a bite) ... and soup that was relatively tasteless and lukewarm. I have been on a liquid diet for months. Because of it, I have ordered soups from various restaurants and my takeout options have been limited. On multiple occasions, this McAlister's location sent our orders out the door - both with us directly or with a delivery person - severely incomplete. I'm no talking about missing one item. I'm talking about ordering 4 or 5 bowls of soup only to discover they shorted us more than half our order. Most recently, we ordered four soups and three kids meals...we received one of the soups and two partial kids meals - no sides and uncooked grilled cheese sandwiches. It is honestly unreal. This location is garbage and it needs new management, new staff, or needs to just close altogether. Their attitude has been rude every time as well. I work in the gig economy. McAlister's has a pick up sign above one register. I have always been able to go to that side and get help and pick up the order I need. Today I stood there for 10 minutes, getting completely ignored by every employee, that walked past me. Then, they open up the register for pick up, and the employee helps the line of people that are walk ins. Do you not still have a designated pick up area. This was completely rude. I was standing right there, in front of the register with my Door Bag. If we have to all get in one line, then take the sign down!!! read more

It's been a while since I ate here last but this experience was pretty good overall. The staff were not very busy when I arrived but it almost came off like they were annoyed to have business. Just a weird interaction. But our food tastes good and after it was at the table there were a couple times someone came by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I found out about McAlister's when I was in Arkansas for business. I wanted a soup and salad combo, so I came here. I went and it was pretty empty so the service was quick. The only bad thing was the salad dressing spilled. They did their best by wrapping it in saran wrap, but I had all this oil on my desk in the hotel due to it spilling. I only tried their soup/salad combo. I can't complain, it was a soup and a salad. read more

Stopped in for lunch around 12:30. Despite it being early in the day, they were out of coleslaw and lemonade, but didn't tell is when we ordered and made a Rueben without coleslaw. They also said that they would make more lemonade, but they forgot to bring it out. The service was very slow, despite the restaurant not being very busy and there being a large number of people behind the counter. In addition to my wife's sandwich not having coleslaw on it, there were several bones in my grilled chicken breast sandwich. There must be better options for your lunch. read more

The food here is good (French dip is top notch) and the staff is nice. The serving sizes are not huge and although they look small they'll fill you up more than you think. It's not as clean as most other Mcalister's. Every time I come here the floors are dirty and the bathrooms are as well. I'll keep coming back for the food though. read more

Being a non-meat eater, McAlister's Deli "was" a favorite place for a veggie wrap, and a side of steamed veggies (now just broccoli). I don't like to complain but sometimes I do. I'm not okay paying a 50 cent upcharge for dressing. I was told that is the new policy and they have had a lot of complaints about it. Well it's not okay. We arrived at 7:30 and the door said they close at 9:00. We went to order and before we could order our food we were rudely instructed their dining room closes at 8:00. We said ok. Then we ordered and was again told they close at 8:00. I asked, "so if I'm not done eating by 8:00 do I have to leave?" The cashier (Silas) says, "Well no, we can't kick you out at 8, but we do close at 8." I finished my order and then was told to only sit on one side of the restaurant with other guests because they'd already shut down the larger part of the restaurant at 7:30. My husband had already been seated over there with our baby and had to get up and move. (Not the first time they have ask of that when we visit) This is limiting social distancing and not following the pandemic Hamilton county rules for dining out as well as limiting spacing and seating area to one small side of the restaurant. We got our food and it was good for 35.00 but they left out the cookies for the kids meals that we ordered for our 4 kids. No refills were offered on drinks. I went up to the counter and I kindly asked Silas if they could have their cookies for the kids meals and he said they were probably out. He wasn't even going to ask the kitchen. He did when I kept standing there and said they didn't have any. I asked if there was a substitute for their meals since we bought four and didn't get part of their meal. He replied, "No when we're out we're just out and you don't get anything" I wish I'd been told when ordering kid's meal for 4 kids that they didn't have food to serve with them. In the past when they were out they offered another cookie substitute with our purchase. We are so easy going and really appreciative of restaurants being open during corona but the customer service at this location was not ok today. We quickly ate our food and listened as three more people came in to order and were turned away from ordering before 8:00 closing had even arrived and they had to leave without purchasing anything. If the restaurant closes at 8:00 no one should be harassed about their visit before 8:00 and especially ours at 7:30. We are frequent customers and love the brand Mccallister's but we won't be coming back. It ruined our Sunday night dinner with our family. read more

I have always enjoyed eating at McAllister's in Chattanooga. I really love the sandwiches and salads. Today me and my family went there for dinner and had an awful dinner . They were out of Ham,Bacon , Mac and cheese , Doritos, apples sauce and rotels . This is ridiculous . This is nothing but poor management. I hope someone in management sees this because it's totally uncalled for. I run three businesses and would have never let this happened if it had been mine .
