I'm in town for work and have been craving pizza and salad for a while. This really hit the spot! Everything was fresh & delicious. I devoured it.

I love the salads and sandwiches from Newk's! A little on the pricey side, but hey it's 2024 what isn't pricey? I always order online and have it picked up and it's always ready on time! I've ordered several times from here and they always get it right! Inside it's quiet, clean, and nice. They also have an outside patio if you choose to sit outside. All in all a great place to grub!

I enjoy stopping by for a quick bite that's modestly priced and tastes fresh. The service is quick when they aren't packed, however, early ordering and takeout is available through their app. This location offers indoor and outdoor seating too, with the outside patio facing the sunset. My family and I have come here for years and will continue to do so!

Runny potatoe soup

We live newks but this is the third time I have gotten watered down potatoe soup. It is like they are running out so they add water and then it is thin. Very disappointed.

Terrible customer service, the cashier spoke maybe 3 words while we ordered. Those words consisting of i'm not sure, and when a normal person working cashier would go ask a manager or a fellow employee for help to answer a easy question, she sat there and asked if there and did nothing. This is especially frustrating when all i asked was if a few items on the menu are gluten free, and no one had any idea. I have celiac disease, so this is a health concern not just a preference. I have been to another location in Dallas Texas and the customer service was fantastic. This franchise needs to retrain and rehire there employees if they want to stay around. I find it inexcusable that a health concern is not taken seriously by your staff. I wish the best, but will not be returning. Side note, the ahi tuna salads tuna was frozen solid when i received it.

There's a lot, but it didn't taste fresh. Brown lettuce. Dry chicken.

That thick, golden crust has the perfect balance of crisp edges and soft, airy chew in the middle. You can tell it is baked with intention. The cheese caramelizes along the sides, the sauce is bright without being overpowering, and every bite feels indulgent without tipping into heavy. It is hearty, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. Then there is the cheese bread, which deserves its own applause. Warm, gooey, and unapologetically cheesy, it hits that ideal sweet spot between pillowy dough and rich melted cheese. It is the kind of thing you plan to take home leftovers of and then mysteriously finish in the car. What really seals the deal, though, is the customer service. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy you are there. Orders come out with care, questions are answered with enthusiasm, and the whole experience feels relaxed and neighborly. You never feel rushed, just well taken care of. Poppy Pies fits Fondren perfectly. It is cozy, confident, and clearly made with love. Whether you are there for a full pizza night with the family or just grabbing cheese bread to treat yourself, it is absolutely worth the stop and very easy to crave again.

Great Legos on display, a cool "game" vibe, and very friendly staff. The food was also really good. The chili cheese tots were excellent. The tots were crispy and the chili and cheese were delicious. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. The pizza was good and you can add extra pepperonis if you want, for $1. They have tons of board games and card games and even a few video games for people to play. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. They asked if we wanted water to go, and without asking, they brought a small to-go cup of lemons, since we had lemon with the water we had with our food. A very nice touch. It's an interesting place in the middle of Mississippi that is worth stopping at if you're passing through around lunch time.

While doing so I stumbled across this location and decided to give it a try. I was amused by all the nerdy decor so I decided to nerd out and have dinner while watching Star Trek. My waiter explain the menu to me when I told him it was my first visit and offered good suggestions on items I should try. He informed me that they have various nights where they have board games, movies, and other activities. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and pretzel bites. The food came out in a timely manner and was well prepared at a great temperature. Although the coleslaw was bland, you can tell it was freshly made. The pulled pork was a good portion and flavorful while the pretzel bites were fluffy and salty just like you would want them. As to my old fashioned, it tasted good, but they didn't include the traditional cherry for the old fashioned. I enjoyed this experience and the next time I'm in town I will visit for sure.
