My chicken bacon sandwich was delicious. They offer a teacher discount too, which is nice! Staff are friendly. It's big and spacious inside, and they have a nice patio too.

Reviewed March 18, 2019 Health Score 85 out of 100 Impressive new deli restaurant in Oklahoma! Newk's Eatery is going to shake up the deli, sub sandwich restaurant business. The food is excellent and the portions are generous! This is an order at the bar restaurant. You get a number for your order and it is delivered to your table. The menu is large! It includes sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza and desserts. Check out their website before you go.

We had the Greek Salad and the Italian Sandwich with a small bowl of Steak and Roasted Vegetable Soup. The salad was large! It was chocked full of a variety of vegetables, chicken, feta cheese and mixed with a perfect Greek dressing....

was thick, hearty soup packed with roasted garden vegetables. Newk's has a couple of unique things that I haven't seen anywhere. The first is what they call the "round table. It is a "round table" that is stocked with a great variety of condiments, from sauces to capers, peppers and roasted garlic. The other neat thing is their prepared sandwich counter for grab and go lunches. It also has containers of soup for a quick, take home heat and eat dinner. Great restaurant....... I love Newk's! It's very similar to a Panera. Tahlequah is lucky to have one. I always enjoy the soup and sandwiches! My chicken bacon sandwich was delicious. They offer a teacher discount too, which is nice! Staff are friendly. It's big and spacious inside, and they have a nice patio too.

While my husband and I were out running errands, we thought we would stop in for Valentine's takeout. Well we placed our order for curbside and when it came out we thought we had gotten everything. When we got it home I discovered that our dessert was missing(a slice of pb chocolate cake), my salad was made wrong(I said no Romaine and pulled out the equivalent to half a head of lettuce). When I order extra pasta and no romaine, I do not expect to pull out the equivalent to a half head of lettuce out of my dinner, wasting 20 minutes of doing so. It makes me question the competency of the staff and their ability to read an order correctly. Other than that, the meal was good, the crawfish pepperjack soup had a of a kick. The hubby enjoyed his dinner as well, but pay attention to the order and how it is assembled. Always make sure you double check the order before bringing it out to the customer, so it can be a positive experience all around and not such a disaster.

Love this restaurant ! visited during Covid so did take away service. Look thru the window and dining area was very nice. The workers 6qhere are very nice and very conscientious. Now we ordered the food on line , the site is very easy to use even for a 60 year old who has very little tech skills. We've ordered every class of food options from salad to sandwiches to pizza. All were very good and cause you can specialize you get what you want. In a nutshell I love this place but before you leave order a slice of cake any of them cause they are the bomb! read more

Delicious! We had two salads and two pizzas. Both salads were very large and everything was fresh. Pizzas were a bit greasy but a napkin fixed that. If you are lucky, know that they put tomatoes and basil as garnish. Would definitely recommend!! read more

I had a custom pizza with cauliflower crusts. The crust itself was thin but delicious. I highly recommended. My daughter had pepperoni and extra cheese on regular thin crust. She said it was tasty too. read more

Ate here while vacationing in area and we were extemely impressed. Kind of operates on the McAlister's system, only offering 10-inch pizzas along with awesome sandwiches, soups, and salads. My wife got loaded potato soup and a chicken pesto sandwich. She commented that both were superior to similar offerings from Panera Bread and McAlisters. I ordered the Mediterranean Pizza and was delighted with each bite. Hope a Newk's comes to the OKC area soon! read more

Popped in for a bowl of soup and bread for dinner last night, 11/23/19. When the food was brought to the table, the young man asked if we needed anything. I asked for butter for my bread. The young man replies, "I'm sorry ma'am, we don't have any butter." Words a discerning diner never wishes to hear! Simply amazing!! The staff goes above and beyond. I have celiac and when I asked questions about items being gluten free, the staff did not hesitate to give me help and the manager even offered to make my salad himself to ensure it was safe for me to eat! Alyssa " mom" or " big Sister" you can definitely tell she calls the shots. She runs the roost. she was so calm and talking to me. i told her why i was there and the reasons why i am driving to OK. she just listened and gave me advice and made me laugh. she really reminded me of my sister that passed away. I love the food and the ambiance. chicken fried stake and black coffee. the staff dose tremendous great work and if i could make the wages different i would at least pay them $19.00 hr. i looked up the minimum wage in Tahlequah, Ok $7.10hr that is absurd. these wonderful people do way more then just help run a dinner. they are family, therapist, counselors, jokesters and good quality people. The staff works hard to keep the place running in tip top shape. I was there when the small front fridge broke and NO on sat in the fridge the door just fell off because of all the usage. No staff broke the door. Please who ever is reading this and own this great establishment let the staff sit down and rest there feet for a momnet i see them up and running around all the time. let them have a moment and be a human being and have a cup of coffee in the dinner. these wonderful people are not robots. they are people to. I love the staff. As i look up minimum at $7.10hr + tips need to do better then that. People can not survive on minimum wage like that there are families to support and that is one way to loose staff. when the staff cant afford to feed there families and start to feel the financial burden they will think about finding another job to support there family. seeing that the minimum wage is THAT LOW and knowing that it can be increased to help the staff in there future to do whatever the dream career is at least increase it to 16.00 + tips as a start. Your staff is awesome and they are worth it. All in a nut shell i wish i could make a movie or a sitcom about this place and call it " Big Hair" because as i think of this dinner it would be a epic movie or sitcom. I am coming back to eat there everytime. As i sit here writing this review in maryland i want to just drive back to " Boomarang dinner" to eat there again. To the staff you guys made this whole experience the best trip ever and I will never forget you guys. Small town dinner with the greatest people you can ever meet.
