I have loved Vidalias since I went to college at NSU many years ago. They have the absolute best desserts in all of Cherokee county. Fantastic lunch spot for salads and sandwiches. Very nice staff. Vidalia's Café is a delightful deli/café in downtown Tahlequah. They have a large menu of meats to sweets, soups salads spuds and chili to chocolate cake. Something for everyone. I went big with the Cambiano Sandwich: ham, salami, peperoni, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto, garlic aioli, sandwiched between grilled rosemary schiacciato bread, (In Oklahoma schiacciato is pronounced "squished"). A magnificent combination of flavors with a thick stack of meat. I added their delicious potato salad to fill the plate with more food than I could finish. My wife had the Green Island, which is a big taco salad. She commented that the freshness of the salad with the excellent chili, was like a homemade meal! The restaurant clean, nicely decorated and surprisingly large (check the pictures). Three large dining areas. The restaurant can handle a crowd. The service is order at the counter and your food is delivered quickly. Serve yourself drinks and grab your own table tools and wipes. The restaurant is well staffed with very friendly folks behind the counter. Definitely one of the best meals that we have had in Tahlequah. read more

We are visiting from out of town and a local resident recommended Vidalias. We were welcomed by 4 friendly faces to a very clean and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and well appointed. Our food was delicious and fresh. I had an Italian sandwich and lobster bisque and my husband had pretzels and cheese. The portions were very generous and the food was DELICIOUS! We are happy to have dined at Vidalias and recommend this restaurant! read more

I ordered a salad and drink. My salad came out with sour cream instead of dressing and no bacon on the salad. The turkey was sliced deli meat. It was more shredded lettuce than anything else. My son's sandwich was dripping mustard. He had to scoop off most of it. Very disppointing as we were really looking forward to eating there. read more

Came in shortly before closing but service was fast and friendly. We were craving salads and they did not disappoint. Had the La Hoya salad and the Salmon salad. Can recommend both. Taking a star off because some of the lettuce in the Salmon salad was wilted. But overall recommend the place. If you want something a little different give them a try. read more

Shook to my core there aren't more recent reviews for this place because it freaking slaps. Do you want a sandwich that tastes like the luxury store version of a Panera Bread one? Then this is the place for you. Do you want soups that make you cry they're so good? Then this is the place for you. Do just want a basic Caesar salad? Then this is the place for you. We always get good food at Vidalia's with good sandwiches and a good "three way" with chili, spaghetti and cheese, excellent desserts. We go regularly and have never gotten anything we didn't like. The setting is clean and open with a nice patio, drinks are self serve and all the utensils are plastic so no dishes to do. We will definitely go back. read more

This is the best place to get a three-way Spaghetti! They also have a kids menu with kid favorites: kid's coney, PB&J, nachos, and grilled cheese. They are a family favorite in my home. read more

One star of one possible for atmosphere. Carefully they have established plexiglass at the counter and Marked tables for social distancing. it's a cute place when you walk in and very clean. One star of one possible for Service. the man behind the counter was friendly helpful and wearing a mask. One star out of two possible for food. the Montecristo was very good, the Caesar salad was fresh but a little bit too much lettuce, and the Coney tasted very good with the exception of the bun which was quite cold and hard. I didn't order this visit, but the brownies and cookies looked Amazing. And finally one star out of one for if I would come back or not. I definitely would like to come back and try some of the other sandwiches and salads. read more

Great service and selection. We were able to have plenty of space to social distance with our group of 6. They have a ton of space indoors and a large courtyard patio. They were supper helpful and accommodating to our kids. Food was excellent quality, and value; I had one of their loaded potatoes, but most people were having sandwiches. Tons of fresh dessert options. Go for the strawberry short cake if they have any left! read more

Wow, what a huge disappointment. Husband ordered chili with Chicago dog.... chili was a runny soup and hot dog was served on a partially frozen bun, seriously. I ordered BLT with side of pasta salad, received a very dry, skimpy sandwich with wilted lettuce served with a tablespoon of pasta salad. and all this lousy "food" for over $17! we will never be back.... have no idea how this restaurant stays in business. read more

Vidalias has long been a staple in downtown Tahlequah. They have sandwiches, salads, potatoes, chili and coneys. All of which are very good. They have homemade desserts which are fantastic. Wow. I went into this place on a dreary day while in town on business. I was blown away. The service was top notch and the food was consistent. I got the "Montana" after it was recommended by the absolutely adorable cashier. I'm not 100% sure what the soup I had, roasted red pepper maybe? It was also mouthwatering and perfect for the rainy, unseasonably cold day. If I am ever in town again, this will be my first stop.... or I may just go back Solely to visit this place! read more

I like local, mom and pop type places so I try to find them wherever I am. Tahlequah has lots of these places in their downtown / college area. First time for me here. I heard the chili was really good so even though it was summer time, I ordered the frito, chili pie and chili dog. Dog was nothing special - decent dog. The chili was good, probably better on a cold day. The desserts make the trip worth it. They have amazing strawberry shortcake - only when in season so better get it while you can. Also, the turtle cheesecake is legit. Served on a little plastic plate does not do it justice - this slice of heaven needs a glass plate with a fine silver fork. The serving size is not large but adequate. There is a nice patio in back to enjoy when the temps are nice. read more

Our family loved Vidalia's! Highly recommend the red pepper soup and the strawberry shortcake.

Save room for dessert, because Danny's cakes are fabulous! At lunchtime, you'll have to stand in a long line to order, but its worth every second. Fresh deli sandwiches, salads, and the best potato salad around. I just wish they were open later, but they are a special treat for lunch. read more

It reminds me of public school lunches, like no effort was put into it with the absolute cheapest lowest quality ingredients. It's like they hired a prison cook on work release who makes bland food in bulk because he has to use tinned generic commodities. Nothing is fresh. Vidalias is a really cute and the staff is delightful. We shared the Monte Cristo and really enjoyed it. It was nice that it wasn't a mass of deep fried bread, but a lightly grilled sandwich. Loved the raspberry sauce. We thought the price was reasonable, served with a generous portion of potato salad. All the choices were under $10. They have a wide variety of options. One of my top three favorite places to eat in Tahlequah! Almost every time I eat there I get the Montana Spud which is lettuce, tomato, guac, pepper jack cheese, turkey and ranch dressing all piled on a baked potato. Sooo good and filling too. If you eat it for a late lunch, you won't have to eat dinner. The only other thing I've had there is the tamales and they are to die for too. We won't even talk about the desserts. Just be prepared to wipe the drool off of your chin when you walk by the case. Staff is very friendly. Love the atmosphere...its a great place for a casual lunch or business lunch.
