NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY - EDDY was the driver. FULL OF ATTITUDE AND WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND NOT SHOWUP This company was called by AAA to assist me with getting a tow of my vehicle at midnight. Their driver says he will be out in 15 minutes, then he says 30 min. 1.5 hrs later he is no where to be seen and doesn't answer his phone. He finally calls me with all sorts of attitude saying he is the only one working so I better be nice to him. Then he hangs up when I ask him where he's been for the last almost 2 hrs. He then keeps telling AAA that he is on his way, so I ended up sitting on the side of the road for over 2.5 hrs, till I had to call a different company. read more

Rodger is the nicest (tow-truck driver) ever! He's very professional, calm and the nicest attitude. He was apologetic, even though it was never his fault. (Nationwide and its automated system screwed things up for the towing.) Newman City Tow should hire people like him. I would give him a raise, if I'm the employer of Rodger. Roger IS an asset. The only negative I can give is about the dispatch/customer service. When I asked if there is a way if I can get a ride back with the tow truck, the dispatch lady was a little rude. Stranded on off ramp off the 5 freeway near Gustine about noon. Called my insurance company and they connected me with Newman City Tow. Very soon and after them contacting me to update their situation and arrival time, Ignacio arrived. Checked out the car. Pulled my car onto his truck and we were on our way to my house in Atwater. He asked my permission to stop and help someone who had locked herself out of her car about 2 minutes off our path. Knowing how I would want his help for that problem sooner than later I said sure. Took him about 2 minutes to find the car and another 2 minutes to get her into her car. She was so happy. Arrived at my front yard safe and sound. The driver was very nice, very knowledgeable and very service minded. He gave me a card for the three City Tow services in my area. I will ask for them anytime I need quick, courteous service. read more

Hopefully, you will never need a tow truck. But, if you happen to break down on the freeway, and happen to need a tow, and happen to be in the middle of nowhere, and your tow is over 100 miles, you cannot do better than having this tow truck company get the call. It's great to have the friendliest tow truck driver ever (Mr. E.) to keep you company. City tow of newman left us stuck, in the side of I-5 for two hours before 6am, because the one truck on duty couldnt come out of town because chp and city police calls took priority. Aka they pay better. Dutras towing out of los banos came all the way to us even though we were only 5 miles from newman and rescued us and got us to a repair center. read more

First off, I didn't choose this service, the CHP called them when I was stuck on the road. I would warn anyone about doing business with this company if you can avoid it. First of all, I was charged 150.00 for the quick tire change, since CHP called and it was considered a priority call-meaning they can overcharge, because what can you really do about it?My car was damaged by them when getting a tire changed on the I 5, and they have refused to take responsibility. I had the unfortunate need for a tow truck today but was blessed with the arrival of Newman City Tow. The truck was there well ahead of the 30 minute ETA and the young man (I'm so disappointed I didn't get his name) was quick and efficient. Very happy to share our positive experience. We needed our car towed to a repair shop on a monday morning. Our insurance company sent two tow companies and both were unable to load the car, because its a bmw and has some modification. I am an Agent for State Farm Insurance, last night I had my first experience calling the State Farm 800 # for roadside assistance and I was fortunate to be assigned to Newman City Tow. I had a blow out on the i5 north of Santa Nella around 8 PM. I was alone, in the dark with big rigs rumbling past me at a high rate of speed and I have to admit, a little nervous.
