They have a large variety of pastries and baked goods. I got a couple of danishes and a muffin for my husband. Everything was yummy. Will definitely return to try others items in the case.

The prices also are much more expensive, so it's disappointing to pay more for less essentially. It is cute inside, and the designs were still great but sadly, this bakery is not the same and not as delicious. We also asked if they could put buttercream on a sugar cut out cookie, as the old French's used to do that- their buttercream was delicious, and the lady working the register said "I' m sorry, we no longer do that." While I understand this bakery is (unfortunately) not the one that used to be there at this location, I don't understand why buttercream cannot be applied to a cookie.. we are at a bakery aren't we? Aren't bakeries supposed to have buttercream? Quite confusing that that customer service was not there either. A side of frosting to purchase could have been offered or just a small dollop could have been applied but apparently this bakery cannot accommodate a frosting request.

They had a number which I called and the person on the other end gave a number which I could text more details about what I needed, for how many, my name, etc. Since they were driving and couldn't take my order at the moment I made sure to provide as much info and the time/day. I put the order 5 days before I said it needed it and they agreed it can be done by then. I thought it was easy and I just followed it up with the change of topping on the cake. I explicitly stated to text me if they needed anything else from me since I have never done this before. I probably should've followed them up, but I was busy that week. Since I didn't hear anything afterwards I thought I had secured my order. The day I come to pick up the cake, they tell me they don't have the order. The lady who I spoke to, who I'm assuming was on the phone when I initially called, is telling me I put a request not an order and that I didn't even provide my full name (not true, I did). I'm being told that I shouldve put down a deposit and have a contract with them for the cake. I wasn't provided with any contract or a Zelle username. If I had that information I would've absolutely done it. As a business you should provide the customer with that sort of information. I had no idea and I wasn't told that thru text. Should I have followed up? Absolutely, i know that now. There's no information on the website about a contract or deposit information. Only the phone number that I first called. So they should probably update that if they have so many orders and can't keep track with request. There was a lot of deflection from the lady when i tried to explain my grievance. No apology either for the confusion. I felt crazy because I thought I might've missed their messages. Nope nothing. Only the Zelle information after I had arrive there. Luckily, they had puff pastry ready and told me they could have the cake ready in 15 min, and I really needed the cake so I agree to still do business. When I got the cake it was still warm and they told me to freeze it in my refrigerator for it to set. 15 min to get to my place and the ganache has melted off the top and custard had already spilled out from the sides. I had a long drive afterwards and not even an insulated bag could save it. It did taste good, it's too bad about communication, and everything else.

The staff are humble and exceedingly friendly which is becoming more and more rare as prices in the OC soar beyond tolerable levels. However if you have a few extra dollars in your pocket, spend them on the lovely chocolate or raspberry cream walnut croissants at this place. Airy and light but flavorful bundles of joy! I also ordered the delectable chocolate cake, which was not too sweet. 4 layers of cake and filling. You can actually taste the chocolate in the light layers. One can still imagine the affection imbued into their baked goods as you enjoy them. Unlike many of the others nearby who have crossed into "it's just a business" mentality. Sometimes, the Tropical Coconut can be slightly dry, but it was perfectly moist when I had it this past weekend. They had a really cute May 4th Grogu cake on display and I just think that they not only make delicious cakes, but their cake decorating skills are on point! SusieCakes is worth the splurge!

The result was the male sales representative with a beard rolling their eyes and yelling at me - what's the last name! I'm positive Mothers Day is a very busy day for you all, but no one should be on the receiving end of that type of sass from anyone, especially after paying close to $100 for a 6" inch cake. It definitely killed the excitement for the gender reveal with this cake tainted with attitude.

I wasn't sure if she would have that many selections upon entering the store but she did! They offered awesome deals.
