From the design to the delivery to the taste, everything was perfect. The cake was not only beautiful but also delicious. I got so many compliments. I highly recommend her!

The custom cake I ordered was moist and delicious with fresh strawberry filling. My family noted specifically that it wasn't too sweet which was great. It was my aunt and uncle's 50th birthday and he's obsessed with Clash Royale so I decided to get him the o.g. Clash of Clans cake. SJ took the photos I sent her and beautifully executed, even down to the wood grain detail. My uncle loved it. SJ was very thorough in answering all my questions and addressed each of my quote needs. I have been ordering here for about 2 years now and I can tell you the quality of the product has always even superb! I personally do eat eggs but have a lot of vegetarian friends that don't so she has become my go to for eggless cupcakes and cakes. And I'll tell you, you can't even taste the difference!!!! The cake is super moist and chocolaty you don't even know it's missing it! I orders some flower cupcakes for a friends birthday and as you can see she did a phenomenal job! SJ is an awesome baker here in Irvine. I have ordered a few cakes from her now and she always delivers exactly what I ordered. SJ is very creative, courteous, and pays attention to all of the details as she is very aware that you are ordering a cake for special occasions and she understands that details are important to people. Her prices are very reasonable and her cakes taste amazing. Even days after we purchased, the leftovers still tasted like freshly baked cake. She can make cakes for all of your occasions. Whether it be a small cake for a small party, or a very large multi tiered cake for your larger occasions. Don't hesitate to check with her regarding your cake requirements. Love that she is here in Irvine helping our local community. Please keep in mind that SJ is an owner of a small business which is great. Most people have no clue what that entails, as SJ has to handle sales, marketing, purchasing, customer service, accounting, deliveries, and obviously the actual cake production...all on her own! She typically responds to email or text very quickly but please be patient with her as she is very busy. Best to give her at least 7-10 days of lead time but keep in mind, earlier is always better. read more

We hired Shraddha 2 months before our wedding to help create us a 2-tier wedding cake, and couldn't be happier with our decision. A majority of our communication were through text or phone calls, and in all instances, Shraddha has been very reliable. Shradha was amazing to work with!! We were having a small wedding reception (only 20 guests). I called several different bakers to get quotes and ask about gluten-free options (my best friend is gluten-intolerant and I can't leave her without dessert!). I was getting ridiculously expensive quotes telling me the smallest cake they could make would feed 40+ people and several bakers told me they couldn't do gluten-free and try to buy some cupcakes at Trader Joe's. Shradha was the most responsive and seemed so easy to work with. Her quote was so much lower than I had expected. Since she works out of her home, she was very flexible about what I needed. We decided to go with a 2-tiered cake 6" and 8" round plus a dozen gluten-free cupcakes. I let my husband to-be pick one flavor while I picked strawberry for the second tier...he picked BANANA. Have you ever heard of banana wedding cake in your life?! Shradha chuckled when I asked her about the banana flavored cake and told me it was doable. She used fresh banana purée for the batter and filled with buttercream and toasted almonds. It turned out delicious! I was very impressed by her creativity to make banana cake so delicious. It ended up being quite the hit at our reception. The cake was super moist and so yummy. Many of my guests have asked for the number so they can use SJs custom cakes for their next party! Almost all the decorations were non-edible plastic ornaments, paper printouts, and pre-made models rather than handcrafted sugar work or fondant. For this price, I expected artisanal craftsmanship, not a collection of plastic balls and paper toppers. Once you strip away the non-edible parts, you are left with a basic chiffon cake that tastes no different from a $40 cake at a standard Asian bakery. The massive markup seems to be for the "styling" of plastic toys rather than the actual baking or artistry. It felt like paying a premium for a cake that I had to "disassemble" just to eat.

This experience just made me prefer takeout more, but I think my tourists wanted air conditioning and there was not enough outdoor seating for our party. Maybe next time I can eat a quantity more befitting of a smaller party.

We communicated via email and phone conversations. Her pricing was very reasonable and we worked over the details for about a week. SJ Custom Cakes are as customized as you can get. I ordered for my husband's 40th birthday with a unique theme Cricket, it was so beautifully made that everybody at the party raved on about. Since then , it is our one stop shop for any occasion cakes. I've ordered numerous cakes with various themes, fashion designer teenager, Harry Porter , Hawaiian and each one was made it beautifully. Shradda made an amazing cake for my daughter's 10th birthday. It was a dance theme and she made a two tier cake with a disco ball on top and dancing people around the cake. She has different flavors and themes for a variety of desserts and accepts even last-minute requests and is an extremely wonderful person to be around.
