Sailing a boat when you live in Las Vegas but your boat is moored in Long Beach can be challenging in the best of circumstances. I knew that it was best to hire someone trustworthy , knowledgeable, and helpful.. Mark Davenport was a Godsend. My husband who was the sailor passed away suddenly in April 2020 and Mark was compassionate and very helpful. He saw me through the entire process from viewing the boat and telling me what needed to be done to make the boat presentable to sell for tge best sales price.He checked on the boat several times in the 2 month process letting me know if anything was amiss .. Mark alerted me to tell me when the person who washed my boat and also my bottom cleaner neglected my boat. He found me a person to wax my boat, a Captain for the Seatrial. Mark handled all the negotiating and was always on my side and honest when he needed to be. I downed sized from a 26' CC and was worried about channel crossings and how a 21' boat would handle it. This little boat handles our local waters better than my 26'! Boat feels like a much larger boat and cuts through chop like a knife. The swim platforms on the stern really make this a great boat at anchor. We go to EBay and other coves often and drop the anchor for a fun day. These swim platforms add extra deck space when on the hook, great place to sit with feet in the water. Also nice for diving, great platform to throw fins, mask and gear on when coming out of the water. Boat is a Swiss Army knife and does just about everything on the water very well. I am now a Grady White customer for life!!

He was always readily reachable and flexible with our scheduling, surveys, and haul outs. After the closing of the deal, there was a miscommunication (most likely our fault) about how long we would be able to keep the boat in its current slip. A week prior to our planned relocation, Jay informed us that the lease for the slip was up that day. We were panicked, with nowhere to keep the boat for at least a couple days. Without batting an eye, Jay went to the boat and moved it to their brokerage dock until we could sort out the relocation. Thank you, Jay, for going above and beyond and turning a stressful situation into a seamless one. 10/10 would do business with this company again.

They hide them on the docks and keep them locked up when they are not even there. It is not clear to me what they need 2 - 3 dock carts for since these boats stay in a slip all the time, but if this is the way they treat their neighbors, I would not trust them to sell my yacht, and would not trust them to broker a purchase. The pic was taken on a busy Sunday morning in summer when they are closed, and dock carts are difficult to come by.

When a prospective buyer found my boat independently, I offered to reschedule the showing so the broker could attend; he told me he was unavailable for several days and instructed me to show it myself -- then later suggested I'd breached the contract for doing exactly that. We mutually agreed to cancel the listing. I'd encourage other sellers to look elsewhere.
