So I came here for my friends birthday and everything was fun and fine. We're all on a boat to have a good time and literally party. There's a dance floor on the second level and top level is great for photos. There's also a great photo op on the second floor of the boat outside. They also have a bathroom on board and a cash bar. Everything was smooth sailing until we were trying to leave and there was a whole water situation. Our group brought a big pack of water on board because partying requires hydration. The captain took our water and then gave us a pack of Dasani water that we did not ask for. We had some generic brand of water. As we were trying to leave and grab the water we brought on board. We were met with resistance and aggression from the captain. I have no idea what happened or why the captain was being so difficult and rude but he was over us. I don't believe we made a mess anywhere and I mean we were celebrating a birthday. I just don't understand why we were met with resistance when we were trying to get our water back. I definitely think the situation could have been handled a lot better (and a lot more chill) if we just got our waters that we brought on the boat. There wasn't a policy in place that said we weren't allowed to have our own water. Our group was large and everyone on the boat bought drinks and tipped well so I'm just confused why we could hydrate with our own pack of water. Anyways, I really appreciate the price this company has set for their boat ride but they were also trying to charge us an extra $700 for an extra hour (would have been a total of 3 hours) on top of the price they already charged us.. which was ridiculous so we opted "nah fam". I do wish my experience could have been better and met with less resistance and anger. I didn't appreciate the bad energy at the end or the yelling the captain provided. Luckily, it was a great group and we were all very easy going once we got off the boat the energy was way better. The birthday party started fantastic! It was a great day on the marina with my favorite people. We thought we got a deal because we got a decently priced boat that allowed us to bring Costco pizza onboard along with a Kirkland pack of waters. There were 3 levels on the boat and we could play our own music as long as we had a phone that could take an aux. We were purchasing drinks from the bar, dancing, and eating some good pizza. They took our water from us and put it behind the bar. Throughout the excursion they were giving us Dasani bottles when we requested our waters. We thought it was strange but didn't say anything about it. At the end of the trip, we tried to leave and take our Kirkland pack of waters. They refused to give it to us saying they gave us their water (Dasani waters we don't like and didn't request). They even tried to charge us $2 per Kirkland water when we finished the small Dasani pack and had to go into our larger Kirkland pack. We stopped taking water on the boat and figured we just grab our water on the end. All of this was totally strange but we just went with it until it blew up in the end. When trying to take our water off the boat with us they said they already dispersed it to us. We said we brought Kirkland and they gave us Dasani. Then they said they would call the police on us for stealing boat water?!?!?! We said call them our name is LITERALLY on the case of water. The boat driver (TREVOR) forcibly wrestled the case of water from my friend and said "f*ck you f*ggot". One of my friends said woah there's no reason to say that and the boat driver pretended that my friend hit him. It is honestly the most crazy, unprofessional, and insane thing that has ever happened to us. We paid thousands of dollars to charter this boat and they fought us for our OWN case of water. The boat is great, the captain, 1st mate and bar tender were all great. The one star review is in relation to the owner who we had to deal with once the booking deposit had been paid. During the booking process at no point we're we informed that the occupancy numbers had been reduced. Their website still mentioned a certified occupancy of 100 people of which I planned the event for (this has now been changed) As we got closer to the event I questioned the max occupancy as I had started to get above 100 people interested only to be informed that it had been reduced to 50 due to covid, even though all covid restrictions had been removed by that time. I was told that it was out of the owners hands and that it was due to the Newport harbor master. I called the harbor master and was Informed that there were no occupancy restrictions and if the boat was certified for 100 people they could have that number on board. Being excited for the owner I informed him of this only to be told that it's the coast guard that have the restrictions in place as it was a federal regulation. I google searched and could not find this info anywhere so I requested that I be sent this so that I could let everyone missing out know why. I copped a barrage of verbal abuse for even asking. Eventually he emailed me a 40 page document from the coast guard. This was a massive smoke screen as I read through it and the restrictions it Mentioned were in relation to boats with an occupancy over 500 people that dock over night. Both of which this boat doesn't do. When bringing this up with the owner he threatened to just cancel the event. Long story short everything with the boat is great but the owner is just a straight up liar!!! Be wary read more

It was a little difficult for my friends to figure out the online booking, but once we got these it was smooth sailing. I messaged Trevor today to ask a few questions cause it was not clear to why only 50 people Max when the post said 80 passenger yacht . I was willing to pay extra and everything. So once I asked the question as to why it said 80 passengers but I was told different I then got a notification that my reservation was canceled without any notice. I paid the whole thing upfront so even if I was asking why it say 80 but I was told 50 we were still going to go on the yacht no matter what. Not one to complain but this Charter for the Christmas Parade was not a boat you want to go on. Just so unorganized just to get on. Once we got on, the Christmas lights they put on the boat were half working. No music which would have been nice for the Christmas environment. Went to go get us a drink and come to find out that we are only allowed well drinks for the drink ticket they gave us and would have to pay extra. Not a big deal but the next drinks were $10.00 each for a small glass. The entire time the boat was listing to the left. The thing that sucked was that once we pulled out of the dock we only my went about a 1/2 mile down and sat still for the remaining time and smelled the gas fumes. There was so much to see in front of us but we just sat there, turned around and went back. Just look at your options before you book this Charter. read more

Trevor, the owner of the yacht, just left me hanging for my 50th birthday on this yacht scheduled for October 2018. After having this event planned for over 6 months with him and his yacht, he now tells me that he doesn't want to do my event!!! I'm within 30 days of holding this event!! WHAT A MAJOR JACKASS!!! After months of not communicating with me, I had to call him to find out about rental of chairs/tables and so forth, then out of the blue, he just says; "I don't want to this event, I'll put you in touch with another one of my guys to help you!" He was not even concerned about bailing on me at the last minute! HE WAS NOT APOLOGETIC, JUST A MAJOR JERK! WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT?? He kept answering me with "I don't know, "maybe". I had to ask him why he was being so vague? He just blurted out, I don't want to do this event for you! After 4 months of non communication from him, I had to initiate the call to see the status of my event planning... Bait and switch. I purchased a Groupon for the holiday lights tour and, a few hours before our cruise, received an email saying we had to pay an additional $20 in taxes IN CASH. So shady. When I refused to pay the taxes, they told me I couldn't get on the boat. I ended up paying so that my kids wouldn't miss out, but I plan to take it up on Groupon. Much like the other reviews of this place, we've called over and over, been on hold for over an hour once our call was picked up (but never returned to), and filled out the website reservation form for the Christmas Light cruse 3x, with no conformation ever being sent. Dealing with getting a refund through Groupon now, will see what happens. And for "Trevor" saying its Groupon's error, it's this companies problem for agreeing to the deal with Groupon, then deciding they didn't or couldn't follow through with it. I had the same problem as Michael K. I ordered tickets through Groupon thinking we were getting to see the Boat Parade. When we arrived I had to pay an additional $10 for some kind of taxes. We went next door to wait and found out that there was no Boat Parade. When we went back to ask about it we were told it was a Groupon issue and we were out of luck. Went on a very enjoyable 90 minute harbor cruise on a beautiful day. Got Groupon deal, which included a drinks. Check in hostess was friendly and engaging, and she also joined criise as bartender. Captain was friendly too. Boat was clean and nice. It is not as big as other boats and tours, but allowed us to go nearer to homes. Music was good and drinks were well prepared. I was not aware that children were allowed on the boat. My husband and I went on a Saturday night and there were children in the bar area. We were sitting at a table(for 2 people) when a child sitting next to us, kicked our table and knocked over our drinks. The parents did not offer to replace our drinks so we were left paying for another round of drinks. The cruise is very nice. The people who run the business are very sweet but if you don't mind children running through the ship including the bar area, this is not for you. read more

Dixie cup size drinks, rude office staff, and to top it off they made a false promise saying our kids will get priority for shelter if it rains... Nope! We had an excellent experience on a Sunday "brunch" tour this past weekend. I did use a Groupon voucher. I requested a reservation online and had to wait 24 hours to get a confirmation; however, unlike other reviewers I did not have an issue completing the online request form nor did I have an issue NOT receiving a confirmation--I just had to wait the 24 hours they tell you to wait. Once I was confirmed I received a confirmation email that told me all of the information I needed to know about the parking and the on-site parking fee, the $2/person tax they are required to collect, what time to arrive, etc. The "brunch" is really nothing--a serving tray of mini croissants and fresh fruit, plus some cheese and bread slices, but we didn't really book for the food anyway--just so folks are aware of what they mean by the "light continental brunch" that comes with your ticket. You get one drink ticket with your purchase--that was fine for us. The tour itself was very relaxing--we sat outside and it was a beautiful, warm sunny day. Loved looking at all of the yachts and homes along the harbor. Would recommend for a relaxing 2 hour tour of Newport Beach harbor. read more

This was a TERRIBLE experience. We tried to call the company to inquire about availability only to be told that they only communicate through e-mail. When we arrived, we also got charged the $10 "tax" which was a total ripoff. Then we got on the boat and the "captain" who barely spoke English was extremely rude. BUYER BEWARE! Bought 4 tickets for $88on Groupon. The day of reservation, I get an email telling me they charge $5 per person in taxes at time of arrival. I email them and tell them that I have no problem paying tax on my purchase at 9% ( Newport Beach sales tax). But I will not pay 22.75%. I said that's ridiculous. I kindly asked for a refund. They stopped emailing me back. Being that I won't be getting a refund. We went. Paid $10 for parking. Get there at check in...Give them my name and the girl immediately gives me attitude. Mind you...I decided not to make a scene and said nothing about the taxes. So the attitude was based on my emails. We brought coats and umbrellas. It poured and it was to windy to use the umbrellas. Not enough seating under the covers. Left soaked and freezing. No offer to refund or free ticket. The 4 tickets ended up costing a total of $118. Two weeks ago we went on a whale watch trip. No taxes, no rain, a little cold and no whale sighting. They gave all of us free tickets to return. Now that's a quality company. read more
