I was pushed to schedule an appointment for a physical in 4 months; 10/19/2018 at 8:30am was the appointment issued to me. On 10/12/2018 at 5:48pm I received a text asking me to confirm this appointment. I replied "yes" to confirm at 7:46pm & received a "your appointment is confirmed" in response (immediately). On 10/17/2018 at 5:57pm I received an additional text asking me to confirm this appointment. I replied "yes" to confirm at 6:09pm & received a "your appointment is confirmed" immediately in response. Today I arrived for my appointment at 8:20am & signed in. I sat & watched 3 people who arrived after me get checked in. 40 minutes later I stood up to ask why this was & the receptionist finally called my name (part of me wonders how long I would have waited had I not started to approach the counter). She then explained that my doctor wasn't in that day. I don't know why they kept me waiting 40 min to tell me that & I explained I was missing work I could ill afford to miss. I asked why I received two confirmation texts if the appointment wasn't available but all she would do is assure me she could get me in "right away" to see another provider in the network if that was acceptable. I verified whether I was going to have to wait because time is an issue for me & was again reassured that it was no problem. I wait a couple of minutes & get invited into the back office but the assistant then explains that there are two appointments ahead of me & they can only fit me in as time allows. I don't know why the explanation changed from 2 minutes ago & I explain, again, that I'm already missing work I can't afford to miss. She apologizes but doesn't offer any explanations for the change in situation from literally minutes ago. I ask, again, why I received two confirmation texts for the appointment but she couldn't answer that, either. I had to leave & I'll have to seek another network that perhaps values its patients' time a little more. Rest assured, had I canceled my appointment last minute, there would have been a fee but when a doctor cancels, there's no explanation & little courtesy.

Dr. Saad had great reviews and many years of experience and when we saw how well she was able to work with our child who had an ear infection we knew we would be seeing her for the foreseeable future. The office is very clean and they even have different entrances for sick patients vs. Not. The staff is super friendly and our son quickly made friends with everyone there! There is plenty of parking, but the only problem is that it can take about 15-20 minutes to get to the correct third floor entrance from the parking lot on a quiet day. We would recommend arriving to the parking structure at least 30 minutes just to be on the safe side. Overall we were very satisfied with the care and service of PVMG!

Literally will answer any question and even scheduled a telehealth as a follow up when I changed medications. Valet is free for anyone with a disabled placard. Outpatient services, diagnostic, imaging, nuclear studies are mostly handled by the Outpatient Center in the REAR of the hospital at 5215 Torrance Bl (the main entrance address is 4101 Torrance Bl). Confirm before you arrive or you'll likely have a long trek to get to the right location. The salad bar in the café is decent in a pinch, especially if you don't want to leave the property for a meal. Self parking is free, but it's busy and it will often be blocked to incoming traffic because the lots are...full. Patience is necessary. Staff is friendly and helpful, which was welcome when I took a wrong turn out of the elevators. Instead of checking my insurance immediately, the front-desk staff had me complete approximately 15 pages of new-patient paperwork. After I finished everything and waited another 15 minutes, I was finally told that the clinic was not in network with my insurance. This was incredibly frustrating and upsetting because insurance coverage was the very first question I asked before coming in. My sick toddler and I lost valuable time when he needed to be seen as quickly as possible. It would have taken only a few minutes to verify the insurance before requiring me to complete extensive paperwork. Perhaps the doctor provides excellent care, but the staff needs better training on how to handle urgent situations involving young, sick children. There was no sense of urgency, compassion, or respect for our time. Based on this experience, I would not recommend bringing your child here as a new patient without independently confirming your insurance coverage first.

This can be challenging if you're receiving care from both hospital systems. Overall- if you're comfortable with all these aspects of care, the caliber of medical care rendered here is very good.
