These guys were great. I have a small, novelty "vintage radio" audio device given to me by my husband for our wedding anniversary. It came with a tf card crammed with old time radio shows. I get a kick out of listening to old "Dragnet," "Gunsmoke," "Johnny Dollar" and more while I do jigsaw puzzles. Not too long after receiving it, the charging dock on the back of the device became unable to hold the usb charging plug. Unable to recharge it, or even keep it connected to the ac outlet, it was either fix the device or toss it. I had two suspicions, both of which RCR allayed: 1. It would cost more than it was worth to fix it, and 2. The repair guys wouldn't want to bother with a cheap little device. As for 1., RCR fixed my "radio" for $25. It would have cost at least that much to buy a new one. I could have done that, but this is the one Darling Hubby gave me; I wanted to keep, and use, this one. The guys warned me that the part to fix it might cost more, but in the end, the whole deal, part and labor, was $25. Money well spent, I say. As for 2., it comes with a precedent: 20+ years ago, before we were married, Darling Hubby gave me a lovely pendant, a large crystal on an expensive rhodium chain. I loved it, and still do. Because the crystal was originally intended to be hung in a window as a sun catcher, it did not have a good jump ring attaching it to the chain. I took it to a jeweler (different town, different state) and asked if he could rectify that. He glanced at my pendant and said indifferently, "We don't do costume jewelry." Ooooh, that riled me. I do costume jewelry, and I do fine jewelry, but I never went back to him for it. He badly overlooked the value of sentiment; I would have paid plenty to ensure Darling Hubby's gift was secure on the chain. I was pretty sure the RCR repair guys would look at my little fake radio and laugh. It certainly isn't "fine jewelry." I was completely wrong. They picked it up, admired it, listened to my tale of it being a cherished gift, even thought it was pretty cool to listen to old time radio on it. They warned me it could, indeed, cost more than it was worth to fix it, but they thought it was worth trying. I felt comfortable leaving it with them. The very next morning, they called and said it was ready to for me to pick up, and only $25. It's charging up and working fine, now. That was great service! One more thing I really appreciated about RCR, they were easy to find. Though they're one of several shops in a multi-shop building, they make sure you'll find them with plenty of signs pointing the way, starting with a sandwich board on the sidewalk out on Main Street. Took in my PS4 and they did diagnose it, great. I was told they didn't take it apart, but when I went to pick it up was told it would be 30 minutes (rushed) to put it back together. I had to take it back in because the disc drive wasn't sitting right and the disc wasn't coming out properly. I was told a screw had to be adjusted, when said screw "wasn't touched". I end up taking it apart myself to clean and warranty tap was ripped, and inside screws were missing. read more

These guys are awesome! Great communication. I tried to save myself a few bucks by changing the battery on my pad mini 4. I changed it fine but nicked a small corner damaging the digitizer. Trying to fix that and getting angry I burned out couple of things on the motherboard. These guys fixed the motherboard and put a new LCD display during the last summer and within 2 weeks, it might of been earlier than that actually. iPad works just like new. Maybe the LCD isnt as crisp but blame apple over that. Point is let the pros do it and save yourselves hundreds. And these guys can fix your motherboard and more. read more
