Needed to have two pendant lights installed over the kitchen island. My son had tried to unsuccessfully install them and stripped the head of a screw. Since I had electricians coming over, I also wanted help in replacing a recessed lightbulb in our 20 foot high entryway as I don't have a tall enough ladder. I contacted a number of highly rated providers here, but many seemed to indicate that all of this would require a lot of work which I knew instinctively shouldn't. The stripped head would be an extra $$ or installing the lighbulb would be an extra $$. Yes, these things do require a little more time which should make it a little more expensive, but not to the extent of the quotes I got. In comes Next Level, with a reasonable quote and a willingness to help. I will say that they were a little bit late coming, but when they arrived, they were friendly, professional, and got the job done FAST! I had a disappointing customer service experience. I called to get a general price range for recessed lighting, a chandelier installation, and adding a microwave outlet. I was clear that we don't yet have access to the house and that I was only looking for a rough estimate, not a formal quote. While I understand that an in-person walkthrough is needed for exact pricing, the person I spoke with became rude, talked at me, and raised his voice while repeatedly stating he couldn't provide quotes without seeing the house. When I asked why he was raising his voice, he said it was because people always call like this -- which felt unfair and inappropriate. I told him I understand but that that that this was my first call with this company and that I was simply trying to understand whether their pricing was in line with other electricians who were able to give ballpark ranges over the phone. His company also owns their own scaffolding which no other electrician I contacted could provide, and they have a large portfolio of hanging heavy chandeliers. I had lots of questions and he was sure to address all of them. He provided a very reasonable quote and also included a list of variables that may be encountered during the install. On the day of the project Jonathan, Arturo, and Martin showed up and were able to get the whole project done in less than a day which I was really impressed with. We used them for installing our chandelier and outdoor ring light that needed help as it was hard wired and we didn't have an existing light fixture outside. Don't do business with this guy unless you apparently have a big job. I was looking for the installation of one outlet and agreed to his price. He cancelled on me 3 times. He also screamed and hung up on me mid call when he asked me if he could show up 2 hours earlier than the agreed time because it didn't fit his window. I would have figured something out with him except he called the night before when we agreed on our original time slot 4 days prior and he didn't bother to mention I needed to book in a 3 hour window for him. Three words to describe the customer service experience here, "W.T.F?" If you are looking for good installation with an arrogant customer service, go for it. I had to cancel the appointment with them because from time and time again they were rude and could not arrive on time. My appointment kept getting pushed back, when I am the customer accommodating my own work schedule during the holidays. Again, "W.T.F." I am writing an honest review here so no one else has to experience the hassle I went through, which was driving back and forth to meet with them to find out they can't show up for another few hours. A little HEADS UP, would've been nice and respectful. When I tried to reschedule, gave me bs time frame, pushing it wayyyy back like few weeks away from the actual appt day when they were the ones that wanted to change the time schedule last min. Maybe if I was getting a couple huge chandeliers installed they would've been nicer and made it a priority so they can post the photos. Just don't go to them for recessed lights. I don't do well with people that can't show up on time, can't communicate well with clients, and are absolutely inconsiderate of other people's schedules. Good Luck. read more

I just have to say this is a great customer service company. I had a friend use them about 3 years ago for some ceiling light. I like to job they at his house so I called them for a qoute. The price was very reasonable and they came and installed ceilng lights and light switches in my family room, loft and bedrooms. That was about a 18 months ago. Just recently a three lights in the family room weren't turning on until about after 5 minutes of the light switch being on. I called up Next Level Lighting told them about the lights being wierd not turn on right away. They asked me to send pics. He then texted me and asked if saturday would be ok to have someone come down ( which was two days later). They came and changed the 3 lights and informed me they were on warranty for 5 years. No hassle or fighting they just did it. The next day they texted and followed up to make sure everything was working and how the service call went. This was my second time having Next Level install recessed lighting in our home. They did a great job in 2015 so I didn't hesitate to contact them again. The first time they came out for an estimate, I accidentally locked myself out of the place and wasn't able to let the employee in (lol)! He was very gracious and understanding about it and the office rescheduled for another estimate right away. Steve was the point person and he was responsive by next day and night, which I very much appreciated. I reached out on 4/6 for a quote and began working with steve on some preliminary numbers, then we scheduled an appointment for 4/11. on the afternoon of 4/10, steve reached out to reschedule stating a tech had called out. I guess not a big deal, we rescheduled for 4/16. the tech ended up coming and we scheduled a service date for 4/26. today less than 24 hours before the service time steve let us know we needed to reschedule. no remorse or apology besides "I've got 2 guys that have called off I hadn't anticipated loosing" and claiming he would call other companies to help. by 7 pm I still hadn't heard back from anyone. we needed this service done so we could have our appliance up and running by this weekend but I guess not anymore. I'm second-guessing if these 1500 reviews are legitimate customers who've actually paid for services done. do your own due diligence before contacting. read more
