Silva Electric was my final search for a quote. Angelo came to the house to provide a quote for my projects. What he did differently than the other companies was that he itemized each project rather than give me one big bill. I had a carpet cleaner who plugged his equipment into my wall socket, and as a result, two circuits blew in my house, one of which controlled my fridge. I called Silva Electric in the afternoon, and Eugene told me that it's a problem that was familiar to him and he could fix it. He quoted me a price, but said he couldn't be here until the next day. That was before he knew that the fridge was one of my issues and it was a built-in, so couldn't easily be plugged into another outlet. At that point, he told me that he could break away from the job he was working on to get it taken care of today, but there would be a (very reasonable) surcharge. When I told him that was fine, he was at the house 45 minutes later, and solved the issue in 15 minutes. It was refreshing and pleasant working with someone who not only knows his trade very well, but communicated his familiarity with the issue, gave me a price up front, showed up when expected, and solved the problem. Michael said that most customers don't want to get them even if required. So he couldn't even give me a price to include pulling permits. They basically don't want to do it.
