Came here to celebrate my birthday with a friend. I chose this restaurant because it has a nice atmosphere. The service was great however prices are definitely on the higher end. The one thing I didn't realize is that their menu changed compared to what I saw online a few months before. I didn't like how there weren't many choices for mains especially when it comes to pasta. Both of us just ended up getting a Wagyu burger with fries because nothing else seemed appealing. For appetizer we ordered adobo fried chicken wings. I personally found the wings to be overly salted. They offered me a free dessert for my birthday which I didn't expect, it was very nice of them. I would recommend this place for celebrations.

Came here on a Saturday night; dinner here is perfect for any date night or girls night out! Ambiance feels really classy and calm; and the service is great! Our waitress made sure to keep checking in on us throughout the night. Food is really great as well! Everything is made in-house I believe, so it took some time for it to come out, but tasted incredible. We got to meet the chef, who explained what each dish was, which was a cool experience! We stayed for several hours after finishing our meal, and they let us stay despite getting close to closing time. Also, if you give them a 5-star review on Google, you can get free truffle fries, haha!

I think I enjoyed their regular menu more than the new Filipino inspired dishes. Everything was presented nicely but were mostly lacking a little bit of that je ne sais quoi to make things extra special. I've definitely had dishes from here that were super amazing before. The ambiance is always nice here. The hostess always super nice. A few times we asked for something and the wait staff forgot but it must've been a long day. Always a great spot to go to get together with friends! Definitely going back but not for this featured menu in particular.

Went seeking a restaurant that my mom would love for her birthday that I would also be able to eat at being a vegan and all. They have one vegan main dish on the menu and it is honestly not normally something I would have gone for but it truly knocked my socks off. The "salmon" has the texture of actual salmon it really throws one for a loop when you aren't expecting it. My non-vegan wife even wanted to give it a try it was so convincing! The restaurant is absolutely stunning inside and incredibly large. Very roomy and can accommodate large parties if needed. The staff are very helpful and when I informed them it was my mom's birthday they even brought her out a piece of cake with a sparkler. They are very sweet and helpful, very willing to go above and beyond. Well worth the stop in.

Their brunch towers are pretty good even though the prices have gone up. Their pancake flavors are different everyday and the waiter will let you what their flavor of the day is before you place your order. We had here for dinner as well and had their Thursday special. $50 for one main, appetizer and dessert. I would recommend getting the lamb saddle, the sauce that came with it was amazing. I also really enjoyed the pork wonton nachos They have two different dining areas with lots of seats. They also do events and thing like that as well! They have different daily specials everyday so definitely worth checking out!

I don't recall coming here before; it's been so long. Finally able to dine out and enjoying an alcoholic beverage after a year on the patio. I have to say, the choices on the menu don't appeal to me as much, but I did enjoy the burger and truffle fries. While my friend had the Okonomiyaki Cheeseburger, which did look delicious. The service was great; they are very attentive. For an outside patio, it isn't as loud, and you can enjoy the breeze while chatting with your friends.

I came here for brunch. It was really busy the entire restaurant was filled. Service was good, they constantly filled my coffee and water. The food took a bit of time, likely because it was really busy. This place is in historic unionville. The place was modern/contemporary decorated. This place is definitely a go to fill your belly.

Love the brunch tower idea so much! It's more than enough food for two people! The bacon was a bit harder to bite, but the Malaysian style eggs were delicious. The ube pancakes were the special for this day and they were perfectly fluffy. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner, our server was awesome as well. Much larger restaurant I expected with a high table area and a low seating area.

Set in a beautiful location Nextdoor offers top of the line friendly service and some very interesting culinary options

Came here for brunch on Saturday morning with a friend. There were no spots available for reservation through their website but they thankfully had spots available for walk-in! The Parking lot there is quite full most of the time so be prepared to park a little bit further. We ordered their brunch tower for two ($58) and loved that there was lots of variety for sweet and savoury. I loved that there was uniqueness and plenty of food compared to other brunch spots in the area. We even had some leftovers to take home because we were so stuffed after. The outside patio was nice for the summer as you get to take in the quaint unionville main street vibes and the nice weather. The staff were awesome, and helpful as well. Would be back again

Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning with no reservation, had to wait for a bit for a table. Great ambiance, loved the food and drinks, matcha latte wasn't overly sweet so that was good, the foods were filling and satisfying. Great service despite it being a busy place!

Another fun brunch place uptown just off Main Street Unionville. It's easy to make a reservation here and the menu is whimsical and fun, so this is a go to spot we're trying to make a brunch date. Portion sizes are also pretty generous.

Back to why I do this. I'm endlessly curious about food, people, and the magic that happens when great meals meet good music. Friendships just seem to evolve naturally around a table. And thank you, E, for another incredible photo -- your choices are always perfect. Mercado on St. Clair is a hidden gem. What was once beside my mom's flower shop downtown has now found a home in a slightly more industrial setting on Caledonia -- and somehow, it works perfectly. Cozy seating inside, a great covered patio outside, and that village-style European restaurant vibe you hope to stumble across. First off, the waiter was phenomenal. He walked us through the menu, explained everything perfectly, and genuinely elevated the whole experience. The menu is massive -- meat, seafood, everything you could want -- but we came for the paella. We were told it takes time because they make it the proper way. Not overly crispy, just authentic, rich, and layered with flavour. Worth every minute of the wait. To start, we had the gambas / shrimp in a rich red garlic and herb sauce plus extra toasted bread for dipping, per our waiter's recommendation. Absolute rockstar move. The other appetizer was a delicious beef stew served over crunchy rustic bread. Simple, hearty, and top notch. Now... drum roll please. This may have been the best paella I've ever had. Okay okay, maybe somewhere along the coast in Spain I've had one fresher... but this was absolutely off the charts. Zero fishy smell. Just beautiful saffron-infused rice with that perfect slight crisp, loaded with mussels, clams, octopus, calamari, shrimp, and more. Built for two people to share and completely unforgettable. A few glasses of house white later and bam - there was absolutely no chance I was going back to work. And dessert? I kept telling myself: "No dessert, Frank. No dessert." But there's a rule in life ; if you see crème brûlée on a menu, you order it. This wasn't exactly crème brûlée, but a cheesecake-inspired version of it. Two spoons, four bites, and thank you very much. Favourite meal of the year so far. Completely blown away by this place. Mercatto -- go now. Go fast.

We ordered the ceviche, tartare, branzino, truffle gnocchi, and chopped salad. Everything was delicious, but the standouts for me were definitely the branzino, the ceviche, and the chopped salad. Those three dishes complemented each other really well and were the highlights of the meal. The truffle gnocchi was okay, but much richer and heavier than I expected, so it's probably best to share. The tartare itself was excellent, though I wasn't a fan of the chips it came with. The food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Just loving the atmosphere here…read more As for the food, don't expect it to be a "traditional Izakaya" here, but that's not a bad thing. They do the "traditional" dishes with a twist / fusion. For example, the black cod is usually feel heavy with the miso based sauce, but they added some acidity to the sauce and they made the black cod taste rich and light (not to mention the black cod was perfectly cooked); traditionally the Brussels Sprouts would be finished by tossing balsamic vinegar over it. Sometimes that would still feel heavy. Instead, they tossed it with strawberry vinaigrette. So the acidity is very light and not too sweet. We finished our meal with the Yokai Signature Maki. Yes, they SHOULD be proud of this Maki enough to put their name on it. They hit it on the nail with the taste profile. I have a zero tolerance with spiciness, so they put the spicy mayo on the side, and I encouraged my wife to dip the Maki with it. She confirmed my suspicion that the spicy mayo took the maki to another level. We definitely will come to try other dishes. Edit: they comped us a slice of Matcha Cheesecake. While it is still not my cup of tea, but I was very impressed with how good it taste. My "dislike" is with cheesecakes because they feel heavy. Though it is still on the heavy side for me, but as soon as I spoon in a bit of the strawberry sauce, it just lightened up the whole thing. They have successfully amazed me with how well they play with taste.

Lowkey missing their grilled beef intestine though Great highball selection as well. We got the peach highball for the one who likes sweet, and the yuzu highball for the one who likes sour.
