Mind blown by how hard Alex and his crew worked!!! We just recently moved into a house where the previous tenants were very lax on their landscaping (that's putting it lightly). The bushes next to the driveway were overgrown, making it hard to get in and out of the house. The neighbor's grape vines were draping all the way to the floor of our yard. And the worst part was this goliath wall of trees/bushes that completely blocked the pathway into the backyard. It was huge!!!! A serial killer could have been hiding in there! We dialed NF Landscaping, and Alex came out for a quote literally the next day. Their pricing was extremely competitive, and they were also able to schedule us in for the same week! When they arrived, they tackled the job with extreme gusto. I couldn't believe how much they did in such a little amount of time. Alex was able to cut everything down with just one extra person!!! He's a super human bushwhacking tree cutting machine!!! Extremely satisfied with Alex and NF Landscaping. Please take a look at the before and after photos. Hired him to empty a storage unit. Items in that unit were left in the same building around a corner on the other side of the building. He gave me a flat rate of $150 on Yelp and we set a time for two days later. Day of, he asked me "How much were you looking to pay to have this removed?" after getting pictures of the storage unit. Because of this I ask a different company for a quote through email, they tell me an quick estimate of $119 min load, or a max of $159. He arrived an hour late. He moved the items while I was outside setting up Venmo because he wouldn't take card or Paypal. I paid him $150 through Venmo and he left. Next day get a call from the property manager that my stuff was in the hallway. I start another 3 hour roundtrip to grab these items. The mover, when told about this says it isn't him. After I inform him the cameras were checked his phone line and yelp phone line disconnect. (The loud beeping kind) Because I paid through Venmo, a refund was impossible. I leave a review on yelp and inform the mover I am starting a small claims case. I get a call later where he offers a refund if I take down my review. I discuss the situation with him and he says it wasn't him, but he won't refund without the review being gone, so I refuse. He insults me and then disconnects his line again. Afterwards I get a refund. The mover still says it wasn't him and says either I or the other unit owner who was there at the time did this. read more

I had renters moving in on Thursday, and contacted Alex on Sunday. He came over in his Tesla on the hottest day of the year. When I asked him how he's enjoying the weather, he, in his adorable sun hat and pants pulled up on one leg, told me "not that great, not that great. Gotta be honest, working outside in this heat is horrible." I really do love when the people i work with have a sense of humor and are humans, not just work work work. He came over, gave me an estimate, and when I said I was considering using Casa Latina and hauling away myself/bringing bark myself, he asked my budget. He brought his estimate down to where I felt okay to hire him to do it all, and he was very willing to negotiate on prices. Now, that being said, I think it's definitely important to clarify scope of a project beforehand. There was definitely some miscommunication on both our parts on what was included in deweeding and mulching the whole yard front and back- namely, the hauling away part. Technically our yard bin should have been empty for our renters, but I got a text from Alex asking what I wanted him to do with what he pulled. That's on both of us, because I didn't ask and he didn't clarify that hauling is extra. That's fine. Alex worked the whole day to finish the front and back, and when I noticed some things that were missed, he was totally willing to go back and clear up spots that he might've missed. He ended up needing a bit more bark than he thought originally, but he didn't charge us extra for it. It was a LOT of work for one person, and honestly I know that he was trying to meet our budget and thus didn't want to bring another person in, but he definitely would be better suited to just stick with his price point and have others helping. Because it was just him, he did forget to bring extra string for his weed whacker, and also forgot the leaf blower for cleanup post project. So because of that and the discrepancy of the hauling, I took a star off, but for work ethic, geniality, and just overall goal meeting, he's definitely worth hiring for your next yard clean up, maintenance, or overall redesign. read more

I wasn't planning on writing a review but after our recent development, I have to. Alex is very responsive. He replied right away, drove over, gave us an estimate. We hired him for a clean up job in August. Front yard, back yard, mowing and removal of an old flower bed. The quote was reasonable and he arrived on time. Came with one other person who pretty much did the majority of the cleaning up. He didn't weed as promised. He just mowed over the weed and use the weed wacker to chop up the overgrown areas. The work was half ass but it was done and we needed the clean up before a party. We agreed that he would come twice a month for maintenance. Which was why I didn't make a fuss about the quality of the work. He would just come back and keep cleaning up. He gave us a quote for the maintenance. And then when we scheduled a date for it, he changed the price. Okay whatever. Alex never came back to do maintenance. We took it as a loss and moved on with life. Today, my husband went to move some branches across the street. Our house faces some wetland. He found a pile of soil, most likely from the flower bed alex removed. read more

We've been clearing out my father in laws house and storage in preparation to move him into a home and found ourselves with a lot of junk we couldn't sell, include large mini van seats. Found Alex on Nextdoor offering dump run services. He was able to come same day to give an estimate and was able to take everything, including the large items the next day. Things started out fine: my wife and I contacted Alex to do a cleanup job in our backyard that had become overgrown and neglected. He was prompt in his initial replies, came out quickly and provided a detailed estimate and scope outline of the job we wanted. Alex seemed eager to do the work and also to prove himself. On the day of the cleanup job, Alex came to us and quoted us a cost for an add-on fence job we had briefly discussed on walkthrough. Considering his crew could get started right away we agreed on the fence add-on, as well as adding on the cost of him cutting down a dying cherry tree in our front yard. All of this was agreed on *before* seeing the final quality of the initial cleanup job we had hired him for -- our mistake. At the end of the 'cleanup day', the backyard cleanup looked only half finished. Only half of the junk to be hauled was taken. Alex promised that the remaining cleanup items would be taken care of during the subsequent fence job. We reluctantly paid the full amount we owed for the cleanup job, with the expectation that all remaining issues would be handled. We were asked to put down a 50% deposit for the fence job, which we paid promptly. Several days later, Alex came to us and said that the lumber deal he had gotten with his supplier had fallen through and that now the fence job was going to cost us an additional $3k (!!!). Reluctantly we agreed. Days later, work began on the fence, and Alex and his crew discovered that the root system along the property line where the fence was to be installed was dense. He and his crew needed to remove and cut back even more shrubs/roots/etc of which Alex told us was a ton of extra work, but that we wouldn't be charged for that. Great, appreciated -- but *still* the cleanup and junk and debris elements were not addressed from the *original* cleanup job. The fence job estimate had included a return gate section to enclose our backyard. On the next to last day of work, Alex informed us that his crew were unable to finish the fence and create a gate in the area that he had scoped, due to some extra concrete discovered in the ground preventing a post from being set. We are now left with a fence that does not enclose our backyard (which was our whole point for hiring Alex to build the fence in the first place). The job was 'finished' the next day (I use the term 'finished' loosely) -- however the original cleanup debris and junk hauling job STILL had not been completed. There was fast food trash left in the backyard from his crew. The add-on cherry tree cutting job was left cut with a 'stump' (again I use that term loosely) standing 5 feet tall!. Further, Alex had said he would leave us firewood from this cut tree, but instead we were left with a discarded pile of twigs and huge branches tossed alongside our and our neighbor's front yard property line (which was also peppered with trash -- napkins, fast food wrappers, etc). After sending an email to Alex stating all of the things that had still been left unfinished, Alex agreed to come out once again to personally rectify the issues, himself. Alex came out the following morning to do what, presumably, should have been a detailed, final quality control pass. Even this was a disaster: after he completed his 'pass', debris STILL remained throughout the backyard. Fast food trash from his crew was STILL left littered about. The stapled barcode strips of paper on EACH piece of lumber was left on every individual slat of the finished portion of the fence. The tops of the fence posts were sawed off haphazardly with apparent disregard to a level tool, and tossed on the ground. Large roots that had been cut up where tossed to the side in the yard beds. To add insult to injury, one of the plant potters that was to be junked and hauled on the first day of their job, apparently 'exploded' (Alex's words) when moved and styrofoam packing peanuts got everywhere. Oh! But, Instead of picking up the new styrofoam peanut mess they created, Alex and crew simply used a leaf blower to blow styrofoam pieces literally EVERYWHERE. Broken shards of glass were left in a prominent walkway. No one wants to have to write this kind of review. Again, Alex seems like a nice enough dude, his crew seemed ok, and nothing personal to him or them -- but the work quality and attention to detail SUCKS. I (the homeowner) completed the yard cleanup job the following week that Alex and his crew could not. Please see some of the various 'Before and After' pics I've uploaded to give you a sense of what we were left with as a 'completed job' and how much work was left. In the end, we paid Alex the full amount he invoiced us despite being thoroughly dissatisfied and unhappy customers, so as to not spend one more second stuck in project hell with Alex and his crew.
