NHance Oahu painted our oak kitchen cabinets white and totally transformed our kitchen! Shawn and his crew started on a Monday and put in a full day removing cabinet doors and drawers to take to their shop to work on. Landon and Leilani stayed all day to paint the frames. On Friday they returned and put the doors back on. I bought new handles for the doors and drawers which they put in at their shop (also bought new hinges to match). The transformation was stunning changing our drab dingy cabinets to a modern clean look. Our whole kitchen looks larger and contemporary. We booked their services late last year and they are still booked out four months in advance. But it's well worth the wait! read more

Shawn is the owner, estimator, do-er and truly cares about his work! We have thermofoil cabinet faces that are 20 years old. The bases are good but about half of the faces were peeling and delaminating. Shawn took one of the drawer faces to re-do as a test. He removed the thermofoil and did an amazing job at matching the color and painting it with some special process. The new faces all feel just like the smooth matte finish of the thermofoil. He's such an honest and professional contractor with great prices, too. So happy we called him! read more

Shawn and Landon gave a fantastic new finish to my kitchen. The dark brown cabinets were re-finished in white, transforming the kitchen, giving it a brand new and brighter look as were the guest bathroom cabinets. Shawn went above and beyond by fixing the broken hinges of the drawers. The new paint finish is smooth, uniform, and consistent that they look like new cabinets have been installed. This review for NHance Oahu is long overdue. My mom has wanted a new look to her 40y.o. kitchen for many years. So when she saw the ad for cabinet refinishing, she had me call NHance for an estimate. Shawn was prompt and friendly with a calming demeanor. We felt comfortable with him at our first meeting and felt he could be trusted to finish the job right on a timely basis. We chose the paint color white and later purchased drawer handles (more as accent, than practical purpose) from a store for his team to install. Since we did not use handles nor knobs on the doors and drawers before, I saw no need to use these for the doors. They were quiet and efficient when diligently painting, which I appreciated since we hung out at the other end of the house. When job was completed, the transformation was amazing! We were thrilled to see how much brighter and uplifted the kitchen looked from the worn, stained wood originals. Soon afterwards, it dawned on us that grime can easily show against these beautiful, white cabinet doors (duh!). So I purchased (regrettably) and installed (painstakingly leveled) door knobs myself. Lesson learned - let the pros do it. It turned out well, but as we admired my work, mom commented that repainting the walls would complete our kitchen update - she then looked at me. Admittedly, she was right. So after a coat of light blue, and an updated backsplash, the kitchen was finally complete. NHance did a wonderful job not only painting the cabinets, they also replaced the greasy, darkened old hinges on the cab doors and fixed sticky sliding drawers. Shawn also 'fixed' the pitted particle board (from water splashes) located on the side of an upper cab, next to the sink. He adhered a smooth surfaced board that made the section look new! They cleaned up well and even gave us some leftover paint for any future mishaps needing touchups. Fantastic job done well beyond our expectations by a good, capable and considerate team! I had the choice of either A) replacing my cabinets or B) refreshing them with new color and hardware. New cabinets would take time for demo of existing and then install new. A refresh would be one day to start the process, all my cabinet items remaining in place, and 4 days later, one day to put newly finished cabinet faces and hardware in place. And the refresh saved about 1/4 the cost with practically zero disruption. I went with the refresh. One reason was the confidence instilled in me regarding the contractor's ability to not only produce a quality finished product but also start and finish on time as promised. I'd just finished a string of other work in my home and start and finish times seems to be a challenge for other contractors. NHance did better - finishing one day early - when I asked if that was possible due to my need to leave town unexpectedly. And the quality of the job was not jeopardized. They worked longer hours during the week to finish painting the cabinet fronts that had been removed to their offsite finishing location. That was so much appreciated! This work crew was silent, clean and efficient- starting and finishing. There were no language barriers. Their family team of 4 were all very well trained, professional and personable. I actually enjoyed having them in my home! How many times can you say that?! I actually suggested that if they were to ever expand their business to include installing kitchen cabinet organizing tools I would be the first to use them because of the high level of trust established due to their demonstrated knowledge and personal interactions with us. read more

This is a long story but... We had cabinets put in by a discount cabinet company. We realized it wasn't just our warm colored lights, they were actually not white-white but antique white. Not only that but the shade of antique white differed from cabinet section to cabinet section....almost as if they got painted at different times with slightly different batches of paint. My wife hated them. LESSON 1 - Go with a more expensive cabinet company. Yes, I found the cabinet guys on Yelp and they were rated 4 stars. We found NHance on Yelp and called Shawn to give us an estimate, but after doing some google and Youtube research we decided to try painting all the cabinets ourselves. LESSON 2 - It's tempting to DIY but unless you are a pro painter and LOVE sanding and have good quality equipment DON'T DO IT! If you are an amateur, the time spent versus the quality you get ultimately is not worth it. We called Shawn AGAIN and he came and gave us a re-estimate (it had been a couple months and we added layers of paint on many surfaces) and helped us find a solution that worked with our budget. He completed our project quickly, courteously and with the smooth white finish we always wanted. They even repaired a drawer face that I broke clean-off during our failed painting attempt. FINAL LESSON - Don't hesitate, just call Shawn and his team. They are the real deal. We found Shawn to be courteous, knowledgable and trustworthy. I was looking to have my wood floors refinished and came across this company. Shawn was great to work with, very friendly and kind. He completed the work within the time frame that he estimated and was very responsive and patient with all of my questions. He even showed up with malasadas when he came to work!
