All boba is not created equal. This is something that I learned, fairly recently. Before this, I would have told you that all boba WAS in fact created equal. Honestly, I probably would have told you that bobas were simply gathered by shaking the trunk of the mighty boba tree. Which apparently is also not true. I'm in a season of learning. So now that I have this new bit of knowledge, I can tell you, this is good boba. As far as I can tell anyways. It tastes fresh and firm and not stale or smushy like mashed peas. That would be awful. They have multiple flavors too, some of which I'm sure your snobbiest boba savant might mildly scoff at, but as a layman I find them fun and tasty. Their interior is also spacious and affords a nice alternative for studying or gathering with a friend who is allergic to coffee shops. This place is alright in my book. I'll be around. read more

Update: Owner reached out to me and talked about her shared frustration with the workers' experiences and that they will work on it. I appreciated the care and honesty of her reaching out! For being next to the UofA, you need to have more than 2 people on an evening shift. I usually prefer the broadway location (which i've never seen with less than 3 employees) but was near this one and what would've took me 5 minutes even in the busiest times at Broadway took about 20 minutes here. There were two girls who were trying their hardest but one had to be on the register and therefore another was trying to make close to 10 drinks. There were frustrated delivery drivers pacing. The drinks are great as always but it would've been a lot more enjoyable to not take 15 minutes to get my drink ): and to not see the poor girls struggling and being visibly distressed as more and more people walked in. To the late night boba drinkers: I went 20 minutes before closing (8:40 p.m.) to see what the quality of their honey boba would be like at the end of the day. Every--and I mean every--pearl was warm and had good texture. None of them were hard in the middle or completely mushy. The bottom of the cup where the pearls were was noticeably warm. It's clear that they have a good boba warmer machine. The store was clean, the workers were nice, and the drink was solid (I could definitely taste the quality of the matcha in the strawberry matcha latte). 10/10 will be back. read more

Hands down best boba in Tucson. The strawberry matcha and taro are my favorites. Kim is awesome and amazing. She's sweet and you can see she has a passion for this. When they first opened, my son and I called in our order. We were coming from Green Valley so it took us longer to get there. Kim called to let me know they were remaking our drinks because it melted. When we finally arrived, she came out and made sure we liked our drinks especially because we came from GV. However, my husband and I are sick to death of paying a premium for a product and having a smiling youth turn an electronic device at us and say, "[giggle] this is totally optional!" I'm referring to the excessive tip requests that have become popular. It puts the customer in an uncomfortable place as we wish to say, " Ask your employer for a raise! Not us! We just paid $18 dollars for two drinks standing in a line at the counter for 10 minutes!" The employees were very friendly and accommodating when we got there 10ish minutes before close (we went to a nearby boba shop first, but they had closed 15 minutes early). My friend got the strawberry cheese foam on a jasmine milk tea, and I got the matcha latte with regular boba. The matcha was really tasty and high quality - it didn't taste cheap or artificial like so many "matcha" drinks do. It had a rich, authentic earthiness to it, that went well with nondairy milk and low sweetness. I stole a few sips of my friend's cheese foam drink and it was deliciously decadent! It's a spacious boba spot that seemed to opened quite recently. There's large tables if you want to come and study. There's also a wall that can serve as a backdrop for your drink. The workers are super nice and I got my drink pretty fast. However, the drinks itself were definitely bland. I got a wintermelon milk tea and My friend got the Hokkaido milk tea and both of our drinks were bland. I could not even taste the wintermelon flavor. The boba was chewy but a large amount of it was in a clump so I had to separate it with my straw as I drink. Overall, I think I may come back to try the fruit teas a different time but I don't think this will become the new go to spot. read more

Store: I would like to start with the fact that the inside of this store has a very cute modern style. The outfits of the workers plus the style of the store is well put together and cute! It's great for photos or just a nice place to relax while you sip on some boba tea and maybe play a few board games (I think is saw two when I visited). We've tried almost all of the boba tea placed in Tucson. Ni Hao Tea is one of the best; the drinks are always fresh.

My favorite tea place, doesn't have that fake tea taste like other places. Always fast service.

Oh have been to both locations now and they are top notch! They use a ceremonial grade matcha in their strawberry matcha boba tea and you can choose the sweetness in percentages-I go for the 25% and it's perfect because I don't like sweet drinks. The brown sugar boba (and all other boba and jellies) are cooked in small batches so it may sound weird but they are fresh and chewy the way boba (a kind of round tapioca starch) is supposed to be. For those who have never tried boba tea, it's a must experience. You suck up the boba in a thicker straw. Another customer mentioned she had to get at least 3 per sip. I've also tried their version of an iced Thai coffee - with boba of course - and it really was spot on. My friend got a plain strawberry milk one and omg. Delicious. Did I mention who sweet and kind the owner is? She said she wanted to bring the best of her culture to Tucson, and she has succeeded.
