I mean some of it was slow, deep, purposeful and intentional but some hand movements was fast (I REALLY dislike very much fast massages) disconcerting and very unrelaxing. In addition, she answered the phone 1x and got up 2x to answer the door. This was my biggest pet peeve last time and they still haven't hired an extra receptionist. In addition to that, the "hallway" where they massage is very unrelaxing and really does feel like a hallway. As in an afterthought or extra space they used just to stick extra chairs because they had no room elsewhere (which they don't). and when the ladies talked to each other, they weren't in complete whisper to be considerate of my paid quiet time. I liked it. The MAIN reason I docked a star is due to that when a person came in for a massage, she got up and answered the door. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I am thinking, seriously owner? I can hear her even say, "I'll call you back." I'm thinking, "Yes you better!." Anyhoo..I was hoping I can rate this place higher cuz I need to expand my foot massage horizons. My appointment started about 5 minutes late, and after being seated I was asked to soak my feet. I was told it would be about a minute, but according to the timer it ended up being a little over 8 minutes with no other service happening during that time. At other places I've been to, the foot soak is usually paired with a scalp or face massage, so this felt like lost time -- especially since I had arrived early to use the restroom so we could start on time. The foot massage itself was actually uncomfortable. The therapist wore gloves, which I've come to expect, but instead of massage oil they used Vaseline. I've never had that used before, and it created a lot of friction rather than glide, which made the massage feel rough instead of relaxing. Afterward I was moved to the table for the upper body portion. I've had similar services elsewhere that include neck, shoulders, and even face work, but none of those areas were addressed here. The paper covering where you place your face was also very scratchy, to the point I had to rest my face on my hands to stay comfortable. Overall, this just wasn't a relaxing experience for me, and I won't be returning. I'll be sticking with my usual place going forward.

We walked to the back where the private rooms are and there was a man laying on one of the clean beds on his phone, they got his attention, they continued speaking in Vietnamese and then he led me to my room. I said I needed to use the bathroom because I wanted to check and see if there was any red flags that this place might not be on the up and up. I walked to the bathroom and an older gentleman and the one female employee that was working was walking out to the lobby, he was glowing, literally all smiles, must've been a good massage. I use the restroom come back into my room and I'm told to undress, I didn't realize they were having an older gentleman do my massage, so I kept my pants on out of comfort. Bless this man's heart but he was no masseuse, he might as well have been rolling Tonka trucks up and down my back, he had half my butt cheeks hanging out because he was trying to get my lower back but it was awkward because he's a man. He kept massaging really rough and I would correct him and ask him to please go softly, he would for a minute or two and then go right back to being rough again. He just didn't know what he was doing. When he started working on my lower body I noticed that he was folding my legs in different positions so that he could work all the inner, outer, just every part of my thigh, my butt cheeks, everything. After everything was said and done, I came out to tip him, they spoke in Vietnamese a little more and then the woman said next time I should take my pants off so that he can really do a good deep massage. I'm thinking to myself, if I was just in underwear with all of the funky positions that he was putting my legs in, spreading them apart, butterfly position I mean you name it, there's absolutely zero way I would've been comfortable with that. So just note you might get a male masseuse, who clearly isn't a masseuse, and if you are stripped down to your underwear you better hope that you're solid to be sitting in butterfly position. Before I left another middle-aged man walked in, handed them cash and he asked for the only female masseuse that was there that day by name, she seemed fairly busy with the older gents. Their sign states that walk ins are welcome, so we went inside. A nice woman greeted us and went over their prices for a number of different massages available. Joe was just interested in getting the face down chair with hopes of getting the kinks in his back worked out. You have to pay up front along with a tip even though you have no idea how your session will turn out. The masseuse started working on his back using mostly the elbow technique. It seemed to help him a little, but she mentioned that his muscles were very knotted and it took great effort to get the tension released. The majority of his pain was on the right side of his upper back, so he kept requesting to have the focus be performed there. But she spent more time on the left side for some reason and he didn't get as much relief as he had hoped when the 15 minute session was over. During the massage, I was seated nearby to observe and I was able to check out the interior of the spa. It has a clean, cozy, comfy and relaxing atmosphere. I sat there dreaming of returning in the near future with hopes of enjoying a 60 minute couples massage. That being said, my BF was a little disappointed with his session and still emerged with continued back pain.
