I took my Ford Escape in for a clicking sound coming from the back. The shop told me it needed a rear differential replacement. They kept the car for two weeks, then called me to pick it up and charged me $4,376.98 for the repair--more than what the Ford dealership would have charged. At that point, they also mentioned that the car needed new brakes. I asked why they hadn't informed me earlier, especially since they had the vehicle sitting in their shop for two weeks. I couldn't help but wonder if this was just a way to get more money out of me. I left feeling disappointed that they hadn't brought up the brake issue sooner. Then, when I drove the car, I heard a rattling noise from the back. I took it back to the shop, and they told me it needed two wheel stabilizers, which would cost about $400 to fix. Again, I asked why this wasn't addressed--or at least mentioned--during the two weeks they had my vehicle. Their response was simply that they "didn't notice." This is extremely poor service and feels like an attempt to extract more money from the customer. Even if it wasn't intentional, it's still unprofessional and careless. I had specifically told the service advisor, Derek, to fix anything the car needed, yet he neglected that instruction entirely. I'm very disappointed. This shop had been my go-to mechanic for about 30 years, but the quality of their service has clearly gone downhill. I can no longer trust them, and I won't be returning. I'd rather take my car somewhere that values honesty and professionalism. read more

I've had two experiences with them- both poor. service was poor and the receptionist was very rude to me. I am always polite, so there is no excuse for rudeness and unhelpfulness. I should have gone with my first instinct to go to Murdoch's in Port Colborne. They never disappoint, and they don't overcharge like Niagara Tire and Battery does either. read more

Don't take an older car there even if you are willing to spend the money to fix it , they will treat you with no respect. I told them I had a spongy brake pedal. They said I needed new brakes . I paid $1000 dollars. The spongy break pedal came back even worse than it was before the brakes were done. There was a thud sound everytime I applied the brakes, Couldn't get to the shop to have it checked since my brother was dying of brain cancer. I finally took it in. The guy took it for a test drive and told me everything was good I told him that was not possible. He didn't care and kept telling me he had no idea what it was. I get in the car and that pedal was almost to the floor the whole way home. He had no interest in helping me. I believed he lied. He must have felt the pedal going down to the floor but said everything was good over and over.However, he was the one who had done the brakes on my car of course so he didn't want to work on my car and was blaming the problem on the tires. But the spongy pedal had come back right after the brakes were installed and when the weather was perfect, I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN read more

today I was filing my tire up with air and broke the stem I was in a pinch because it was 40 minutes before they closed. I called ahead to let them know I was coming and was greeted at entering the door. I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. That's called service especially this time of year. Its snow tire season. I was loyal by giving all my car repairs to CHRIS @ Niagara Battery & Tire for years, and then they recently simply denied I existed when it was convenient for them to NOT take responsibility for BAD WORK. I had A double Cooling Fan Installed in my Diesel Car by them. IT WAS INSTALLED IMPROPERLY. Now its costing me another 1000 dollars to replace it. WHEN I asked ( Niagara Battery and Tire ) for Help they simply denied I existed. They also SAID oh, we don't work on Diesel Cars after they had been working on my car for years. WTF I TRUSTED THEM, THIS HURTS ME more then it Does THEM ( Niagara Battery & Tire ) NOT Cool NOT Fair NOT well Managed NOT HONEST I will continue to try and get my money BACK from them, I HOPE they don't suffer To much by ultimately helping me, I'm not a company, I'm not Rich, I'm not unreasonable, I'm just a regular customer who gets to Pay a large seemingly professional company for BAD WORK ! You never should have even Worked on my car if you don't work on Diesel engines. THAT was A MISTAKE ! IT just takes more time but I'm gunna find that receipt and then I'm gunna sue you ! How many times must I have my battery "changed" until my car will start all the time? At least 3 and they tell me there is nothing wrong! This has been going on since september 2019! I have been going to Niagara battery and Tire (Niagara Falls Location) for years, have always bought my tires, snow tires and rims from them but Wednesday was an experience I will never forget. I had called 2 weeks prior to try and book an appointment for snow tires, and I was told to show up at 7 as they are extremely busy. I understand that but the customer service I was shown yesterday was a disgrace! Long story short I showed up at 7:15.. they were no longer taking appointments for the day.. ok great, just drove 40 minutes but okay cool... so I asked them to just give me my tires back (I pay for them to be stored there) and I will take care of switching them over myself. The service attendant said it would be awhile so I patiently waited 30 minutes for them to retrieve them. After 30 minutes, he informs me that they are ready. I walked outside and they were sitting there on the curb beside their garage with no one around to help..... are you kidding me?? Let's keep in mind that I am a single girl, and I now have to DRAG my tires which are on rims and are extremely HEAVY across the parking lot and somehow lift them into my car. As I STRUGGLED to do this not one person came to help, there were employees walking by, watching me struggle and I swear the other guys were sitting at their desks watching me struggle through the windows!! I am honestly disgusted with this service, I understand the place is busy but I have purchased the tires and rims for this place and have paid $60+ every 6 months to have them stored there, you would think the least they could do is help me for 2 minutes to load the tires in my car!! Well I hope they got their last laugh watching me struggle because that is the last time me, my family or anyone I know will ever go to Niagara Battery and Tire. We came here for many years. But the service and attitude is now terrible. I find the staff indifferent at best, and rude at worst. More than once I've been kept waiting for longer than one might wait in an Ontario doctor's office. Furthermore, the staff never give proactive advice on things that might be coming up that might need attention. I gave them many chances but from now on, will be taking my business to a facility that appreciates my business. read more

Have bought tires here for years. Always had good service, my last car had the rims gummed up from someone putting in aresol sealant. It took over an hour for them to clean the rims so they could install new tires and avoid leaks at the rim. All this done without charge. Previously had flat repairs and balance redone on tires that I had bought there for again " no charge" . highly reccomend going to them for good service read more

Called on April 9/14 to inquire about tire warranty. The Michelin Primacy tires I purchased in 2009 from the now closed Active Green & Ross on Victoria Ave had considerable weather checking (dry rot). I called the Active Green & Ross on Lundy's Lane and got nowhere, so I called here. Was told to bring my car in so they could take a look. The gentleman who came out, his name was Debert, brought a series of photos issued by Michelin with him to help gauge the cracks. He examined all 4 tires and explained that most of the weather checking was just cosmetic and not covered, the tires were completely covered by fine cracks, but each tire had at least some deeper cracks that were in fact covered by warranty. He said he would call Michelin to see what they would do and call me back later that day. Two hours later he called back and said they would give me 45% if I bought the same tires. When I inspected the new tires I noticed by the date stamp that they were less than 2 months old! read more

i have been a very loyal customer of this business almost since it's inception. I am very disheartened to learn that I have been badly overcharged for work done my vehicles over the years and am at the point where I will tell anyone I am able to, to not set foot in their door. I talked to a "reputable mechanic" friend of our family and was told that what I have been charged over the years is "outlandish" and as a female, they have taken advantage of me. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT CARS, THIS IS THE LAST PLACE YOU WANT TO GO. i wish i had a nickel for every dollar they have overcharged me...I would be a very rich lady! read more
