I send my ford escape for clicking sound in the back, they told me it needs rear Differential replacement, they kept the car for two weeks and then called me to receive it and pay $4376.98 for the repair which was more than what the ford dealer charges and then they said the car needs brakes, but I said , why didn't you call me earlier to mention this when you had the car setting in your shop for two weeks , ( is it a way of getting more money out of me) I was just thinking in my head. I took the car feeling disappointed that they didn't tell me earlier about the brakes, then when I drove it I hear rattling from the back I took it back to them, they said it needs 2 wheel stabilizers that cost about $400 to get rid of the sound, and then again I asked them why didn't you repair this or at least inform me about it when you had the car for two weeks, their answer was that they didn't notice. This is a very poor service, and a way of making unjustified money out of the customer. it is untrusted way even if they didn't intend to because I told the administrated person ( Derek ) to fix any thing in the car but he had the car for 2 weeks and just neglect what I said to him. I am very disappointed that a place like this who was my mechanic shop for about 30 year has gone that bad, I can't go back to them any more I prefer to go to some other place who can be trusted. read more

Big thanks to Matt and Corey !!! My tire went on the highway, so I pulled up with a donut on my car. Bought two new tires for a great price. I originally go to another place in the city, but two of their tires have blown on the highway on me so enough was enough. The great thing about this location is they offer lifetime insurance on the tires for cheap, so I don't have to worry about the cost of replacement again. Matt and Corey really went above and beyond ! They are truly the experts. Quick tire change, informative, and gave great suggestions. Price wise: tire change was great. The rest, no. my fiancé and I both booked to come in to get our tires switched for the winter season. I already had tires, and my fiancé was buying tires from them They didn't book either of us properly. I was stuck missing my AM shift due to the inconvenience and my fiancé never received his winter tires and ended up going elsewhere. When I walked in to give them my car they said "oh you had an appointment yesterday I just didn't have your phone number to give you a call" that's strange because I gave it to the person who booked me. I'm absolutely discussed by Niagara battery and Tire. My Daughter was quoted one price for tires and she specifically stated what she needed. When she arrived to have her new tires installed the price had gone up by $300. It seems to me like a bait and switch. The man was very rude to her, and made snide comments about her to his co-worker. Unacceptable behaviour! Stay far away for this place. read more

December 2020: Not real impressed with Niagara Battery & Tire. It was my first time there today and I found the employees rude. Quick service and decent tires but it wouldn't hurt to politely greet a customer paying $600. Maybe I'm old fashioned. Update: June 2021 Absolutely disgusted with Niagara Battery & Tire in STC. Overtorqued my tires, didn't properly sand my rims when I paid $87 for them to take off my winters & put on summers. They also did a very sloppy job when they put the summers on. Didn't even bother to sand the rims clean. Lastly, they failed to notice that the ball joint didn't have the bolt on it so I learned I was driving in a very dangerous vehicle. I called for pricing on a specific size and tire rating ! I was told a great price and availability from welland to drive to st.cathrines location ! After saying yes to the deal and sitting in waiting room after taking my wheels off truck I was told the tires were not rated properly for my truck ! I said pardon, I had asked for e-rated tires ? They said yeah sorry the ones they were selling me were d rated ! I said what now ? They said I could have smaller tires or come back in a couple days for cheaper brands or pay 300 more for Michelin tires ! A waste of time and a bad taste left for me !! My car would not start today, after CAA boost called Niagara Tire and Battery and they said come on down. When I arrived they tested my battery and installed a new one for 20.00 (plus the battery) The service was great, friendly and professional. They are locally owned and it was my pleasure to support them as opposed to a big corporate store, don't think twice about getting your tires or batteries from them. read more

We are from out of town and came out of our hotel to a flat tire, no jack, no spare. Luc sent a truck to the hotel, put air in our tire and had us follow the truck to the shop. 2 Words NO PARKING. No shuttle to take you home. Spoke to the manager after taking my truck home at 7:30 am because there was no parking and I was told I could park over on a side street. Which there was not anything available close by. I was more then fine to leave my truck there all day because it is busy. I was even ok with walking home as sick as a dog in the rain. No parking! I spoke to the manager when I got home about how disappointed I was. He just made excuses. He was cold and told me there is nothing he can do, it is the busy season. He said the company vehicle (shuttle) got crashed other wise he could have arranged a way home for me. This company is greedy and only is concerned about making money. I am not willing to pay $400 for tires when there is no parking and I have to go out of my way to find parking. I understand that it is busy and I was told my truck would have to stay there for the day. No way home for me??? These guys really go the extra mile. Both of my experiences at the St. Catharines and Welland locations have been incredible. Unlike most shops, these guys don't keep you waiting. They take your car immediately upon appointment time and are quick. This morning I had snow tires mounted onto steel rims and installed and balanced. I was in and out in 45 minutes. The guys are also really respectful, which as a young woman in a shop, I really appreciate. They give you the real story and, will do their best to repair tires or offer the most affordable options. I come from Toronto to use them...they are fantastic! Just make sure you book a few days in advance cause they get busy!! read more
