Frustrating experience and rude people, won't go back. I showed Kim a simple design before I make my appointment. She couldn't even draw a straight line or curve. After two hours of painting my nails and removing it cause it looked like a kid's painting, I finally gave up and left with what she did. Even Kim paused and started laughing at how bad she was doing it! At the end, when I told her it was a frustrating session, she left while I was talking to her! Then her manager (the guy) came and was SO RUDE about the whole thing. He yelled at me and attacked me with his words because I said her design wasn't even close to what I asked for!! My nail tech was a guy, I think his name was Kanh, and he was very nice! He paid attention to detail, made sure all my fingernails were the same length, and that I was happy with the thickness of the dip. My service went past the closing time and Kanh patiently continued to help me, not rushing any part. I especially appreciated that. After a month or so, I went back because I loved it so much. I got dip again, and this time I wanted it even thinner and my nails to be a different shape. Kanh helped me again and he was super nice and paid close attention to detail. I love how it turned it out! Nice Nails also offer student discounts on certain services if you present them a student ID as well! I recommend this place. My services included a pedi and a full set of acrylic. The pedi was absolutely amazing, well done and the paint job is great. My full set however. . . Is atrocious. The salon was not busy and it didn't appear that anyone was in a rush. . . Except my tech. On my right hand she was sure to clean up my cuticle area, on the left it's a whole different story. I had requested she shorten the nails a bit more prior to continuing on. . . She didn't, then rushed me on to the pedicure. And where you feel sort of divorced from it all, almost uncomfortable about having hired someone to perform the service - and where you feel like they don't want to be doing it, either? Sometimes it feels so weird I just avoid the whole thing and let my feet become the animal hooves they secretly want to be. Here, they make an earnest effort to chat, and they've taken extra care to create a colorful, warm space. Instead of harsh fluorescent lighting, the light is soft and inviting. They aim for darker and cozier over antiseptic and sterile. In short, the place - and the owners - have personality, which makes the experience richer somehow than what I've come to expect from nail salons. It's more like a friendly visit where my feet come out looking 30% less rhinocerine (trust me, 30% is the best that anyone can do short of virtual reality assistance). Update: They never have available appointments unless you schedule way ahead of time, so you make an appointment in advance- but when you're in the middle of your scheduled appointment they just accept walk ins even though every tech is busy. The gentleman who filed the gel off filed so aggressively he broke the skin on several of my fingers. A different young woman finished up my manicure after I said my nails were hurting from the removal. She was okay. Over trimmed and put an excessive amount of alcohol on broken skin which stung. However she did a good job painting. The whole thing was only $30 - cheaper than most places. I won't be back and am bummed out at how much my fingers hurt. read more

Their painting skills are amazing as I'm super picky about if shellac is too thick looking. They are also super sanitary and use clean tools, gloves, film in pedicure baths, and have ppe, plastic guards and much more to protect from covid. The staff are super friendly, nice, and fun to talk to. They are skilled at shaping, painting, and give amazing massages. They never rush- they are meticulous and ask you if you like the shape, if you want another coat of polish, and let nails cure under UV light longer to make it last longer. LOVE!! The prices are super fair, and the quality of work is impeccable. They have decent service but the prices (for acrylic at least) don't match the website whatsoever. Their website says $20 for a fill and $25 for a gel fill, and when I went in they told me it would be $35 since they don't do normal fills anymore and only do gel. It's still a reasonable price for gel nails so I stayed, but it wasn't great quality and the guy who painted my nails took like 2 minutes per nail. He didn't really seem like he knew what he was doing. Also, they mentioned they had a student discount while I was getting my nails done so I could save $5 if I had my ID and that they had a punch card. At the end when I paid, they told me the discount wasn't eligible for acrylics. Then I asked about the punch card, and they said that wasn't eligible either. I kinda just felt scammed because the girl told me it would be $5 less and then just took it back. Overall wouldn't recommend, especially if you're looking to get acrylics. Gave them two stars because they had decent service and offered tea and water which was nice. read more

Don't be fooled by the discount. This is one of the worst places I've ever had my nails done. Wait time. They don't honor your appointment. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes before they got to me. Customer service. This part...I can't even. The lady seemed really annoyed that I had shellac on because it means she needed to do some extra work to take it off. She was doing my nails like she was pulling weeds out my yard- not gentle at all. At some point she raised her voice at me telling me to relax my hands- wow. After I reminded her I was actually a customer she started to change her tune- you know for that precious tip. I hate being that person not leaving a tip but I just could t after that excruciating experience. There's plenty other salons in the area.
