Friendly service, reasonable price, good craftsmanship. My nails are so pretty. Would come again! Edit 2 weeks later- removal of the nails was not good. Filed my nails down too much, the nails are thinned so much. :( I would go for nail removal somewhere else. My nails are so brittle and they bend because it's thinned out.

I came in for a fill and got the same service as last time great experience!!! Will be back soon

Holy molly, the artist completed her work of art on my nails under 1 hour without impacting the quality of work. I am so impressed at the precision! Now let's talk about the space. Nice comfy massage chairs for pedicures. Clean and modern. There are 4 parking spots right in front of the store and more along the complex. Definitely highly recommend!

Love the ladies, they're very nice, professional and very talented. They will deliver exactly what you ask for! I left so happy with my new set.

Started coming to Polish'd nails again after a long break from getting my nails done. I'm happy I chose to come back here. It is under new management since the last time I reviewed, and they do an amazing job. I didn't like the color from my last visit so I came in early for a color change. Super happy with how my nails turned out.

I normally am not one to write a more constructive review to a small business but I personally didn't enjoy my experience here. I don't get my nails done often anymore but when I do, I typically expect the person doing my nails to do a decent job. The owner and most of the workers were nice and they have a lot of chairs as well as colors to choose them. The person who did my feet was fine but the older lady with glasses who did my hands probably needs some practice on using the tools (which is why I at least gave 2 stars). I've had people use the electric nail filing/drill before and accidentally hit my skin and not do it again. Instead, this lady kept the file/drill on my skin for a while until I couldn't bear it anymore and had to yank my hands away. This happened multiple times, maybe a total of 7 times and almost on every single nail. I would pull away, she'd look at me upset, and keep going. When I went to go and wash my hands, the area she kept hitting with the file/drill would sting because she ripped off the skin and caused mini cuts. I was bleeding a little in two spots. I should have told her not to do that but at the time I was just more shocked and thought she'd get the hint after I pulled away the first 3 times. I felt anxious the rest of the time she used the file/drill. Also this was the first time I got dip nails. Maybe idk what they should look like but it looks dry and like there's air pockets on the side. Once she finished with my nails she was watching the other girls so maybe she was in training? But still, I think having my skin ripped and given cuts that many times repeatedly without taking a hint is not the most fun. For almost $100, I personally don't think it's worth it. My friend came with me and hers turned out great though and she didn't get the file/drill on her skin. So maybe it was just that one lady. Maybe if you go, just ask for the younger girl she had, she was great.

These guys are really amazing. Nancy and Annie are so talented and Annie is super detailed and patient. She does perfect nails every time. She's also great at shaping nails. Overall the customer service here is stellar and you can tell they really care. I've been coming here for 3 months now and plan to continue!

What I ended up with

Elli's dip extension work. I had an upsetting experience. Some nail techs should work on their bedside manners. I was really looking forward to this, too

I gotta say this place was absolutely fantastic. On a short notice they were able to accommodate me and squeeze me in that day. And I was so extremely satisfied with the results. If you haven't given this place to try, you should definitely do it. Shout out to the owner and his amazing wife for absolutely A++ customer service and quality. The vibe inside was also great. Thank you again for a very good service.

Ask the Community - Polish'd Nail Bar

Hi, how much is the classic pedicure?

Our current price for the classic pedicure is $38.00

Hello! My friend just called and asked for a gel polish set and we were just wondering what is the price for one acrylic gel set?

Hi! The price for an acrylic set varies on design, and length of nails. The base price for an acrylic fullset with gel polish would start at $53.00.

How much will it be for removal of acrylic set and what do you use to remove it?

Hi, It is $18 for acrylic removal. We use the nail grinding machine to thinner the acrylic down and then soak it in polish removal, until the acrylic completely soak off.

How much will it be for a shellac acrylics full set?

Full set acrylic with shellac is $50&up (varies on length of the nails) Thank You!

I wanted to take my 12 year old somewhere to get me and her nail manicures. Do you take tweens/teens?

Yes we do

Do you do SNS dip? If yes, to combo with the deluxe mani, how much it will cost?

Yes, Dipping Powder is $35 and the deluxe manicure is $25. Also, we are having a new management promotion with 20% off on all services starting on March, so come on in. I hope to see you soon,…

Do you do hard gel/ builder gel?

Yes we do. :) natural overlay is $50, tips extensions $60, form extensions is $70.

Is the deluxe manicure priced at $25 per hand, or total?

It's the total! Everything included, one trip. I've never seen a nail place that charge her hand.

I told Lucy that in the past I didn't like how thick shellac felt so she made sure to make it thin for me.

I was expecting to be treated like one of many folks coming in to get something done, but she took her time and made me feel like I matter. Her vibe is amazing and her tattoos are beautiful. I started coming to Waxing the City because of my waxer, Ashley. From my very first appointment,…read moreshe made me feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. She is incredibly talented, especially for someone who is newer to the industry. I'm in a similar field myself, and I can honestly say I couldn't have been as skilled as she is with the amount of experience she has. She has a gift for making clients feel at ease. Ashley had mentioned that her long-term goal was to open her own studio someday. While I could tell she wasn't completely happy in her work environment, she always remained professional and never spoke negatively about the company. When Ashley reached out to let me know she would no longer be working at Waxing the City, I was surprised to learn that she had given her two weeks' notice but was not allowed to finish it. Even more disappointing, neither I nor, from my understanding, her other clients were notified by the business that she would no longer be there. When I called to cancel my upcoming appointments, Carson explained that the decision was made because of "client retention." That response was disappointing. It gave the impression that retaining clients for the business was valued more than allowing clients to say goodbye to the esthetician they had built trust with or supporting an employee through a professional transition. Ashley built relationships with her clients because of the quality of care she provided, not because of the name on the building. Losing someone like her is a loss for Waxing the City. I hope the company reconsiders how it handles employees who choose to move on. Supporting them through a respectful departure and communicating openly with clients would reflect much better on the business. As a client, this experience left me feeling that there's a disconnect between what the company prioritizes and what actually matters most: the people providing exceptional service and the community of clients who trust them.

Clif was amazing, we both had the same vision going in and in 15 years in the industry, he gave me one of the best cuts I've had in a long time. We had a blast, he is so much fun and personable and it felt like I was hanging out with an old friend. Being in the same industry, I know how hard it is to find a stylist that's a keeper. He is. Next time I'm down in Shoreline, I will be going to see him. Salon itself was warm, cozy and very comfortable. Easy to find, great parking and friendly staff. Kudos to management as well for a fine running business. Try them out. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Clif! You are amazing!!! Muah!!

It took a month and a half for me not to feel embarrassed going out in public with my hair looking like it did. The color blend I asked for was complex and so I contacted them, sent pictures, and asked before I went there if they could pull it off. They assured me that they absolutely could. After four plus hours of bleaching and coloring, I was told that it would be better if he cut it a certain way (showing that he knew it didn't look right) but I'd have to make an appointment because it took longer than planned. I had told him from the beginning to use stronger bleach but he ignored this. I told him I knew this from multiple experiences but he said it'd be fine. He suggested shaving a pattern in the back. I hadn't planned this but he encouraged that it would look good. I looked up images and gave him several options and told him to do the one that he felt most comfortable with but he assured me that any would turn out great. When I saw it later it looked like a toddler's drawing. When I texted him pictures of it later he never responded. In the end, I paid $230 for a frizzy, haphazardly colored, and poorly designed head of hair. To be fair, he only charged me $200, but I am a stickler for always tipping well no matter what. I had sent them pictures, I asked if they could do it, I did not go there with higher expectations than what was promised. Now I will never go back and I encourage you not to make the same mistake that I did.
